STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

They were out completely of chicken so we had limited menu options. The device was fine, server a bit sassy but then so am I, ha. So that was ok. I wouldn’t say my experience was great overall. Sliders were great though.

They were out of all cuts of steak. Ended up getting a CEASAR salad with salmon. The salad was served on the tiniest plate with a protein. My salmon was so dry. The server was incredibly sweet but the lack of food options and my salmon really made the experience underwhelming. Won’t be back

The restaurant was a perfect fit for our visit to Downtown Chattanooga! The food and ambiance were an excellent setting for anyone looking to have exquisite food, unique cocktails, and overall enjoyable meal. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone for any occasion!!! Our server Rachel was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu and made the overall experience memorable.

Scallops were delicious although I didn’t care for more than 10 bites of the 2 pounds of vegetables underneath haha . Wife had the shrimp and grits which are her favorite . I don’t like grits but I tried these and they were very tasty . We have been here over 6 times and the food is always good and so are the drinks .

Perfect atmosphere for couples, friends, and larger groups. I would not suggest to bring children, as the beautiful bar is a main focal point. Great place for cocktails!! The bartenders are entertaining to watch and create beautiful drinks.

I ordered the Filet and goat cheese ravioli. The filet was cooked good but it came with 3 dry raviolis. I feel for $35 it should have been better. My husband ordered the steakhouse burger that he said was overpriced and just ok. We did the fried green tomatoes that were bland but edible. I expected better considering the high prices. Next time I'll stick to nick and Norms that is next door.

Delicious, as always. But things just a little below their usual standard: high-top seats were a little battered looking, and menus were dog-eared and sad. Stir is an up-market experience. These details matter.

This place checked all the boxes. Was able to secure a quick reservation without wait. Steak and frites were excellent. Service was top notch and there was a great wine selection. Great value for the money and was exactly what I expected. Nice work.

The Austin Mule was fantastic. Our app was tasty, but the main dishes were lack luster. I had the grilled salmon and the farro that came with it was full of onions. I love onions, but I couldn’t have one bite of the farro without onion. The farro itself needed salt. Salmon was over cooked for my taste. We did go on a Saturday night, so the place was extremely loud. Maybe on a different night it would be better for conversation. Overall, at $94 I will not be returning unless it’s for drinks.

Definitely coming back!! Birthday dinner was a success and enjoyed by all! Keegan was especially sweet and patient with us while we ordered a bit of everything! Thank you for a fantastic experience, and see you again soon! P.S. I do recommend the crab bisque, Maryland oysters, and your steak cooked medium rare (to perfection, btw).
