Food was all very good. We had a 7:30p rez. Four of the items we identified on the online menu beforehand were no longer available. Disappointed but we found other items that sounded appealing and were good just not our first choice. We order a fresh whole fish to be grilled. We waited and waited and the fish never arrived. Wait person kept saying 10 min. Finally manager stopped by to say the fish we picked out never made it to the grill. It would be another 20 minutes. He offered us another bottle of wine on the house. Nice gesture. Fish arrived and server took the first stab at removing the bones. Did a half job and , began having trouble with de-boning the fish and left saying you can do the rest on your own. We didn't get out of restaurant until 10:30. We had an enjoyable evening with friends but the service was not top notch and we should have been out of there in half the time.

Lively place in Miami Beach with a small but high quality menu. I wasn't blown away by the shrimp and grits, however. Ambiance is basic and noise level extremely higth, so not a great place for a business dinner.

The restaurant was substantially understaffed creating unnecessary delays and frustration which distracts from what should be a positive experience. The menu is a bit over thought and the food is a lot more complicated than it should be.

The food was outstanding, however the service was very rude and slow.
We had an 8:00 reservation, we arrived 15 minutes early and were not seated until 8:45.
This would have been ok if we could get a drink at the bar, but the bartender was so rude. When we asked if we could see a drink menu he said, “I’m REALLY swamped and I need you to be more patient.” This was the first time we had asked, and we are very nice.
By the time the drink at the bar arrived (45 minutes) it was time to be seated.
Our waitress was also rude, ignored us to talk to a group of young men, and evened utterly annoyed at having to serve us.
While the food was delicious, there are so many wonderful restaurants in Miami so I would not recommend this place

Cute place with frantic wait staff, maybe due to understaffing. Slow taking order and bringing drinks. Dark and Stormy not good. Ordered draft beer off menu, unavailable. Ordered calamari appetizer, unavailable. Ordered fries, unavailable. Wedge salad good. Conch fritters pretty good. Scallops and pumpkin ravioli, ok. After mention in NYT "36 Hours in South Beach" column I was expecting better experience.

Amazing food and cocktails. We had the Snapper Ceviche and Smoked Fish appetizer. Both were really amazing. The potatoe chips that accompanied the smoked fish were fresh, cooked perfectly, crunchy (not greasy) and tasted phenomenal. The smoked fish..... I wish I could buy by the pound and take home. For Dinner I had the local catch which was sooo good, cooked perfectly and would order again. My girlfriend ordered the crab cakes and they might be the best tasting crab cakes she (and I've) ever had. The cocktails were also amazing. From watermelon juice ice cubes to orange bitters, they have a nice touch. Lastly I would get the key lime pie. It reminds me of Juniors Cheesecake in NY with a key lime flavor. Just Devine. If I have one con, avoid the chocolate Yule log. No flavor and I would avoid it.

Don't get an outdoor table unless you like eating next to a bus stop! Great food and the indoor atmosphere was attractive, but the service was slow and the "patio" was just concrete slab next to a sidewalk/bus stop.

The food we had was okay....coconut shrimp was great. Tile fish was just okay & the wedge salad was blah. Hated the super sweet mango sauce they served with stone crabs....ruined the crab. The primary problem was by 8pm they had run out of the special crispy fish for 2 that is their big deal. Also forgot to give us the sides we ordered. Waitstaff seemed uninterested.
Might try again because I think it might have been an off night but with so many restaurants in Miami, hard to commit.

Went for an early dinner before a Heats game. It was great! The oysters were a little disappointing. The smoked fish and crab cakes were excellent! I would 100% recommend this place for any seafood lover.

My husband and I were visiting from out of town, and this ended up being our favorite dinner spot. The food was delicious (we had the mango salad, soft cornbread, crab cake with krab noodles, and key lime pie - YUM), the atmosphere was laidback and unpretentious, and the service was excellent. We'll definitely come back!

Oysters were delicious. The fish fried was a very good surprise. Very tasty!
Us being gluten free had no issues since almost all options were gluten free. The pineapple creme brule was gluten free and very good!
Monica was a very helpful server. Decor very nice too. We will come back.

For the most part, seafood was worth the hype and delivered on freshness & flavor – but then the price was revealed. Stone crabs typically go for $20 per pound when they come in frozen packages, and from my understanding, even when fresh caught the cost shouldn't exceed $50. We paid a staggering $120 for a tiny amount of stone crab and it wasn't made clear to us on the menu or noted by the server.

The hostess graciously seated us when we arrived half an hour early for our 7 p.m. reservation, but our unsmiling waiter didn't seem to understand that we wanted to enjoy a round of cocktails prior to ordering appetizers. While the seafood in the "full tackle" was cold and delicious, the portions were skimpy for the $100 cost. The appetizer and entree were served at the same time. The mango in the salad was more firm than sweet and it was overwhelmed by the candied pecans. The dry, barely warm pumpkin ravioli obliterated the bay scallops. All in all, an unmemorable dining experience.

Stiltsvile Fish Bar did not disappoint! The atmosphere and food were amazing. The place was hustling and very busy so the service was a bit slow but we were not in a hurry. Justin our waiter was the OG and very knowledgable with the dishes. The manager was a active and helped out a lot. I would strongly recommend a night out with the significant other at this place. Well worth the spend!

I never write reviews. But the awful experience here compels me to do so. We came with a party of six on Jan 1 for 8:30 pm reservation. At 8:55 we were seated. We asked what fish is the daily catch. The waiter said it’s sold out. We asked about the whole fish. Sold out. We asked about the tuna. sold out. We asked about the shrimp. sold out. Did I mention this is a FISH restaurant. Management made no effort to inform us they were out of all fish while we waited almost half an hour. They showed total indifference about the embarrassing reality that they literally had no fish. Finally they offered grouper collars, an act of desperation from the kitchen, which the waiter could not have described in a less appetizing way. The manager said “I’m sorry, we couldn’t get fish today.” Which begs the question of why they didn’t buy sufficient amounts of what they are supposed to specialize in on Dec 30 or 31? And don’t say fish would not have been fresh as we all know it’s flash freezed and the restaurant could have keep it fresh and safe for 24 hours. Basically the entire experience ranks as among the worst I’ve had. All they had to do was show some genuine remorse, offer a round of drinks, or discount on the crab cakes, or anything to show that they realized they needed to step up and prioritize customer service. Bottom line is the fish may be good when they have it but any restaurant that treats customers as we were by tree ayes is not one that deserves support.
