I left feeling completely swindled out of my money. It was father's day and everything on the menu was reasonably priced - $50 dollars at most and the steak I ordered was $35. The waiter asked if we wanted to know the specials... one of the specials was a red snapper. my dad ordered the red snapper since its one of his favorite fishes. I was shocked to see the bill. The bill comes back and it was $120 dollars for a red snapper!! I was shocked and I asked the waiter if that was the correct price and he said "yes sorry". It felt deceptive to not tell the price beforehand when it was 3x the price of anything else on the menu. I won't be back unfortunately.

I don't why this place is so highly rated in OpenTable. If it had been rated 2/5 or 3/5 I would have been fine with it but it's not. It has a 4.7/5 rating that I frankly am BAFFELED. Lets list this out: (1) There's a disconnect between the reservation via Open Table compared with what actually is happening in the restaurant. I wanted to make a 5 pm reservation because of a prior event but couldn't because there wasn't any availability. I ended up having to take a 4:15 pm because they were "booked" then. I had to rush out of my prior event and stress out to get there on time just to find that multiple table empty available well past 5 pm. (2) The interior and ambiance isn't bad but DEFINTELY doesn't rate a 4.7. The furnishings, walls, and decorations are pretty bland. Cheesecake factory has more ambiance and nicer decor. (3) The waiter was friendly but service definitely not efficient. Yes it was fathers day, but they weren't that busy when we arrived and for most of our time there. At the end it did get very busy. Hence, while I don't like waiters that hover, I don't appreciate being ignored. There were very long periods where our waiter was busy attending other tables. I poured my own wine, repeatedly asked for water, and had to call him over three times. (4) My party had the steak special, Tandoori Salmon, ribs and fries, and carbonade. It was all good but, again definitely not at a 4.7 rating level. None of the food we ate there blew us away. (5) This restaurant is rated $$ but the bill including 3 appetizers, 4 entrees, 4 desserts, and an inexpensive $45 bottle came out to over $350.00 before and with tip over $410. Maybe that $$ applies in NYC but sorry not in NJ. Overall you could do a lot worse, the food won't blow you away but overall solid. The people are friendly, and the place is bland but nice. I just would have liked to my expectations to be more aligned with what I found.

We had brunch and it was absolutely delicious! It was the best baby back ribs I've ever had. Everyone in our group loved their meal and the service was perfect! Would definitely go back.

Long time area resident and first time at S&B for dinner. Food and drinks were very good! The Lemon Zinger cocktail is a winner and every food item we ordered from appetizers to oysters to our main course was scrumptious. Service was so-so and this was a disappointment. Our server was slow, inattentive, and seemed confused while serving us. (He brought us dessert menus before we got our entrees) In addition, we had to ask several times for the empty glasses and plates to be removed from our table. Maybe an off night? We really did enjoy the food and cocktails!

Well worth the 3 hr drive from RI. King Crab still a little frozen but Oyster selection and quality excellent. Will be back. Bill and Cindy(NJ).

Was here for Bone Appetit. The food and drinks were very good, however, the service was slow and inattentive. The waiter was pleasant, however, plates were not cleared away in a timely manner, water glasses were not refilled, we were not asked if we wanted another drink or dessert, we needed to ask. Overall, it was a fun evening with the dog.

Russel has really done a great job maximizing the customer experience. Last night I went in with my wife and 2 girls and the bartender made me the best Old Fashioned with Rye whiskey I've had in a long time. The specials are amazing especially the buccatini with arrabiata sauce and tons of lobster in between. The manager is always helpful and looking after your every need. We continue to go back frequently for an amazing experience. Richard Dauhajre.

We went for the dog event Bone Apetit and it was so fun! They had an amazing 3 course meals for our pups featuring bone marrow to start and then a choice of steak/salmon/turkey meatballs for main course then choice of pumpkin pie or ice cream for desert! It was so cute and our pups were so happy. The staff was gracious and friendly and we loved our experience!

The food was quite good, especially the Little Neck Clams. We ordered wine and they brought out the wrong bottle (never had that happen before), then they realized they didn’t have what I had ordered. The bottle we got was fine.
