Stephanie's On Newbury
Book your next event with us
I will try Sonia and see which one tastes better. However, Stephanie is a good place to come
Food was delicious and the waitstaff were very friendly! Can’t wait to go back!
We were sat in the upstairs section, central table, which was fine, but for the fact that cool air was blown onto us by air conditioners, which made some of our guests feel a bit cold. Is it possible to redirect the air upwards, rather than at the guests directly? The food was fine, although one guest's requested medium rare strip steak was more medium to overdone. The waiter was poor, being unsure of what he was supposed to do, and at times snappy. Charitably, this may have been because he was new or untrained, or both. That said, previous visits to the restaurant have been better than this one, plus it has the benefit of plenty of tables, so is often easier to book when other smaller, more upscale restaurants are booked out.
Birthday. Loved sitting upstairs in the middle of dining space under the sky windows. Our waitress and team we’re very attentive. We had a wonderful time and experience. Will be coming back again.
Crab cake was super dry all bread crumbs and no crab. hamburger was terrible. i was completely let down in a place I considered always consistently great.
Used to be amazing, but seems like it's resting on its laurels. Very slow.
The service and food were excellent. I loved the decor.
While it is a little on the pricey side, service was amazing, food is always top notch and it has always been a great spot for a brunch
I ordered chicken which was good. Potatoes were scarce and rabe was tough and chewy.
A great location for meeting friends for breakfast or brunch in Boston. Service was excellent. Food was very good, but all were hot, fairly heavy options. Would have liked to have an option of yogurt, granola and fruit.
Steak was tough. Apps (wedge and crab cakes) were the stars.
Very good, attentive service. The entrees were served quickly, but before the salad, which was not our preference but not a big deal either. I was able to switch out a vegetable I did not like for one that I do so I appreciated the accommodation.
The service and location were the best parts. The bartender was fantastic and really on top of things. On the other hand, the food was overall below par. The oversized skillets don't make a lot of sense; food was a bit sloppy, didn't taste all that great and was way overpriced for what was delivered.
if was gooood
I ordered the steak salad and the steak was complete raw. Additionally, the food was very overpriced and the service was poor. When we raised a concern to the manager he was rude and did not seem to care.
Overall not a good experience, I will not be going back (I recommend avoiding this restaurant).
place was pretty empty and waitress just stood around never coming to our table for over 15 minutes
we wanted a drink to start -so disappointing when the restaurant was pretty empty.
we thought the food was fair-service porr, and experience poor,
Something’s changed here, for the worse. This used to be our standby place where we knew we could get a consistently good meal. No longer. The menu hasn’t changed, but the quality of food sure has. Now I understand why the restaurant was half empty on a Saturday night. Very disappointing.
Wonderful service, very accommodating, friendly, and pleasant
great location on Newbury for out of towner's visiting. Prices on the expensive side (we are from NYC area so used to that) & food was around B+. Have been to Stephanie's for outdoor brunch in the summer months previously and that was a better experience.
food flavor great but for being not very busy i was surprised the food was a bit cold
My order was made wrong twice, and after that I didn’t want to request a new meal again. I reached out to the restaurant about this and have not heard back. I would still recommend because Stephanie’s is usually good overall. This experience was disappointing and even more disappointing no one replied to my inquiry.
Pre-vacation - staying at Logan airport.
The food was good, but the browned potatoes with the eggs benedict were not crispy and the Hollandaise lacked spirit a little more lemon would have made it much better. The noise level is over the top. The waiter was attentive without being overbearing. I would recommend her.
All good per usual!
The food is very good, it is a great place for anniversary or special date or a girls night out.
Great food for brunch, expensive mimosas (no bottomless option), great service!!
We love Stephanie’s so much, and always book when we’re in Boston! The staff are fantastic, and the food is absolutely beautiful! We are always just so pleased with our experiences here :)
Don’t look at the pictures online and assume that is what you are getting. Read the menu and read the description online of the picture.
Lady next to us- this doesn’t look like the picture. Waitress- i apologize but that isn’t what you ordered, if you would’ve shown me the picture I would’ve told you that’s a seasonal plate. I will make it right for you.
Overall very attentive. Food is phenomenal.
Everything was amazing and delicious- definitely we will return again.
Shrimp lettuce wraps are amazing! As I’d the mushrooms orichette.
I think there needs to be more lunch choices on a Saturday afternoon. Everyone does not want breakfast. Also French fries would be nice with the sandwich instead of just chips.
Even though there were open tables and we had a reservation the hostess kept us waiting more than 15 minutes. We had to ask the waitress twice for everything: a side plate, hot sauce, water. At one point we asked for rolls, the second time we asked she said she was warming them up, the third time (20 minutes later) we asked she brought them out and they were ice cold- so much for warming them.up. I have been to Stephanie's many times and will go back the food was good as usual.
Great food great service! Burger and chopped wedge is the way to go!
Great skillet breakfast & cappuccino!
Super noises but crazy good food and service!
Everything I hoped for when booking!
They were out of the shakshuka which was disappointing but the service was pretty good. Took us a little while to get served. The veggie omelette was tasty but nothing unusual. The pancakes and monkey bread were very good
Best brunch place in Boston
Excellent food, great atmosphere. Service seemed distracted and had a couple of order issues, which were rectified.
Would definitely recommend and go back though, suggest be very clear with what you want...place is busy as well as the kitchen.
It was perfect!
