We had a nice dinner. They did not seat us near other people so we felt very comfortable. Food was great and service wonderful.
Second time we've eaten there. The food is very healthy and tasty. Also our server was top quality. We'd highly recommend it. And if you're going to an event at The Chase Center, you can't beat the 5 minute walk after eating...
Undercooked meat
Great ambiance and appetizers are good, but the entrees lacked flavor.
The restaurant was very accommodating of our constantly changing reservation, due to scheduling issues from the medical center. They seated us at a nice table and the food came out quickly. Each dish was delicious. My husband said the halibut was cooked perfectly. The brussels sprouts had just the right amount of spice to it. The burrata was fine--I'm not sure I wouldn't have been happier with a different thing under the cheese, but it was fine.
There was a large party near us and it was too noisy for us to hear each other comfortably.
STEM is one of our go-to places. It's open, friendly, and beautiful. We love the farm to table concept. Food is delicious and they always have some fun outside-the-box menu items as well as things that everyone will love.
Fabulous place. Always a great experience. Wonderful food and service. Beautiful ambience and quiet enough for easy conversation.
Good value, easy access, delicious food, and comfortable seating. Halibut was amazing!
Went to STEM before a show at the Chase Center. It's proximity was it's only value. Decor? Decent. Menu? Fair. A few small plates, some pizzas and 4 larger plates ~ $30 each. Wait time for server? Too long. Sure there were other people there for the show but the server came by twice before he took our order to apologize for the wait, but then still didn't return for a while. Kudos though for asking if we were going to the show and the plates did come out in good time. Except for the beet salad we ordered which never came - half way through our order he came up and apologized that he forgot to put it in. Seriously? And drinks? Good but $$$. The food was "fresh" but uninspiring. Burratta was runny, shrimp pizza was typical. I suppose it'd be nice for a happy hour but really, for these prices and "service", I'll skip STEM next time - you should too.
Restaurant is always fantastic! Good flavors, great ambiance, and easy parking.
Great customer service by servers AND Manager, Jim. As someone who is in Hospitality industry, I'll definitely visit again because of this. Food and wine was very good.
Restaurant located up stairs from medical building, not sure if there was elevator available. Nice enough ‘look’, big picture windows. Choice of two starters and two Entree, no pork belly which was what I wanted to try..food good but lamb burger was a bit dry. Good deal for lunch for restaurant week. Construction going on.. available street parking with meter
Such a cool, dynamic place so close to the work offices of Mission Bay.
Great place for a pre Warriors game meal. Good beer, tasty small bites and pizza, relaxing atmosphere, and right next to Chase Center. The only problem is they close at 9:00. I’d like to go after the game, too.
Stem is always consistent, fresh and tasty. I like the smaller menu and cocktails are always hand crafted.
Friendly and welcoming atmosphere good value too for San Francisco.
Good food, slow service.
Wow, great pork belly sandwich.
We showed up on a quiet holiday night. The staff was great, we had two fun cocktails, and the food was really good! Thoroughly enjoyed the risotto, halibut and brussels sprouts. Definitely a nice spot for a meal before a game... or after a checkup at UCSF!
Great find right near Chase Center! Incredible outdoor area overlooking water which we didn’t even tap into since it was night- Yummy food well priced well Wine bottles 50% off on Tuesdays!
New Years at Chase Center watching Dead & Company
Really poor service. Took forever to get anyone to come by. Food was delivered without silverware or plates and we were left waiting until the food was cold. The food was pretty mediocre. They ran out of our second dish and only told us as they brought our first but never asked for what we wanted instead. First drink I ordered was awesome. Got a second and it was a completely different drink. Overall poor experience and wouldn’t go back.
Thank you very much for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience did not live up to yours or our expectations of food and service. Providing an exceptional experience is important to us and we hope that you will give us another opportunity to make it right. Warm regards, Jim
This was our third and final time at STEM. The pizza was soggy, the salads overdressed and tasteless and the cocktails were pricey and boring. The service was egregiously bad. We sat at our table for 10 minutes and we had to flag someone down to get a drink. Finished plates were sitting in front of us for twenty minutes. Wait staff seemed to disappear for long periods of time and appeared out of it when we flagged them down. To add insult on to injury they automatically added a twenty percent tip onto our bill which completely unwarranted.
I
both our entress were tasteless
halibut
lamb shanks
the sauces added nothing
Stem has the best team - so enthusiastic, great service, and helpful. Food is delicious! This will always be my go-to place when attending an event at The Chase Center!
It was an excellent venue. Our pizza, salad, chicken were delicious. The chef was very accommodating to our various tastes and needs. Hip location. Staff is superb.
Thank you🙏
the roasted brussels sprouts were the highlight of our meal
Food was amazing, very fresh. Sausage pizza had too many peppers.
we sat outside on a nice day which was pleasant and the brussell sprouts some of the best i've ever had.
however, the seared tuna was way overcooked and was the only time i've ever had fresh tuna that actually tasted like starkist. i ate one bite and let the rest. it was truly worst tuna i've ever had by far. the service was also lousy. it was very slow yet we were ignored for long periods at a time and when i told the waitress about the tuna, she seemed completely unphased and did not offer to remove it from the check.
Pre-concert date - very nice food and ambiance but inexperienced and a bit erratic service staff. We would come back!
Nice view from window. Great gardens outside
Octopus appetizer is fantastic. Halibut'sa bit dry, but taste is good. Great place to enjoy the Bay before a Chase event especially the GS Warriors.
The food was bland- the salad was not dressed and we had to ask them to bring dressing to the table. The soup was without any salt/pepper. Extremely disappointed as I had been here several times before and this was absolutely the worst combination of food and service. The waitress was unable to put on a smile the whole time we were there. We will not be returning.
Good cocktails, friendly staff. Food is pretty good but as most places in SF slightly overpriced. Good proximity to Chase Center and a cool view of the bay out back.
Limited menu, probably due to farm to fork availability. Close to the Chase center is a plus.
Great for drinks and apps before a game or show at Chase Center. Service is a bit slow on waited tables so sit at the bar, but the food and cocktails were great!
Ask for Jeremy, hands down best service we have ever received. Friendly, knowledgeable, and is the reason we keep coming back. That and the food and drinks!
I love going to STEM! I love the fresh ingredients from their local garden and their delicious menu and ambiance! My favorite appetizer is the honey chili brussel sprouts! Yum! The main reason I go to STEM is for Aubrey. She is is fabulous! Her attention to detail goes above and beyond what you would expect. She is the BEST!
The service was poor. We had 3 servers and waited about 20 minutes from when they dropped the dessert menus off to when we ordered. They were not busy at all and we could barely get served.
Beautiful space- We went on a non Chase event so it was completely empty- and just a few tables outside. The food sounded amazing, but we were so disappointed- Nothing had any flavor. Heirloom tomato salad, kale salad with Burrata cheese- no flavor. Everything was so bland- My husband said it best, "they are cooking for color, not flavor" Hope they can get some flavor because it is a beautiful space
The food was fantastic! I look forward to going back in the evening to see the restaurant at night.
