Noah was awesome. Made it a great evening for celebrating our special occasion. Thank you Noah and the chefs. Food was great!
All 4 of us enjoyed our respective meals tremendously. The only complaint was the price, which was on the high side.
We had a great time celebrating my son's 45th birthday!! Our server was the best and the lobster, oysters... we're fabulous!!
I had forgotten how much we enjoy eating at Stella's. The food is really tasty and interesting, the portions are generous, and the service from our waitress Meghan, was quick, friendly, and efficient. We will be going back there again.
Food was good for seafood in the midwest. Meals were hot when delivered. Service by Greg was friendly and attentive. We had a booth in a quieter corner as requested.
We frequent Stella's a lot in the summer and sit on the rooftop, it is great! First time we had dinner inside, and, while the food was good, as always, picking St. Patricks day, on a Saturday, and perfect weather in Minneapolis, wasn't exactly the kind of ambiance we would have expected. Not the restaurant's fault, but it was quite boisterous and a lot of folks that had too much to drink, and we were in there at 6:00 p.m. Given that, I thought the staff at Stella's did a good job of managing the drinkers from the diners. It was worth checking out!
Our group consisted of 9 adults, which can sometimes cause delays with ordering, but it didn't at Stella's (and it was busy because of St. Patrick's Day). Our server was great - very informative about the menu when we had questions. Our appetizers, cocktails and meals were fantastic! We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning :-)
Great food and service!
The food was excellent! Stella's is a perfect choice for a large group with both seafood and non-seafood selections.
Noah, our server greeted me by name at the door. We had a reservation. He was charming and helpful with the menu options. Also, I appreciated his perfect balance of engaging with us and respecting our work. Great experience. He recommended the warm lobster roll... amazing.
Worst experience I've had ever at a restaurant how embarrassing that I invited my family and friends to this place that I've said nothing but good things about. The service was not goid at all, the food was undercooked , it was a gathering for my birthday I said that when I confirmed my reservation.
It was a part of 10 and we were treated pretty irrelevant to the server the whole time we were there, not to mention when they did bring out the food it was all wrong.
Great time. Accommodated a large group with small children.
Very busy evening. Had reservations and got seated right away. Service was great and food came quickly. Food was great as expected. Have eaten at Stella’s a number of times and is a go to spot when in the cities.
Our experience didn’t start off real promising. It was our first time there and our table took an extra 15-20 minutes because there was some confusion. No worries though, we waited at the bar and did some people watching. I requested a high top table and we got a regular low table. The server (Josh) and the fabulous food made up for it all! There was a mix up with my order but it was fixed immediately. Josh and his sense of humor were very welcome! He did a fabulous job and made sure we got a little something extra for our troubles. Dessert! Thanks Josh and we will be back!
We set a reservation but we didn’t get seated instantly because they had confusion with previous customers before us. We waited a few minutes but we got seated at a booth which was what we preferred. The restaurant was too loud for us to have a decent conversation.
We had a Groupon which was definitely worth the deal. Service and food were absolutely amazing. A great evening.
Very good food and portions.
We came with 5 of our friends, three of us having birthday's within the month. The place was busy, but they seated us right away and we did have reservations. It took a few minutes for the waitress to come and take a drink order. We ordered drinks and appetizers, they were awesome. I will say the mussels, which they are advertising and reviewed as "the best", were good, but by far not the best I've had. We all ordered our meals, It took some time to receive them and they were delivered with finess! The plates were displayed very nicely. The asparagus was firm, but tender and delicious. My husband's filet steak was on the rare side, but delicious as well. We all enjoyed our food very much! The loaded hashbrowns were a huge hit, but way too much for any one person to take on, and we all had leftovers. I would go again in a heartbeat.
Liked the crab cake. but not lump crab but shredded. The warm lobster roll was very tasty. The coleslaw was just right. The potato chips were very crispy and low in salt..a good thing. The warm brownie was very good. The service was very good. The only thing I didn't like was the water. I don't know if it was tap or what but it had a strange taste. I couldn't drink it. It was slightly bubbly not good at all. Not sure if it tasted of the dish washing soap. My husband's walleye was good.
Enjoyed a Sunday lunch at Stellas. Daughter & son-in-law were using a Groupon and it seemed like a great deal. Our server was very good.
Food was outstanding! Salmon Oscar, Bass and lobster Mac &cheese. All were exceptionally good!
Noise level a little too high though.
Excellent crab cake and Oysters Rock. Nice cocktails. Good meals all around, but less enthusiasm for the pasta dishes. Big seafood platters got raves - would definately do that again. Very good service, especially for a busy Saturday
Had a reservation and was seated immediately upon our arrival. The waiter Noah was excellent just asked a question about why they didn’t have steamers on menu and within 10 minutes I had received a dish full of clams. Noah was very knowledgeable about the menu which lead me and my wife to try new things. And will definitely go back and ask for Noah.
Bad service fish greasy will never go back wait and wait 2.5 hours all I wanted to was eat and go crazy and 65.00 later wish I went somewhere else
Great lunch and all the better with a Groupon! Love this place!
The food was delicious and that's all that matters.
Food was so so. Service was indifferent. Atmosphere was not present.
We will not return
Did the lobster bake for 4. Really good service.
Food was amazing! Service was great!
We have purchased the 4 course Groupon a couple of times. It's a great deal! You get a lot of delicious food for the price. We usually have more than enough for both of us and bring a bit home. If you can get on the patio it's a bonus. We also like to do the oyster happy hour.
We were there for a birthday dinner and the waiter at first was fine. For the rest of the dinner you could tell the waiter (Micheal)was frustrated, upset, annoyed or just didn’t like his job. He would disappear for long periods of time while we were waiting to order. I’m not sure what happened but the place wasn’t busy . The food was good but the steak that my husband ordered was ‘well done’ not ‘medium well ‘ like he ordered. Overall we still had a great time but as far as visiting in the near future that probably won’t happen.
It wasn't as good as it the first few times we were there. Food quality went downhill.
I have heard good things about this restaurant so i was a bit disappointed when I did not like the food. It may have just been the selected items I picked but I can not say I would go again.
My coconut shrimp was fried to hard and my lobster roll was overwhelmed with onions and/or relish type ingredients making it almost too strong to eat. I could only finish half of it.
In addition the table we were sat at was next to the window and a vent that blew cold air. Half the time I was there I had my coat on because I was so cold.
We didn't see our waiter much, there was however another girl refilling our waters, my only complaint about that is that when she would pick up the cup she would pick it up by the rim ie the part we have to drink off of, no straws were provided. I think that is a little unsanitary as she was clearing tables, picking up dirty dishes etc then touching the rim of my cup I have to drink off of.
Overall I was not impressed.
It was restaurant week we had the lobster upgrade it was served Bold North cold the girl who was helping the waitress was the nicest the guy who delivered the food cold dropped the plates on the table the waitress said she saw it steaming hot when we told her it was very cold she brought us hot potatoes for the problem. We were party of four each ticket was about 70 total table was 325 ... for me it was my second disappointed visit . Never again 2 others business partners... we're embarrassed. The restaurant week is for people to try your spot and return . They treated us like well you get what you pay for only thing is we didn't even get what we paid for even at discount it wasn't worth it . So Stella was not so stallar.. she may get her regulars and those who wantvto say they have been there but she won't get those who appreciate good quality food or service for the money they pay .. and this is by no means demanding upper scale just hot food and nice people .. we were not well to doers but we are social media commentary who feed the masses very well and know where to run tell that about great food great places and great people and Stellas won't be it . Sorry not sorry Stella! But we loved making our reservation with open table .. and I always speak highly of open table ... You are the spot to get in and spin 🤗
This isn't the restaurant it once was. Their mussels are still some of the best you can find in the Twin Cities, but the tartar platter totally missed the mark and the salads were just a pile of greens and a few beet chunks scattered in for a very small pop of color. Disappointing food overall, but the service was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable.
I went for Restaurant Week, and was very disappointed in the quality of service my party received. Service was quite slow, and our waiter's attitude was horrendous and disrespectful. We enjoyed the food, and the manager apologized for the poor service we experienced, which was appreciated, but I don't know if any of us will be back; there are other excellent places to order seafood in the twin cities where the service is much better.
Noah was our server and he was fantastic. The food offering for restaurant week was great, and a very good deal. Loved the chowder, and seafood platter!!! We'll be back again soon.
Excellent food. Outstanding service. Every special request filled with top-notch attention. Very, very noisy.
My husband and I had a wondeful dining experience! Food and service was really great!
