Our waiter was horrible. Food was good though
Our service was terrible Very disappointing. I have been there numerous times and our waiter was extremely inattentive. The food was not as good either. Pizza was cold.
Food & service was amazing throughout the meal. Nice and filling portion sizes.
Unfortunately we had a sour experience to end the night. They did not honor a $15 off promotion from their website, even after we had our server double check with the manager. They stated that the promo code wouldn't work the same day we received it. Mind you, this exclusion was NOT mentioned on the website, or we would have picked another night! Hard to trust that they would honor their promos in the future.
Incredible service — great recommendations
Food was mindblowingly good. All the pizzas were so flavorful and the crust was delicious. Could not recommend everything on the menu enough.
Children everywhere - it’s a daycare center until after 730
There was water on the floor and my lady slipped and fail hard on the floor. She hurt her leg .
Always great food, great ambience and super kid friendly. Our server was beyond kind and pleasant -- attentive but not over-bearing. The guys at the bar that made pizzas with my kids were great. Nice to have food the kids AND adults want to eat.
Great brunch with all kinds of goodies. Will definitely be back !!!!
we went for their NYE brunch and after waiting nearly 30 minutes to be seated for our reservation, once seated it took the server nearly 15 minutes to get us both a mimosa. We opted for the brunch buffet which had a long line and many of the items offered they failed to replenish - including the shrimp and potatoes. I would never go back for the buffet but might consider one of their pizzas - those looked tempting.
Fun New Year’s Day brunch with family. Food was great but ran out often. That would be my only constructive feedback.
I love Stella Barra! I've been here a couple times. It doesn't get the same love as Summer House for some reason but I think that the food is actually better. We went here for NYE dinner so it was packed, as to be expected. It seemed like they fit more tables in there than what usually fit there, so that's why I would ding them on the ambiance. You really can't beat the value here.
We got the classic caesar salad and sausage and peppers tavern style pizza as an appetizer than we split with another couple. Both were great. The tavern style was so light and nice to squeeze in as trying another item on the menu as a split item.
My boyfriend and I then also split the hobbs pepperoni pizza. We split a bottle of wine with the other couple and the bill was still under $100! We'll be back again!
Get the mushroom pizza
Our waiter was not interested in helping us as we were not drinking. it was a Sunday nght at 6:30 and they were ot f the truffle dipping sauce. The caesar salad we order was brown lettuce. I asked for fresh lettuce and they were annoyed. Very little salad dressing and asked for more...problem. Asked for fresh parmesan and we got a pinch. Asked for water every time our glasses were empty. Everything seamed to be difficult and the restaurant was half empty.
i think about the prosciutto egg white pizza on a daily basis
I absolutely love the feel of this place. The meal was outstanding, with the service and ambiance to match.
Always enjoy eating there!
It was my birthday and I had requested a booth if possible we had never been there- they did not honor our request and the booths sat empty the whole time we dined our waitress was wonderful the food was great , But disappointed in the seating
Great service and delicious food
We went for any early dinner with our kids. Food was great and our server was fabulous! Looking forward to going back without the kids!
Reservation was for 8, we arrived early but didn’t get seated until 8:15-8:20
Excellent food and service!
Food at Stella Barra is consistently tasty, but last night’s atmosphere definitely made it harder to appreciate the food. We had to wait to be seated until 20 minutes after our reservation started and the wait staff was obviously overwhelmed and barely paying attention to us. It’s not their fault, but restaurant managers definitely need to improve their operations so busy nights are still enjoyable for the customers. It was also very loud and noisy.
Meatballs were cold and over spiced. Good for kids though. Service very agreeable.
It was great and they have a nice happy hour menu.
Egg prosciutto pizza is great
We made a reservation (thank goodness because the place was jam packed) we were seated shortly after arrival, food was good, staff was great and reasonably priced meal.
My husband and I decided to give this place a try for my birthday this year. Our dining experience left a lot to be desired. The pizza was bland, the salads and wines we ordered were just okay. Our waiter appeared to be strung out on some type of upper and was very forgetful of minor requests we had made. The roasted Brussels we got as an app were good, but how hard is it to execute a roasted veggies? We left underwhelmed and will likely not go back as we thought the food was overpriced and not memorable.
We enjoy the Sunday brunch buffet. It is smaller than most, and not overwhelming, but there is plenty of food and choices, and the price is reasonable. There are some usual things, like great scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, thick bacon, pancakes, sausage, but there are some unusual things, like egg whites with kale, sausage hash, bacon mac and cheese, corn and scrambled egg cheese enchiladas, various roasted vegetable confits, desserts, and more. Service is warm, friendly, and efficient. Overall, a great Sunday brunch experience.
We love Stella Barra. We go regularly with our toddler. It’s a great atmosphere for families where you still get great food and drinks.
Our service was incredibly bad. We were essentially ignored by our server aside from ordering and paying.
They have some of the best gluten free pizza and our waiter was super helpful with making decisions and giving his input!
The best gluten-free pizza in the city
The squash pizza is terrible. It should not be in the menu/ is that bad. Bartender was very accommodating. .
Fun spot to take an out of town friend visiting Chicago for the first time. Service and ambience was great
Maybe the worst pizza ever in Chicago. Came out like cardboard.... just soooo bad really!!
Our server was the best! Great service, great personality, friendly.
The Gluten Free pizza was surprisingly great and our waiter couldn’t have been nicer. Great for a casual night out.
We had a fabulous waitress who described the specials well and also encouraged us to try the AMAZING PUMPKIN PIE! Love this place!
Karylin was an amazing server!! She took such great care of us and made our whole experience. The food was also so excellent.
This is a solid bunch for $24.95. 90% of everything was good, the food is fresh, hot, tasty and good quality. The two negative are the breakfast sausage/bacon selection. The sausage does not appear cooked, it is white in color and not brown like it should be. I don't think it was chicken breakfast sausage. The bacon was dry and hard. It looked like plastic bacon that would be in a deli showcase showing what the meal looked like (even though it is not real food). Don't know how anyone can screw up bacon this bad. The bacon was not hot, it was cold. Error #2, our table ordered two Bloody Mary's. The waitress brought us three and told me the bar inadvertently made one extra and we would not be charged. We were charged.
