   Some of the food was very good, especially the scallops with mushrooms appetizer. But the steak frites disappointed, very tough meat. Service was very good, ambience OK if you like skihaus modern. We probably won't go back, mainly because there are many other good dining options in the Truckee area.

   My wife and I came here for the first time being our anniversary, I didn't expect the food to be so good , wine was on point as we had two delicious glasses, we both ordered the fillet mignon and it was perfectly cooked and had great flavor, the chef even asked how the food was!! Open kitchen was awesome , also outside dinning with heaters above if u wanted to be out there, it was covered for weather too, we are inside though. Prices were high but the food made up for it!! Definitely coming back again!! Thank u staff your awesome!!

   The scallops were the best scallops I’ve ever had. Such a unique flavor. Definitely recommend

   We found Stella through Trip Advisor and an Instagram post. We went for a date night. When we arrived and waited at the hostess desk, multiple staff walked past us several times. We received no acknowledgement, eye contact or welcome. After 4-5 minutes, we were finally greeted and shown to our table. The seating was pretty casual. Not the restaurant's fault but a party on the patio had several young children running in and out of the restaurant. The wine list was rather limited and very over priced. The soup was presented beautifully but just ok in flavor. My boyfriend had the short rib ragout and unfortunately it was rather heavy on the tarragon. My fillet was tender and cooked just to my liking. It was served on mashed potatoes with a demi glaze but not remarkable. The restaurant is fine if you are staying in the vicinity but I would not eat there again.

   Sherrie, I apologize about your recent visit to Stella and not quite finding what you were looking for. Sorry for the wait as we have no standing host sometimes its difficult to manage again, sorry about the wait. I am sorry you feel this way about our wine list and our dishes. There is no tarragon at all in the Short Rib dish and I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the rosemary red wine reduction that we place on the filet. I hope you consiter giving us another chance to give you the dining experience you deserve and are seeking.

   Not impressed with the quality of main entres. The file mignion and fish were overcooked. The presentation is not enough to entice our group to dine again here.

   We had dinner at Stella celebrating a birthday. This was our second time dining at this restaurant. It is hidden gem. Everything from the service to food was absolutely amazing. We had a great experience and can’t wait to come back here on our next Northstar trip.

   The venue was clean and well lit. Wait staff friendly and attentive to our needs. Wine list adequate. However food was only average. I had Black Bass that was under seasoned. The mushrooms however were stellar. Overall a good experience but menu was limited and execution just average.

   Stella was outstanding- as soon as we walked in we were pleasantly greeted by Gimela. The open kitchen concept was modern and fresh. Gimela continued on as our server and did so with great ease and knowledge. She assisted with a wine selection. The special appetizer of pork belly was memorable with so much flavor and a lovely presentation. For the our table of 4 we ordered the following: skillet cornbread- moist and well sweetened; brussel sprouts cooked and favored perfectly; squash soup perfect mix of cream and spices , the best we have ever had; short rib ragout which was creamy rich and the campenelle pasta held the flavors just right and also the cod which was so flavorful. Every dish was presented beautifully. If you are a foodie go here and enjoy!
