My wife and I enjoyed a nice, comfortable, and relaxing dinner. The service was attentive and welcoming. We had scallops, Caesar salad, and filet mignon—all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely be back!

The wait staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. The manager even came to our table to welcome us and inquire about the food. The chef did a super job. I had salmon and my husband had flank steak....both entrees were excellent. We will happily return.

Very small portions for outrageous pricing, and mediocre food. We ordered the scallops appetizer ($25) for only 2 scallops. They tried to cut them in half, so it looked like 4 scallops, but it was two. My dinner was salmon ($45) and it was the size a quarter size of a filet, I couldn’t believe it. We travel the entire world for quality food and have ordered salmon dozens of times, we always get a nice sized filet for around 25-35. The salmon didn’t even come with a carb (such as mashed potatoes) , just a few pieces of bokchoy. The server was super attentive and atmosphere was fine. We won’t be returning.

Not impressed. The food quality was low and overpriced for what you get. Ordered the tuna poke, but it was bland tasting and not fresh. Then ordered the shrimp scampi and filet mignon for mains. The shrimp scampi had a lot of noodles but only four small shrimp. The noodles seemed boxed, not freshly made. The filet mignon was supposed to be medium-rare, but it came well done. They took it back and replaced it, but then it was barely cooked. Not sure if it’s me, but when you take a dish back and know it’s going to take a while, shouldn’t you take the second person’s dish back too and bring new fresh dishes back so both people eat at the same time? Not here. The other party was done eating before my replacement arrived.

We had a great experience, as the GM was our host. His recommendations for wine pairing for the dishes was outstanding. Also they were able to accommodate any dietary restrictions and customized a dish to put requests.

Stella was a bit under our expectations this evening…guessing sort staffed in kitchen and on floor. Long wait for our meal, which was starters only. Salad not fresh. Disappointed as we are local and enjoy eating at Stella.

Every dish we had was unique and inspired. The chef, with his South American touch gave us a brand new flavor profile that we’ve not had before. Enjoyed ourselves as we ate our way through the menu. Every time we come here we are blown away. Thank you Stella !!

Some of the food was very good, especially the scallops with mushrooms appetizer. But the steak frites disappointed, very tough meat. Service was very good, ambience OK if you like skihaus modern. We probably won't go back, mainly because there are many other good dining options in the Truckee area.

Barton, thank you for joining us and happy to hear you enjoyed some of our menu items. The steak frites is a flank steak this is a naturally tougher cut in comparison to others. This is why we have the filet mignon as another option if you are looking for a really nice cut of the tenderloin, very tender and better fat distribution through the meat.
