Good food. Good environment. Nice view. The ony odd part is that the waiter did not took our plates before bringing our cards to sign and pay.
Great midtown spot for after shopping lunch, coffee, dinner. Service impeccable. Ambience really nice, good layout, great views, clean, modern, quick. Good wine selection. Menu caters to almost everyone with both vegetarian and meat selections. Food taste was good- a little bland in my opinion but still good. portion sizes were perfect- a little on the large side actually. I ordered grilled sea bass but it wasn't as crisp as I would have liked. but thats a personal opinion. Otherwise the other dishes ordered tasted good. Desert- gelato was delicious. Good spot for business lunch or dinner.
The atmosphere is very comfortable. I like the bright and roomy environment. We ordered calamari fritti for one of our appetizers, but it is very small. Staffs are friendly.
What a jewel in the middle of the Frame t District. Wonderful food and warm cordial servers. I will eat here every time I visit NYC.
Wonderful prix fix menu for lunch, just superb, rock shrimp was delicious, tomato soup devine, gelato with espresso nice finish, I’ll be back of course:)
excellent quality, amazing taste and very authentic
I wasn't crazy how we were they were kicking us out cause the elevator or Macy's was closing. That's a deal breaker when dining late. Definitely not a spot to hang around after dinner.
A nice gem. Good food and good location.
had the salad for lunch with the shrimp
it was fantastic
service is always great there
Food is wonderful but short staff leaves something to be desired at the service level-- the supervisory staff was helping -- but...
Todo súper bien
Happy to say that the food continues to be excellent here, and prices are still very affordable. The view of the skyline makes it possible to imagine yourself in the 1930s. Be sure to try the gelato--it's the best outside of Italy!
This restaurant is convenient if you’re looking for a casual dining experience that’s close to the Garden. We were seated at a table with a great view of the Empire State Building. The menu is not too extensive but has enough offerings for everyone’s taste. Our party of 4 opted to share a delicious salad, artichoke appetizer, the mushroom pasta and 2 pizzas, one with poached pears and Gorgonzola and the other primavera. Save room for the must-have gelato. There were many flavors to choose from. The only disappointment was that we were celebrating a birthday and had requested a candle which did not arrive. Otherwise it was a very nice meal and a great option for Macy’s shoppers too!
We always enjoy lunch at Stella 34 after the Macy's flower show - great service, love the food, and the light-filled room with a view of the Empire State Building makes it one of our favorite places. And The price fixe lunch of $29 - a special during the flower show- was a great value!
We have been here 3 times, and never get the same dish. We have never been let down. Hint, eat first, so you don't carry your purchases all over.
Have been here multiple times, with one exception things are always good. Food, waitstaff, view. Because of prior experiences, i was able to overlook the one bad experience, especially since management dealt with the issue quickly and
respectfully. Current visit was lovely. Always happy to return.
I've been a long time patron of Stella 34 - they're consistently one of the best restaurants in the Herald Square area as there is not much in the way of more upscale dining there. I've gone for both dinner and lunch over the years and everything is always great. This visit was definitely the busiest I've ever seen them for lunch - probably due to the flower show - which is why I knocked off 1 star for the food (everything we ordered was very good, but not the GREAT we're used to from Stella - cold/dry chicken on the salad, wrong vinaigrette on the salad, etc.) Otherwise our appetizer was great and my guest's meal was too. Stunning ambiance, a great space, and great service. I will be back as always.
Outstanding location with quiet place to have dinner.
Very disappointed in the waitress. Maybe she was having an off day. Our appetizer & main course came out at same time. We ordered 1 drink but she brought 2. Not friendly.
Two friends in town only overnight, so we went to Stella 34 for a late dinner because it was near their hotel. Catching up, we ended up spending a long time there, the last patrons in the whole place. The service continued! They were amazing! They kept refilling our water glasses, we were not rushed, and we were even asked if we wanted dessert. The food was delicious, nice ambience, great views. I've always avoided this restaurant thinking it would be touristy, but I will definitely be back!
Food was very good and the waiter was very helpful and friendly.
Very good service very good and very friendly did t have to wait lomg
Great food and service as always! Thank you Max and your team.
Great table, lovely serene atmosphere in a often frenzied store environment. Outstanding, solicitous waiter and good food.
Went in hungry. Came out less so. Nice bay window table with view of ESB.
We had a great lunch. We ordered two appetizers - the arancini and the calamari which were made very well. The risotto and rock shrimp entree was delicious. Risotto was creamy and the shrimp crisp tender. The pizza margherita was true classic Neopolitan style.
I finally made it here. I was told the food was good. A respite from shopping Macys.
It was beyond the expectations. Service was great, food was outstanding.
We were 4 hungry people. We ordered different dishes & tasted them all.
Not a bad bite in the bunch. I am looking forward to going back.
And the flower show was terrific!
Never disappoints. Food is fresh and very flavorful. Unique combinations that are very pleasing to the palette. Hidden gem.
The food at Stella was delicious! Very convenient location. Service was fine. Only drawback was the noise level; it was a little loud.
Always great. Special menu. Good views. Have been there multiple times, especially when going to a nearby MSG event
I did not like the waiter service. He was not watching the table, did not recommend any dish, did not offer bread, and any dessert . I wanted to try the coffee because I saw that it was very good on the reviews, but decided to request the check. It took forever. I came for vacation from Florida and I wanted to enjoy our last night in NYC, but it was definitely not as I expected. Food was Ok.
The food was okay, not great. The staff were excellent!
Service was terrible. Salad and entree arrived together. Pizza was soggy. Caesar’s salad had terrible dressing. Overall I would never go back.
Always a wonderful experience and the food was excellent as usual. Service was fine if not quite up to previous visits.
Excellent, great service , food was outstanding! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone going to the city
This was a special event hosted by Stella's Executive Chef. Three course meal fairly moderately priced, more than worth it. The food and service was great.
I have been here many times and always have a great meal and great service. Don't overlook because its inside Macy's.
Great food. Wasn't too busy getting in and overall was fast. The 6 floor journey was worth it.
We enjoyed the Spring Primavera pre-fixe menu. Every bite was delicious! Service was a slow start but improved over the course of the meal. View is always beautiful at this restaurant. A gem in an unusual place, do try when you are at Macys!
Came for the Spring Primavera Dinner event, and it was fabulous. The dishes to share were beautiful, fresh, delicious - almost a meal in itself. Maybe my favorite part of the meal, though the lamb I had was succulent (more a braised square of meat) and flavorful too. I love this chef and his cooking! Wish they had offered a wine paring with the courses, which they did in past events. Food and happy hour here always good - but their occasional special dining events I think, take you on a short food journey and let's you see the chef shine.
I love eating at Stella 34. The pizza is great.
It’s a nice get away from hectic shopping.
