Although, server did not tell us his name he was really good. The food was delicious
What happened to the poutine!!! It’s gone. Sigh :-(
We wanted to try the Seattle restaurant week menu as it was the last day. We were seated promptly and placed our order. We were waiting quite a while for the main course when items identical to ours were delivered to the table next door. We had been seated long before that table. Needless to say, I think they gave our food to them. We commented to our server that we had been waiting quite a while and possibly could our food have been given to the wrong table? She said that they ordered the exact same things and thought ours would be out momentarily, which it was. All in all it was 40 minutes from when we sat down. Not exactly stellar turnaround for a lunch for folks with an hour lunch break. The food was good though and the server comped some of the fee.
Don't know what happened to the seafood, but the halibut was watery and flavorless as though thawed and the Char special was worse. Past experience was good but will not plan to return.
The menu was limited in regards to providing a variety of fresh grilled fish dishes .
So no Steelhead fish even it is their name!
20% tip added without providing that level of service.
The simple grilled halibut and roasted veggies are AMAZING!
The food was excellent. The staff was friendly and professional.
This is a great place to eat. Great service and nice array of food options on the menu.
Interesting menu, unfortunately lacking taste. Some items were delicious, but most of what I had was disappointing and flavorless. I had the crab and shrimp tator tots as well as a crab cake and a cup of clam chowder. The crab dishes were tasteless and really need some TLC. The chowder was ok, but nothing special. My friends truffled new potatoes were quite tasty, but for the most part the dishes were meh.
In town for a conference and the food was very good.
Great experience for my out of town guests. Chef Anthony killed it in the kitchen. Thank you!!!!
We dined here the last night in Seattle before heading to the penninsula and were very pleased with the meal we had. We were very fond of the seat we sat at right in front of the kitchen where all the action is. We started off with an order of the warm sourdough bread..so good, we then split the fried chicken with the spinach...stellar dish. added a side of baked mac and it was a done deal. Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert. But i thoroughly enjoyed the vibe and the food here.
The food was great! Happy hour menu was delicious!
The service great and nice views of the Market. The food was so good- we each shared a different fish dish- we asked for a cooking class.
We went to steelhead with a large group from work. We found the service to be impressive, the interactions with the staff very positive and the food was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This used to be a favorite spot, but this trip was disappointing. Went for brunch Sunday late morning. Not enough breakfast options. Also very sad to see they don't have poutine anymore as it used to be the best in town. Now they call it "Fries & Gravy" with no cheese curds. Big bummer. The restaurant was busy but not packed, but there were long gaps between visits from our server who was not very personable. All in all underwhelming but expensive. Guess they are catering to the tourist crowd. I doubt we locals will be back.
Good but over priced
Seahawks pre-game lunch. We’re from out of town.
Excellent food. Service a little spotty. Will continue going frequently.
We reserved a table for 12 people and we're able to make the reservation through OpenTable which was nice. Restaurant was scenic in a nice location. Everyone enjoyed the food.
Our food was excellent. Service fell off a bit after receiving our entrees; though the server was very helpful and friendly. We were seated right away and enjoyed out time at Steelhead, where we frequently go to lunch.
Despite the system crash they were incredibly friendly and made sure our experience was a great one
We got appetizers, entrees, and desserts and the level of quality was consistent. Food was great!
We were visiting Seattle and Steelhead was recommended as an excellent place for seafood. Absolutely true. I had the king salmon and it was worth every cent, perfectly prepared, moist and mild. We also had a clam chowder that was very good although it had too much pepper for my taste (I’m extremely sensitive to pepper; it wouldn’t bother most people). We arrived about 30 minutes early and expected to wait in the bar, but they got us right in. The wait staff was attentive without hovering. We loved it.
Great location with great food and drinks!
Had a wonderful outdoor table - food was great
We had 8 people and everyone was happy with the available menu choices and all the food was excellent. Great energy and location.
Good location, nice limited views, excellent fish dishes (the salmon, trout, and halibut are always done perfectly).
Beautiful restaurant with very good service. Noise level & ambiance excellent. Food ok....priced too high.
Amazing food (we had the pork chops, rockfish tacos and collard greens) and service! It was my fifth time or so back over the last few years and my partner's first - he loved it and we'll return again soon! The flourless chocolate brownie is one of the best desserts we've EVER had, and why I always come back :)
Everything was delicious!
Food was ok-clam chowder which I was looking forward to was a bit too spicy and the calamari way overbreaded. We only had appetizers
Everything was perfect. Food, service, wine. .....all were perfect. James, our waiter, did not rush us. He let us catch up with relatives we had not seen in years and waited until we were truly ready to look at the menu after we ordered appetizers. All our meals were wonderful and so were the desserts. Kevin Davis and his staff are superior in every way
We have been customers from opening day and it has been consistently good from day one! Service is always helpful, courteous and efficient; ambience is lively; food is generally good. Cioppino last visit was superb! The bar is fun! We have recommended Steelhead Diner to friends and they have not been steered wrong!
Food was decent. Location central. Service was non-existent. Automatic service charge
3rd time at this restaurant upon our visit to Seattle. Service was seriously slacking and host did not even acknowledge us for 5-10 minutes. Waitress was more interested in getting us to leave vs. giving us the opportunity to enjoy the great food. Food was top notch, however for us given 2/3 of the experience is first impression we will not revisit given so many other options.
We visit about 2 to 3 times a year and the quality of food and service is always fabulous!
Great food, great view
Fun seats for the THATH free concert!! Thank you!
Great Sattle experience
