The food was very good. However, the service was lacking - very slow, did not have staple items in inventory (e.g. strawberry or mango margarita mix). The place appears to be mismanaged.

Great experience. Our waitress was awesome and the manager checked in on us to make sure everything was going well. We knew they were short staffed but they made sure we got drinks and appetizers shortly after being seated that kept us busy after our orders were placed. We didn’t even have to ask for more drinks because the waitress saw they were close to empty and brought refills over. Best steel cactus location I’ve been to out of the three around my area.

Went around 12 o'clock for lunch with a party of about 8 people. We made a reservation with Open Table, so our table was ready as soon as we got there. The restaurant filled in pretty quickly after we got there. It took them a while to get our food out, but that was expected with our big party. The food was great and the servers were very friendly! I will definitely be going back sometime soon!

Ordered the Mexican Cobb Salad with chicken. Not much Chicken. My husband ordered Chicken Fajitas. Not much chicken on his either. Wait staff was very unorganized and forgot several we ordered. Finally got items when we were almost finished eating. We did enjoy the Dip Trio appetizer. We waited so long for a restaurant to go into this space in Southpointe. Thought we'd give it a try but were disappointed.

The good: the waiter we had, Kyle, was very personable, kind and attentive. The atmosphere is nice. Big open windows on a beautiful night. Very enjoyable to sit there and watch people and cars go by. Pinto beans were good. The not as good: Honestly, the food is pretty bland. I had the chorizo tacos and it didn’t have the spices you expect. The so called slaw was a tiny bit of purple cabbage, supposedly pickled I suppose, but it didn’t add flavor. The avocado creme was also tasteless. I think they put the chipotle sauce on it, which I didn’t ask for, but it was the only thing I tasted. Pinto beans, actually were good, as noted above. Street corn, a tiny bowl of corn, not on the cob as I had come to think of street corn, wasn’t bad. Ordered the blood orange margarita. Pretty tasty, but hardly any alcohol in it. Ordered regular margarita to see if it was better....it was not. Tasted like it came from a mix, or prepared bottle, again, little alcohol. They are definitely making a killing on those mixed drinks. My companion had chicken tacos, and the feedback was the same....not much flavor, not worth making the trip. Was hoping for a new place to eat in the area, but I will go back to my tried and true Mexican place up the street, Los Chiludos.

Went for my son’s Cinco de Mayo Birthday celebration on Saturday at this place... was great! Just too bad it was raining.... would have loved to be at the outside bar!! Our party of eight enjoyed the atmosphere and would surely go again.. Waitress was very attentive and sweet, and asked the band to play Happy Birthday for my son and his friend who celebrated a birthday a few days before... thank u making this day special for us!!

I ordered a fajita burrito There was one tiny piece of chicken, three very small pieces of green pepper, no cheese and it was filled with white rice. It came with no type of melted cheese Or sauce on burrito. It was a very dry tasteless burrito. None of us will return to this restaurant

It's a very cute place, and the service was fairly good. Unfortunately the food was not that great. The queso dip was bland. I ordered the carnitas burrito, in which the actual meat was very scarce (mostly rice and some beans). My husband ordered tacos, but the shells were extremely hard, there was barely any meat, and he was left still hungry, as the tacos were very tiny. We weren't impressed, sadly. We wanted to like this place, but I don't think we'll be back any time soon.

All of the wait staff were awesome and Rich the bartender was exceptional. The food was decent. Arrange for a surprise party for a 17-year-old girl with 10 of her close girlfriends. I wife and I and her mother sat at the bar while they sat in a large table and enjoyed themselves. Was really surprised by the ambience and when I walked in and sat down at the bar I was thinking this would be a great place to make a regular hunt for happy hour and to meet friends for meals. Steel cactus fell short, very short, on the quality of their margaritas. They certainly weren’t made with fresh ingredients and they were the week is margaritas I’ve ever had. I had two in the regular talk glass and was dissapointed. I had a third and requested a short cocktail glass and still it it was weak. Not a good value whatsoever. Resorted to a beer, finish the birthday party we were having and bolted

They were out of quite a few things such as Cabernet wine which is a very popular wine. The merlot she served me was not very good. They were out of some food items also and just opened. She said they were short handed so hopefully once they get more people to work it will be better. Overall just an ok experience. When opening a new restaurant i was hoping for a great experience
