Always outstanding cocktails. Wine, Food and Service
The BEST lemon cheesecake I’ve ever had; amazing chicken and mashed potatoes. Great experience
Some of the best steaks we’ve had. We visited on our honeymoon and the owner gave us each a complimentary glass of champagne. Be sure to try the chocolate pecan pie if you go - excellent!
My New York strip was a bit tough. And there was a fly constant landing on my plate. Our server was very nice and attentive. I think Longhorn steak house has a better menu, quality of meat and flavor .
A 40 dollar NY strip, was marginal and I got about five pieces of small broccoli.
They are way overpriced for there steaks.
My wife had the chicken which was good.
We requested outdoor seating, but the front desk person forgot to tell our waiter that we were out there. Once that issue was resolved, all the rest of the evening was great.
We arrived and because of the disparity between inside/outside temperature we moved tables 2 time, that was our fault. The waitress was phenomenal to start. She knew the menu backwards and forwards and passionately described the entire food choices available , good for her, but after the initial greetings and order of our food, it went from bad to worse.
Because of staff shortages the service was non existent, medium rare was served raw. The busboy never refilled water, the food was sent back and took the initial settings with it, we asked the busboy to bring new settings he acknowledged us, but never returned. The food was sent back to be recooked while we noodled with our veggies. I almost asked for check when the food reappeared perfectly cooked, but the damage and flow of the evening were disastrous, the dining experience we were looking for was non existent and was just a comedy of errors but we persevered.
Mackenzie and all staff really helped make our Fourth of July memorable. The chef was excellent! What more could we ask for...great food, excellent service, and a Fourth to remember! Thank you all at Steakhouse89!
Great innovative cocktails and the food was wonderful. Ask about their Tequila Cart.
We were seated right away and ate out on their patio. The server was very friendly and even made suggestions about the area since we had never been to Sedona. The meatballs were awesome and very large portion. The shrimp over a corn mixture was amazing the our Steak was cooked perfectly.
The food and service were both great. I loved the view.
Pleasant experience and waitress was very polite. Would definitely go back and recommend it to others.
Service was generally slow. Our waitress was very nice - don't think it was all her fault.
Busboys were 'non-existent'. In an hour - we never had our water glasses refilled.
Wine steward brought us wine - we hadn't ordered our wine yet.
Ordered coffee with my dessert. It was cold. Waitress brought another hot cup.
Later, asked for a refill on my coffee. It was cold. Waitress had to bring another.
Maybe it was just that night? We will give you another chance if we come back to Sedona.
Our waiter was very good. The food hit the spot. The ambiance was not really there since the room was large and we were the only ones in there.
We celebrated our anniversary here (dinner for two). At first, we wanted outside seating but another group was seated next to us. They were too loud for our liking. So, we asked to sit inside. The hosted accommodated us and we sat in a quieter part of the restaurant. The server was busy and we waited awhile for everything (drinks, dinner, dessert, & check). We had to wave sometime down twice. The steak was delicious and raspberry cheesecake. I feel like the service should’ve been better for the price we paid. I’ve had better service at a low end restaurant.
My wife and I ordered hamburgers, that most elusive of dishes to prepare properly. We both requested medium, and both were overcooked and chewy. One of our group ordered steak and it was also overcooked. Shrimp appetizer was tasty. A Steakhouse that can’t cook meat to order is not a Steakhouse.
Best tasting steak I have ever had! Food was perfectly seasoned and delicious!
The 6 inch fillet was cooked perfectly melted in your mouth and the mashed potatoes excellent
Great service!! Food was great.
They had piano music and great food. Looks like a great bar too.
Chicken on the menu says “chicken breast”. Two of us ordered it and asked if it’s boneless and flattened. We were told yes and when it came we each had 2 thighs. We told the server and he was confused as if it was our fault. They told us that it was breast. With thigh bones sticking out? The owner made his rounds and noticed the women had no food but the men were eating steaks and never asked so i told him the issue. He said “shots on me“ and we never saw him again. We should have been compensated somehow because it cost much more to order a filet in place of the chicken we wanted. Untrained staff, pricy for what you get.
The host wasn't wearing a mask, nor were any of the servers. Our server took our order, and 30 minutes later I had to ask about our drinks. She then came out to retake our order as she had lost it.
To begin the server started to pick up our happy hr Menus and said I don’t know why they have these to you. We arrived early for our 8 pm reservation, 6:40, with 20 minutes left as the host informed us. The server replied oh I don’t know what time it is since this covid closing. When she delivered our drinks she spilled my daughters cocktail all over her, very apologetic and we had to move us to another table because ours and my daughter were saturated. We were on the outside patio, a glass was dropped by a server at the table behind us. when our entrée was delivered my daughters steak and mashed potatoes were slid way to the edge of the plate, some potato over the edge. When the young server clumsily set the 3 plates down she said “the kitchen is way too hot”. Another table behind was served their food which actually slid off the plate and the plate was dropped to the ground. When the bill came I told the server that I had expected that my daughters drink not be charged, and she said well I did bring her another one. I said yes but it spilled all over her dress. She seemed a bit put out, but returned with a new check and said I’m sorry I’m not sure why I didn’t think about that, my thought she never brought it to a managers attention and was told to make things right. I notified on open table that we were celebrating a birthday. It was never acknowledged even when I brought it to the attention of the server when she asked if we were celebrating as we were seated. This restaurant was clearly not ready to open, no face covering were worn and plates were picked up without gloves. We went to Sedona for a birthday and to test restaurants for a wedding rehearsal venue. It will be some time before we return, if ever, to Steakhouse89.
The rack of lamb was the greatest! The food was very tasty and the staff awesome!
The food and ambience were mediocre - we had a view of table filled with extra condiments and hand sanitizer. We were charged $35 for a beluga martini and then to add insult to injury an extra $2 because the drink was served up. I dine out all over US and the world and have never been so ridiculously over charged. The waitress was apologetic but we didn’t buy her explanation that the vodka cost over $300 a bottle as we purchase this vodka regularly for less than $50 a bottle. Manager never came over to address either. So many better places to dine in Sedona - don’t go to this place!
The ribeye steak was delicious as was the broccolini but the mashed potatoes were less than desirable.
Great friendly attentive service!
The quality of food did not compare to the price. I’ve never ate a worse steak in my life and I have been to many steak joints. We got the prime rib and a ribeye both had a weird chemical after taste. I’ve had a better steak at Applebee’s than this place.
Service was not that great. Covid may have still been the problem.
Delicious steaks, salads, sides. Amazing service. Beautiful views and impeccable staff with protocols in place for covid. Impossible to choose which steaks are better.
The food was amazing the service was spot on and cozy. Loved it so much we went back the next night. Definitely will eat there next time we are in town.
This place need to get it together !! We were seated promptly but no one seemed to know who our server was. When we finally did get service (Ashley) she was very nice but you could tell she was beyond busy.
Grasshopper fell on girlfriend. Come out of nowhere!
Otherwise very good.
The spinach salad was excellent. loved all the toppings. Spit it with my wife and they were very generous. I had the ribeye stake and it was tender and cooked perfectly (medium rare). The flavor from the grill was nice. Next time time I want to try the flat iron steak.
We had dinner on the patio and it was perfect. The happy hour menu was great! We had the meatballs, the artichoke dip, the flat bread, and deviled eggs. Everything was very yummy. The cocktails were great too. The dessert selection was rather limited, but it didn't matter since we were full. The restaurant is nice, the piano player is good, and the service was good. We would love to go back again. FYI - they have shuttle service if you intend to sample multiple cocktails. :)
To be honest, for the price, I expected more. For the prices being charged for apps and entrees throw a bud some free bread or something at least.
From the time we walked in to the time we left, I never felt welcome. It was our wedding anniversary dinner, I clearly let them know ahead of time, but the service was terrible and the steak I was served was fatty and thin cut. I know we are all recovering from the shutdown, but the service here was the worst!
It was nice to be able to go out and eat again. The ribeye my boyfriend and I ordered was large and very good. I also loved the mashed potatoes that came with it.
STeakhouse has always been a favorite of ours for some time, great food, service is excellant, good drinks and wines. Ambiance is over the top. Great outdoor patio. Try it soon. You will not regret it
Great food. Nice service. Would like to have substituted some things but told not able to.
No complaints. Nice time.
