The restaurant was short staffed. Apparently 5 staffers quit , the bartender couldn’t make a drink to save his life. Sat at the bar for over 15 minutes before being attended to. The hostess was friendly and great. A group of over 20 people had obviously drank too much and were shout or screaming over each other. I observed 3 tables of customers just get up and leave. The food was good and served in a timely manner. Not a good experience
Second time there and really like the place, but they seem to have a different opinion on what social distancing is. The place was paced and they did accommodate our request to be reseated, but I’m not ready to stop distancing.
Great food and cocktails. The service (Cindy) is flawless.
We were comfortably seated in a cozy booth in the fireplace room. The staff was very pleasant. Our waiter was personable and gave us just the right amount of attention. Our meals were very good. I had the petite prime rib and my husband had the fillet. They only serve 6oz. He would have liked 8oz! Our favorite of the evening was the live music, Gina Machovina. We left with a couple of her cds! We will return.
Nice place, great food and it has live kusic
We attended the Steakhouse or our wedding anniversary. We had a drink in the bar while awaiting our table seating and the bar was very pleasant. Our table by the fireplace was very nice! The live music was a bit loud and made it hard to hear our waitress and each other.
As for the food, my wife's steak came out the way she ordered it, however, the steak, the potatoes and vegetables (overcooked broccoli and two undercooked vegies she couldn't identify) were room temperature at best. I ordered lamb shank and had the same problem with the temp of the food.
We were disappointed.
Cindy was a wonderful waitress.
Dieter was the BEST !!!!!
Nice and comfortable with a great staff. For a steak house they really did not have a lot
of choices for steak. They were out of the bone in rib eye so I went with a boneless one and it was very thin . The Brussel sprouts were delicious.
It was one of the best steak meals that we’ve ever had. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and personable. The next time we’re in Sedona, Steakhouse 89 will be on the list of must do’s! Thank you so for an excellent evening.
We love and highly recommend this restaurant! We went there the day before Valentines. Service was great and the food and drinks were delicious. Can’t wait to be back to Sedona and visit 89 steakhouse restaurant again!
This was our first time in Sedona and this dinner really made the trip.
Great food, perfect to celebrate our anniversary! Service was amazing and our food came super quickly. No issues at all, highly recommend this place :)
We selected this restaurant to celebrate my birthday while visiting Sedona. The hostess said happy birthday, but there was otherwise no mention of the celebration. We had an 8:30 reservation, the sever took a little bit to come to the table, no big deal, except that we very much felt that we were being rushed out (and we ordered immediately the first time the server came to the table-no appetizer). Perhaps my disappointment stems from my high expectations based on reviews and prices, but we purchased expensive steaks and were never able to get steak knives because they were out. Re ambiance, the hanging light at our table was uncomfortably bright and the booth was very uncomfortable. I will say the food itself was very good, but I had higher hopes for my birthday celebration.
Best carrots I’ve ever eaten. Who knew? Everything was great. Loved it.
The drinks, appetizer, entree and desert were presented beautifully and were delectable, as tasty and satisying as they were a pleasure to look at. I am very hard to please. It is a rarity to find a restaurant that can make a dish as well as I can myself (I am told) but here is a place I will return to again and again. A big Thank You to all the frontline heroes who make us feel like celebrating life again! You made me feel right at home, particularly my hostess, Miss Cindy who has a warmth and congeniality that makes each guest feel most welcome. Prosperity and good health to you. See you next time!
Dodd did not live up to expectations. Quality of beef needs to be improved. Service was good.
My boyfriend and I booked a reservation here for an early Valentine's Day celebration and we loved it! It was wonderful service and exceptional food without being too stuffy. The live music was amazing (especially after going without it for so long). We had the ribeye steak and it was absolutely amazing, as were the buttery mashed potatoes. I liked his steak a bit better than my shrimp scampi, but both were still very tasty! Also would recommend the charcuterie board!
Everything was excellent! We all really enjoyed our orders and our waitress was great! Will definitely return next time we are in Sedona!
Live music, clean, nice bar, reservations recommended, nice staff.
Awesome service, food & cleanliness. Would I go back- yes
Best Double Cut Lamb Chops He’s ever had! Made for a Great Birthday dinner!
I don’t usually care for lamb but I would have ordered and eaten these. Prime rib w/ seasonal vegetables was also very good..
Loved the Queens Bee crafted drink with kombucha. Our server Cindy was awesome & thoroughly in formed us about food and drinks making great suggestions.
For full disclosure - we sat close to outside and did see 1 “uninvited guest” crawling by but, it would’t stop us from going back.
The petit fillet was cooked to perfection. The shrimp cocktail were some of the largest prawns I’ve ever seen! The only suggestion would be to stay away from the cheesecake. The texture was not great.
Brandon was awesome.
Really good food and a great atmosphere. Service was good.
Craig was fabulous. The manager touched our table. Great experience.
The food itself was very good once it finally showed up. The service, however, left a lot to be desired. We waited about 10 minutes before the waitress took our drink order, which in retrospect was an omen. After we ordered our food, it was around 45 minutes before we received it...this was after the four people at next table over, who were seated after us and ordered after us, had received their meals AND finished eating. We had two steaks, a seared tuna, and a kids pasta, so nothing off menu or difficult to prepare. The waitress was apologetic but never explained the delay other than blaming the kitchen. Food was good, but I wouldn’t recommend it. The restaurant was not all that crowded, which makes it even harder to explain.
Great food, service and Atmosphere! Will be back for sure!
It was ok. The ambient and people were great but the food is overpriced with avg tastes. Maybe it was just my chicken that was overcooked and dry, but no hot towels, satin napkins, pepper. I get it. It's Sedona
We booked a table outside, but seated inside. Service was slow, which the waitress acknowledged. Some of our food was cold (mac & cheese). This restaurant positions itself as upscale, but really do not operate as such. Did not meet my expectations as an upscale restaurant. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and this didn't hit the mark for me. This really should be downgraded to a casual restaurant.
Owner walking around without a mask on. Food was below average, banquet style and cost about $100 per person.
I thought that the food was good. My husband, however, is more of the restaurant mafia sort who is never happy with his food. My steak was cooked how I like it ( rare) and it came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. He felt that his was not cooked correctly. Fortunately I fill out any reviews. :)
Our server Cindy was great. Attentive and informative. She provided insight into our selections and made great wine selections.
When we're in Sedona we always come here to celebrate...last time was anniversary, this time birthday. Great place!
Our burgers were really good once they got them right!
Food was amazing! Drinks were a little pricey but yummy! Lamb Chops and Prime Rib highly recommended! Brussels sprouts too! Shannon was an excellent server...very attentive!!
Great staff with superb service. Steve the manager is great as is Gabriel the bartender. Everything was at the quality you would expect.
Had a regular and bone in Ribeye. Both were far too this for my liking and both were medium + vs medium rare. With thick steaks that is ok but with this cut causes steak to be tough. Prices for steak quality was overpriced. Also insulting to spend $175 for dinner and be charged $4.00 for bread. Restaurant was ok for a tourist town but would never survive in a big city.
I cook many different things at home. So, I was hoping for something different that I don't make at home. I wanted the halibut. The waiter wasn't sure they had it, but he never did come back and tell me one way or another. My second choice was the rack of lamb, which was very fatty. Served with old broccolini and "risotto." Their risotto was diced potatoes, carrots and mushrooms. AWFUL! The waiter tried to tell me about risotto and that there are different kinds. No arborio rice!! I asked about substituting for another side (when I ordered), but was told they would charge $5 to substitute. Really?? So I ate around the fat on the lamb. Didn't eat the veggies and "risotto." Wasn't offered anything else, even though I complained as soon as my plate was set in front of me. I should have sent the whole thing back. Needless to say, we won't be back. Too many restaurants in Sedona. Also, would like to mention the bar. Many people in there to listen to the singer. Tables set close together and no masks! Dancing and having a great time. Hope they all don't end up in the hospital!
We visit town periodically woth this our first to this establishment. Service was a bit slow, food was good (average) for cost. Truth be told will not go out of our way for a second visit.
Delicious Cocktails Salad, Steak and sides. Enjoyed every bite!
