To many flies in the restaurant
Great restaurant with all the things I love: steak and whiskey. Just a note, they did say the meat is grass fed but I don't think it was. Or maybe it is grass fed but not grass finished.
Great little joint, pretty casual setting. People at the bar were annoying (kept turning around adn staring at my wife.. but not really the establishments problem.) Overall enjoyed the steak and the lobster was good. The scallops were great as well.
Excellent whiskey, ambiance, service and apps. I was expecting more from my steak based on the price. Next time I’d try the salmon or lobster. It’s pricey so nice for a real special occasion.
Excellent service. Amazing food. Next time we go will be for appetizers and drinks. Absolutely recommend!!!
The food and the service are always excellent. We visit often, and always leave happy.
Great food, drinks, and service!
Started with oysters and scallops for appetizers. Very tasty but kinda expensive - the oysters were teeny tiny for $3 each and the scallops were $18 for 3 fairly small scallops.
We then shared a wedge salad which was great.
NY steak for hubby was perfect. Sea Bass for me was awesome!
Had a couple craft cocktails which were good... and very strong so we def left with a little buzz.
Service was great and It has a cool upscale, casual vibe. Place is much smaller than expected. Overall great experience - just a little pricier than anticipated.
Fantastic experience! Delicious Food and Terrific Service. Can't wait to go back.
Nicely designed restaurant with an extensive bourbon and scotch list. Service was excellent and food was great if it wasn’t for the fillet-mignon being over cooked and even though at rsvp we identified an anniversary, it was never acknowledged by the host or shared with the staff.
It was horrible salad overdressed steak overdone and dessert burnt would never go back!!!!
Went for a birthday and interested in dinela menu. Found out that everyone at the table had to opt in which doesn’t really make sense except to convince people not to participate. Ordered off the regular menu and had steaks and lobsters. One of the steaks was over cooked, both were not very flavorful (ribeyes), and the lobsters were very chewy. Absolutely not the level it should be for price point. Server didn’t ask us how things were not that anything would’ve been improved. One of our party is a GM of a restaurant and was completely shocked at the whole experience.
Great whiskey selection and the steak is good. Parking is a nightmare though. And it is a small place with few seating. Happy hour menu is pretty good.
We had a wonderful time and were seated immediately. The food, drinks and service were outstanding!
Amazing Whisky selection... will return again and have already recommended the restaurant to a coworker and she loved it!
Nathalie & William
Really cute place. Service was great! Such a unique waitress, loved her. She fit in with the vibes. Liked that it is a smaller place. OMG. the food! We had a group of 6, we all thought our steak wasn't that exciting. Really good, just not exciting. BUT the dessert (bread pudding), the apps (steak tartare, waffle fries, meatballs), the drinks (wine, mule, old fashioned, manhattan, beers), and the BREAD. OMG. And the house wines were great!
This was our first time dining at Steak & Whiskey. It has a cool but relaxed vibe to it. We are not steak or whiskey fans but they have other delicious options on the menu. My husband had the salmon which he loved. I had the wedge salad which was really delicious. Also ordered the sea bass which was beautifully presented, but was very bland unfortunately. Overall we enjoyed this restaurant and look forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu.
Maybe it was because it was Dine LA, but the food took almost an hour to come out. (Just the appetizers). The filet was not tender and one dish was cold. I’m hoping it was a Dine LA fluke and that our next trip will be much better.
Grant was awesome and overall a great experience. I would go back for sure
A little expensive but I return
Delicious food and great whiskey selection. Cool atmosphere and great service!
We had an incredible experience from tasting rare and unique whisky to enjoying a delicious, filling meal all in a fun environment. Great place, we'll absolutely be back!
Finally a place in South Bay that cooks your steak the way you order it.
Service by Andrew was great. Friendly service and very knowledgeable about the menu.
The ambiance was quiet, warm and welcoming.
Great food and service.
We are looking forward to going there again! The wait staff was efficient and friendly. The selection good and the food great! The rolls with honey butter, yummy!!!
So great! We loved it the 1st time we went and returned and it was just as good!
Love this place. This was our second time there and I can't wait to go back. Fun, upscale, great cocktails, great staff, great energy.
Steak was underwhelming, lobster was okay. Weak per glass wine list and the service was subpar.
Everything I ordered was exceptional. The restaurant offers a wonderful ambiance, great for really any occasion.
We went here for a birthday dinner. Staff in general seems very new and junior. Our waiter didn’t know the menu and didn’t know what liquor the bar carried and he didn’t know the wine list or how to recommend a wine. The waiter was also attentive and slow. The manager seemed short tempered and needed to assist on several occasions. We ordered medium rare steaks that were rare throughout. Overall a mediocre dinner that didn’t justify the price.
Food was good and tasty. Service was also good. Corkage @ $25 is on the higher side given that Zane’s across the street has no corkage fee. Given the price of wines on the wine list though, corkage is the better option if you bring something you like. Only other issue was the Brussels sprouts. I have seen the description crispy shaved before and still had more than just leaves of Brussels sprouts. Here there were only leaves and no substance- we probably should have asked before ordering, so not a slam on the restaurant- just don’t expect much other than leaves if you order Brussels sprouts.
Food was great! Service was spectacular. I didn't get that buyer's remorse feeling when I left. I felt I got what I paid for which was an awesome anniversary experience.
The place is super cool!!!! The food was incredible. Fantastic steak! A selection of whiskey almost too large to pick from. The desert was incredible. Next time we’re in the area will for sure be back.
Food it is a place that I would choose for every special occasion & celebration.
Ordered a ribeye snd Outback had better steaks. The Oso-buck was average and the lobster mac and cheese was tasteless. I sled for horseradish and whatever they served me had to be old. No taste at all. When I complained they took it back kicked it with sour cream and thought that I would bit notice. Overall a horrible experience for $180. You will enjoy the sizzler if you have a voice between this and a cheap steakhouse.
This is one of my favorite places, and it never disappoints. However this time it seems that the whole place has become even more popular than it was when it was my favorite place several years back. Now it's noisier that I would like when I'm spending that much moola.
Poor service. Had to ask about appetizers twice and a glass of wine
Had a wonderful evening there this past week. Great service, pleasantly upmarket but relaxed surroundings, and good food. Plus, plenty of whiskies to savor :) Highly recommended.
Service was very slow. Food did not come out cooked as requested.
