Each cut of meat has been hand-selected from a single-source herd of cattle to give you the highest quality meat available. Smoked Pork Meatballs, S&W Dry Aged Burger, as well as a selection of quality steaks.

Bar tender was amazing my new favorite place for steak and whiskey.
It was great idea to go here to celebrate Father’s Day with my family. All the steak meals were delicious and after a second attempt…I enjoyed my halibut meal. The tiramisu was also delicious…and a little different than other tiramisu desserts I have eaten in the past. We will definitely be back…😊
Great service and loved the outdoor seating with a view of the pier. Food was delicious - don't skip the bread pudding!
I don’t eat steak often but when I do I have high expectations! The ribeye I got at Steak & Whiskey checked all of the boxes. It was amazing as was the french fries & bread pudding for dessert.
The onion rings are incredible. I had duck confit with gnocchi, which were very tasty. My friend had the burger and thought it was okay. She didn’t have it with the egg, though. The key lime pie is rustic and tasty.
Burrata salad excellent. Haddock/risotto. Fish overcooked and risotto was like having tomato soup with rice. Great service from waitress

Quality was average
This is one of my favorite steak restaurants in Hermosa Beach. All the food on the menu is delicious. The selection of whiskeys is excellent and bartenders knowledgeable.
Clarke was nice but clearly they were under staffed. We had a reservation and still waited 30 mins to sit down. Then once we sat we had to request a server to wait on us after waiting 15 more minutes. They didn’t offer anything complimentary and just blamed COVID.
Steak was grey twice and was not a good cut of meat. I had to send it back the first time for being over cooked. The fish was over salted and all the sides were cold. The server was very nice but I would highly suggest staying away until they get their act together as it was better before COVID.
Great food and drinks. Not cheap, but well worth it
We ate outside. Food was good. Service was terrible. I don’t know if the wait staff was new after pandemic or not. We waited to be served. Waited for follow ups. Never got coffee with desert. No apology ever. We had hoped for better given the prices.
Dinner was great, the food was hot and fresh and we didn’t wait long. Clark the bartender was amazing!!! He was so welcoming and attentive. He made great suggestions and the drinks were amazing!!!

All of the dishes were delicious, except for the apple pie dessert. The crust was soggy and the filling lacked flavor. But the rest of the meal was outstanding. Highly recommended this restaurant.

We just did drinks and appetizer, so I can’t speak to the entrees... but coming from two vegetarians who have avoided a place with “steak” in the title, this place ended up being really awesome!

Service was exceptional, Clarke was on point, anticipated our needs and didn’t have to ask for anything including drink refills. Food was also exceptional, was hard to just pick one starter and side dish. Steak quality rivaled Ruth’s Chris. Definitely coming back!

I’d been for dinner previously and it was one of the Top 10 meals of my life with truly fantastic service! I was so excited for brunch but it was quite the opposite. My food was cold, steak was dry (ordered Medium), there were only 2 other parties dining and our mimosas took almost 30 minutes and we weren’t greeted at our table for a solid 15 minutes after we sat. In the middle of this, our sever ran across the street to Subway and nobody stepped in for her.
Over 300 Whiskeys and great food. Loved that it was off the beach and had a bunch of whiskey flight options.

Went for Mother's Day. Took 30 minutes for a waiter to ask us if we want drinks. Not sure why. Tried waving down every staff member and was ignored. Once we started being waited on, he was good. The food was 10/10 and the beer and whiskey was 10/10. Hopefully better service next time and it will be a 5 star. Prices were reasonable for the quality. Will return :)
We were a party of four: a 90 yo woman, a couple in their 60s, and a 17 yo boy. Sat outside. Service was excellent. The other three had steaks, and liked them very much. I had duck. The duck tasted like it had been frozen for a year or two, not just recently, and certainly was not fresh. Further, it was cooked poorly, so the skin was fatty (as is often the case) but not seared or browned at all (which was unfortunate). Worse, the meat of the duck leg was dry and stringy (perhaps due to having dried out during such protracted freezing). The broccoli was underdone -- better than overdone, true -- but still not wonderful. Finally, the gnocchi was a total failure: both too oily and too salty. One steak-eater got fries, and they, too, were far too salty. The spinach dip also was far too salty. All four agreed the fries and the spinach dip were far too salty; only one other person tried my gnocchi, and agreed it was dismal and too salty. The service was great, but could not make up for the food.
It took 1 hour to get our food. While the staff was friendly, they were understaffed for Mother's Day. They ran out of Prosecco. The food quality and presentation was average for how it was described on the menu and how it was priced. There was not enough shading for outside seating. Would not recommend visiting unless it is only for the whiskey.
Great food but service was lacking this time. Waitress was sassy with answers and lacked information about menu drink items and pricing.
Came for the steak. Stayed for the whisky. Truly impressed by the service and the cocktails. It had been a couple of years since we'd been there, but we moved to Hermosa recently and decided to try it again. And after trying all the new steakhouses in the South Bay, S&W is a true stand out. We'll be back, regularly. Shout out to staff too. The quality of their service was only exceeded by the excellence of the cocktails. The whole team was great. See you again soon.
We were missing the cool classic jazz I remember from the early days. But still all good.

In keeping with the long tradition of steak and whiskey not giving a damn about its customers, we froze while eating outside, since there were no tables available inside. Three chintzy heaters were trying their best to cover 20 tables and failing badly. We all stood around the heaters trying to get warm as did a family at another table. Can we move the heater? "No sorry" they said. Can we move the table? "No sorry." Should you eat at steak and whiskey? No sorry.
Hostess and host are super rude. They don't smile or say hello. Poor phone etiquette as well. Definitely not trained in hospitality what so ever. Server was great. Food was great. Food came out very very slow.
Fish dishes are not good.
