When we sat down we waited over 15 min and still no waiter came over to take our orders until I got up and got one. Place was a bit loud and hard to hear. The food was pretty good except the scallops were undercooked a little. Overall visit 6.5/10.
Party of 7. We had a lovely brunch with short ribs Benedict, fish tacos, Caesars salad, haddock dinner, chowder, and pannini. Everyone enjoyed their meal, there were no leftovers! The portions were good sized. The atmosphere is spacious.
Food was lukewarm at best...
Just not great and way over priced for quality! Great atmosphere and service but food was 👎
We enjoy Station 8. Service is alway exceptional as is the food. Only downside is that it can be too loud.
Cozy ambiance with the exposed beams, long bar and friendly, accommodating waitstaff. Also loved the acapella gentlemen who sang Wednesday night!
So appreciative of the restaurant being so accommodating about a diner’s food allergy!
Went here for the first time on New Years eve. Food was good but very chaotic. Will try again in the future. Lots of good menu choices with extensive wine, beer and drink list. Was very loud with a band in the bar area (to be expected on New Years).
Great night listening to Street Magic!
I thought it was a bit expensive for what you get... maybe some lower price options..would be nice..
Great local scene-- wonderful food and service!!! Nice restaurant choice for the South Shore.
we had a great night...the food was delicious..wine was great and our waiter was very attentive. We all thought the atmosphere was very cozy after a long day of Christmas shopping. We would definitely go back again and recommend it to our friends..Can't wait to go back again ! ! ! !
Everything was perfect.
Food was awesoteric scallops were huge and fresh. Service was very slow. May have just been short staffed but they were friendly. Would go back for sure
The food was good but our server was new and did not receive proper training, which was very evident. I was a waitress for 5 years so I am usually very forgiving and understanding but I think management let her know in this respect. She did not know the menu at all. I have a gluten allergy and she did not know anything, although I do appreciate that she checked everything with the kitchen.
I ordered a Mediterranean Bowl (with tofu instead of chicken) and dressing on the side and someone else in our party of 8 ordered the vegetarian bowl. She brought my plate to the other person and gave me the veg bowl. We switched our plates and she actually saw us and said I was wrong that the plates she sat down in front of us were correct, but they were not. She took them back to the kitchen to confirm and then came back out and gave us each the right meal while proclaiming "for the record I was right." For the record, she was wrong the first time. I deliberately ordered the bowl without black beans. Also, they left off the egg - she assumed I was vegetarian because I asked for tofu instead of Chicken. I never said no eggs and she never asked.
We had a birthday lunch at Station Eight on Sunday. I had called ahead to request a cake but the message never got to the server. I did ask her to bring out a cake and candle and she instead brought ice cream. I thought that was a little strange since she did not tell me she was switching the dessert but it ended up being OK.
All in all the food was good and it's a great place for a casual meal in the area. I do not like that we were charged $4 for an extra 2 pieces of bread (they only brought 2 out to begin with and we were a part of 8). I do suggest better training for servers.
We really liked Station Eight and will go back, great bartender and the owner was there. So awesome to talk to! Thank you.
Good atmosphere on Saturday night, great for nice dinner
We were pleasantly surprised by the food quality. We went on a Saturday night, were seated right away, the place was crowded. Our waitress’s first night but she was great! Someone in some review mentioned bar food, and you can get appetizers, but I had 1/2 grilled chicken and everyone else had the filet mignon, it was much better than bar food. We’ll be back
The food was delicious as always and the service was excellent! This restaurant never disappoints. It is one of our local ‘go tos’ and we are always happy when we do.
We went for a party of 8 celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. Our service was amazing food came out hot and was delicious. One person in the party got a pasta dish and it came with the wrong pasta type. Our waitress was very apologetic and had the kitchen make fresh pasta. Beer was cold and wine was delicious. Cant wait to go back and try more items.
We really enjoyed our meal at Station 8. The food was cooked perfect and Lauren our server was exceptional!!!!!
We arrived at Station 8 with several of our friends to see the Gina Mark band. It was just an awesome night. The band was so excellent one would have thought we were in Hollywood. Good for Station 8 to select such wonderful performers. We hope they are there again soon. Everyone was dancing and had smiles on their faces.
A south shore gem! Great food, excellent service and open atmosphere. Floor to ceiling windows in the dining rooms, very nice bar area and live music. The entire staff at Station Eight are friendly and pleasant.
Way overpriced and mediocre food.
The staff was great, everyone from the hostess to our waitress was terrific. The restaurant atmosphere was good.
Three of us ordered steaks. We thought they were very tough and fatty. It was one of the worst steaks I have ever had. We were very disappointed. Our bill i believe was almost $300. I would not have minded paying that if the steaks were better. Needless to say three of us were very disappointed in the meal.
Favorite spot when we return home from Texas to Marshfield to see friends.
Nice menu options and good kid's selections wine list was good
they were a bit busy because many other restaurants were closed on 4th of July so food was a little slow but worth the wait.
Made an open table reservation but they still made us wait 45 minutes to sit. Very understaffed
Tried Staton 8 while on vacation and loved it so much we went back twice. Good menu with lots of interesting choices, excellent food, solid beer/wine selection and great service. Have already recommended Station 8.
excellent food, excellent service, very nice ambiance
My daughter was singing that night so a bunch of us went to eat and listen to the band! The food was great and so was the entertainment! We would definitely go again!!
Ah. Food isla ok, not great. Service is outstandibg
We went there for Friday Country Music night and saw Tequila Bonfire, an awesome local band, worth traveling to see! We went mainly for the music but liked the atmosphere and the food. The service was excellent. We thought it was a bit pricey but don't usually dine out in Marshfield so maybe it is normal for there.
Always a great meal and service at Station 8! We love going there!
Good atmosphere , good service, good drinks and beer menu. Decent food-the only exception being that the braised short ribs were not short ribs (more like country style )and definitely not braised enough- rare on the inside and chewy tough. For the prices I expected the food to be a little better. Overall ok though
Several things: they placed us by the speaker and told us every table was reserved and full. Did those people pay more to get a different table? Not happy about that. The service was slower, the food and portions were not good, my fish was undercooked, and cold. It wasn’t even good. Poor value. Love the ambiance normally but went there for Mother’s Day for my wife and my mother in law and very disappointed.
I came here for Mother’s Day brunch with my family. As soon as we walked in, I was immediately impressed by how expansive the restaurant is and by it’s decor. We were sat in a quiet room on the Ocean St. side. The waitress was excellent, however after finishing our drinks, we were never asked if we wanted another. My husband and I both had bloody mary’s, but both were very bland. The food was also very bland. I had the “buttery” lobster roll, which seemed to lack any butter at all and was a little bit fishy tasting and dry. Even the french fries (both regular and truffle) were very dry. The kids had the spiral pasta with marinara and seemed to be satisfied. I had such high hopes for this restaurant based on reviews and pictures, however, ambiance alone, will not bring me back to this establishment again.
Lots of fun for the whole family!
It was a very busy night (Saturday) at the restaurant so service seemed a bit scattered. Drinks took a while but the food service seemed to be on point. Everything was delicious even though I was informed part of my dinner was not available (they ran out of brussel sprouts) as they were bringing it to the table. All in all, was good and we will go back. Band that came on at 9 was great. Will stay for more of the entertainment next time.
We had Reservations at 7pm on a Friday night and were seated right away. The piano player playing was very good but loud.
Drinks were good, food was ok at best. This was our second time at Station Eight. Our first meal months ago was fantastic, this was not. My burger was over cooked, the buffalo chicken sandwich bland and the ribs were overly spiced. The steak tips on the other hand were great and cooked to perfection.
I was disappointed and not sure I’d come back for a meal. Drinks and apps another night...perhaps.
