This was my 4th time at Station at Person Street since my first visit in February and it continues to knock the ball out of the park. With two successful brunches and a great lunch under my belt I was expecting nothing short of the same level of high quality and experience at dinner and I was super pleased. The two apps we had were perfect. The Dip Sampler proved to be entree worthy and definitely 4+ folks sharable. The Chipotle Chicken Tender starter is more than enough for a meal as well. I had heard great things about the Station Burger and I am more than happy to say it's one the better burgers around Raleigh. Meat temp was spot on with a super fresh juicy red tomato and crunchy lettuce topped with extra add-ons crispy bacon and perfect runny egg. My wife's Black Bean Burger got two thumbs up from her and my youngest son's Sloppy Joe experience was stellar in his 20-year-old opinion. The only slights would be evening's house-made chips (which were visually a tad anemic and under-cooked) and my beer glass was overly warm (like straight from the dishwasher warm - needs to be chilled, please). Service was amazing (and sweetly concerned when the Friday evening thunderstorm drenched our outdoor seating area with a quick move to drier section). Between the starters and the meals, we definitely went home "fat and happy" and totally unable to walk comfortably down to Two Roosters for ice cream. Great night.
Took care of minor issue. Excellent response to ensure everything good!
Would recommend yes & no. Went for lunch. First time. Cuban sandwich was ok-meat was sliced too thick, bread was fresh, however wasn't grilled or pressed like a true Cuban. The potatoe wedges were outstanding. Might give it another try in the future.
Great bar. Open air. Serves good bar food. Service was pleasant and attentive. Highly recommend.
Great burger for great price! Not to mention $4 mimosas and bloody marys. Great atmosphere
I choose this restaurant to take my mom to for Mother's Day and I don't regret it! She loved the music and the ambiance of the place! It made her day and mine - the perfect end to a Mother's Day weekend!
Great atmosphere, great food and great service. We did the Mother’s Day brunch and it was great.
Never fails to please on all fronts. Had lunch there last week and it was great. Brunch is even greater. Really, really wished it was closer to our home in North Raleigh as we would be there on a regular basis. From the atmosphere to the food quality, Station at Person Street checks off all the boxes for a casual family or friends dining experience. The smallest of negativity is maybe servers could be a little more aware of water and coffee refills w/o us having to ask (but that's minor). Our new favorite casual dining spot for sure!
An excellent dining adventure. Great ambience, unbelievable chicken and Lima bean soup.
Seating, food, service, and noise level were all terrific!
Good food, excellent service, and a fun ambience. Plus, $5 Burger Mondays aren't to be missed. Yum!
Best spot to dine outside in Raleigh. Service is always top notch!
The Station is a great restaurant for dinner. Food is very reasonable and really good. Jason, our wait staff was excellent. Attentive but not interfering. Definitely recommend this restaurant!
Our first time here and we arrived with great expectations. Heard tons of super things about the place and the bar was set rather high. And I will be danged if they did not exceed it all. We were a little unsure of our Sunday brunch decision when we arrived for our 11:15am reservation time and we had the place all to ourselves. We passed it off as the damp chilly morning keeping the neighborhood hipsters hibernating and they'd be on their way eventually. We were greeted warmly up arrival and the service was impeccable. Not too doting and not too distant. Just right. I had coffee. The wife had a Bloody Mary (more on that later). We both ordered biscuit dishes. Mine: egg & cheese w/ a side of grits and I ordered some extra bacon. My wife had the chicken biscuit with grits. I asked for "crispy" bacon and man, was it crispy. The egg on the biscuit was cooked perfectly and the biscuit itself was one of the best I've ever had (and I have had a lot). The wife's chicken was large, in charge and mega-delicious. The star of the show was the bowl of super creamy awesomeness some call "grits." I will refer to them as "heaven" for the purposes of this review. When I die, I want to go to there. Never had anything like them which is pretty high praise from this Southern born and bred stone ground corn aficionado. The closest would be Chef & The Farmer's shrimp and grits, which up until this bowl of heaven had been my favorite. The crowd eventually packed into the old gas station as we lovingly licked the last of the heavenly grits from our bowls and we agreed that we chose our arrival time and brunch destination wisely. The only "complaint" uttered was that the Bloody Mary could have been a lot more flavorful and a bit spicier ("Good, but not Winston's good," she said). Next time, and there will be a next time, the wife will ask for her Bloody Mary to be kicked up a notch in the pepper department. As for me, I will be asking an extra bowl of heaven.
Went on a holiday Monday for $5 burger special- four of us- everyone was happy. Great burgers, speedy/attentive service, and we loved the macaroni and cheese. Worth a visit for sure!
Great place and good was excellent. Unfortunately it was trivia night and the announcer was too loud and even the music between sections was loud. Taking was hard. But I’m sure it was just that night
More like a bar with food, especially inside. Outdoor seating is nice, with 2 fireplaces on either end of the patio. No dedicated parking lot, but not too bad finding a space on the street. Bahn Mi pork sandwich was 2 giant slabs of (deep?) fried pork belly, crisped to a blond doneness. Salmon BLT was super-loaded with lox. Both sandwiches were almost too big to get out teeth on, but both very tasty. You can split just one of these sandwiches and walk away satisfied. Eating 2 slab of pork belly in one sitting would call for a cardiologist, maybe a gastroenterologist too. We took half of the Bahn Mi home and sliced it up and fried until crisp, it made another whole BLT sandwich. Same with salmon which made for a nice bagel breakfast the next day.
The food is good. They don’t have a host which is very confusing. Limited inside seating
Fantastic Pork Belly Bites, Burgers, Wedge Fries, & Drinks! Not to the mention the best Bahn Mi ever!!! Nikki our server was fantastic!
Delicious burger. Tasty beer
Such a great place to eat! The food was fabulous, the atmosphere was relaxed and the service was great!
Food was really good! Staff nice and service oriented. It’s a very casual local eatery, mostly outside and bar seating, not much seating inside, maybe 7-8 tables.
Excellent service, yummy food and great drink specials
It was a special occasion, retirement of a beloved colleague from work. Servive was prompt & friendly. Food was inventive (especially the vegetarian burger options). Everybody liked the food!
The Station had great ambience and a great menu. I'm not a vegetarian but the Portobello sandwich was incredible! My only complaint is that since it's a neighborhood restaurant in town, parking is challenging but worth it if you can get a spot!
Very enjoyable lunch!
