Initially I was given a lousy table in the back near the service area despite the fact I had a reservation and I rejected it. My server was nice and I hope my guess had a nice time!

We dined at Station 4 before a play at Arena Stage. 2 of us ordered the pre-theatre meal - great value. I thought the entree portion would be smaller than an entree at regular price but it wasn't. We came back after the play for desert. Just made for a great evening with friends.

Enjoyable evening with good service. Our server, Luis was very pleasant, professional, and helpful. Luis’ wine recommendation was a big hit. Thank you to the chef for complimentary desserts.

We were eating here before an event at Arena Stage. The service was very good and attentive, but they got a couple of things wrong with our order: we ordered the seared tuna, but got the tuna salad instead and mussels but got chicken instead. The plates were quickly replaced with the correct meals. Perhaps we were given someone else's order at first. My companions asked for plain butter instead of the lovely herbed butter that comes with bread. They thought the butter didn't taste fresh. That was replaced and everyone was happy. Overall, it was a very pleasant meal despite these small problems. I would come again.

It's a decent option at Waterfront for pre-theater going. Parties of two are always seated at these tiny tables that can barely hold glasses and utensils, let alone food plates. Service is always friendly but rather inattentive. The food is good but not mind blowing, there's a diverse menu and it's reasonably priced.

I took my mother for her birthday and as a before theater dinner. The service was prompt and thorough. The scallops and jambalaya were excellent, as was the fresh fish special - prepared simply with tomatoes and fingerling potatoes. They comped both of our desserts due to it being my mom’s bday. The restaurants decor is nice, fireplace, and eye catching lighting fixtures. I recommend.

The food was very tasty, but they do not handle allergies well. At all. My teenage son has a severe nut allergy and before ordering we explained that to the server, requesting that he tell us if anything we order had nuts or nut oils as an ingredient. I've given this request for 13 years when dining out. We were assured that everything was clear. The food arrived and everything looked and smelled great... so we did what families do and each tasted the other. Then I noticed the pine nuts hidden between the bed of spinach and the pork shank on my plate. The restaurant was apologetic, but we spent the next four hours concerned that we'd have to go to the hospital (there can be a 4-hour delay for allergic reactions). We were lucky and he was fine. But I would only recommend Station 4 if you have no food allergies.

Smoked Gouda Macaroni and Cheese is excellent. It's generally good for brunch, but on this occasion, my friend's eggs were cold and the replacements brought were just as bad. Her meal was not put on the bill, and the service was generally excellent, including trying to correct this problem.

The major downside is the noise level. I tend to go to Saturday brunch or in off hours during the week to avoid the really bad times.

Ridiculous one hour wait from time of seating (and 45 minutes from time of ordering) to receive 4 simple omelets. We came before an Arena Stage matinee. We had a 12:30 pm lunch reservation for a 2:00 PM show. We received our omelets at 1:30 PM, wolfed them down and raced to the theater. To be fair this didn't seem to be the fault of the servers, but rather the kitchen. My husband said he saw servers lined up waiting for food. It was not relaxing or enjoyable. The food was adequate.

My wife and I had perhaps the worst salmon we have ever had. It was way overcooked and extremely dry. And even though they re-fired it, it was still overcooked the second time. Since it is, at least currently, the only true restaurant within walking distance of the Arena Stage that I am aware of, my wife and I might not even go to Arena Stage until a better restaurant opens up nearby. It was that bad!

The restaurant was too loud to carry on a conversation. Added to that, the bar area started playing pounding music. Thankfully after talking to our waiter about it, they turned off the music.

Station 4 is the hot spot for attending a show at Arena Stage. Their menu is varied, BUT NOT ENOUGH VEGETARIAN/VEGAN choices! Delicious wine menu. A bit too loud to have an intimate conversation. But the food is prepared very well, the service is fabulous. Also their Happy Hour at the bar is excellent!

I continue to go to Station 4 prior to Arena Stage. It fluctuates a little: Sometimes the food is excellent; sometimes passable. The noise level seems to have increased. The portions on the prix-fixe dinner have improved. The service has been fine.

My server was amazing he was always available whenever we needed him, the food came out at the same time and the food runners knew who had what meal instead of yelling the orders out. It was a great place to have my birthday, every one had a good time.

Excellent food, generous portions. Recommend the crab artichoke dip to share. Very attentive staff, under the professional leadership of the general manager, provided 5 star service. Our waiter Santiago did not disappoint; will ask for him at our next visit. Definitely a new favorite dining destination.

We enjoyed the food and thought it was reasonably priced for the area. We were a bit disappointed that we had to wait about 15 minutes for our drinks (coffee and mimosas), even though we were the only table in the restaurant. We also lost our waiter around the time we wanted the check. All in all a solid place for brunch, but the service could’ve been better.

Out of all the restaurants in the DC Metro area, this was the worst experience. Had a 4:00pm reservation for four people. Upon seating, they only gave us a bar menu - including one salad, one burger, four pizzas, a few appetizers and multiple pages of drinks. They informed us after asking that they did not serve the full menu until 5:00 when the kitchen opened. 10 minutes later, guests that were seated shortly after us were given the full restaurant menu. We decided to order the crab artichoke dip appetizer. It arrived without plates and one piece of bread cut in half - for four people. We had to asked more bread and the waiter seemed frustrated with our request. From start to finish the service from all members of the staff was poor. Will never return.

We go here from time to time before Arena Stage. This time I thought the food was only OK and the servings were more like appetizers for full plate prices. My husband's shrimp jambalaya had only 3 shrimp and no more than a cup of jambalaya. The short ribs were fall off the bone but not distinctive and the polenta? mashed? under it was so soupy I wasn't sure what it was. It was a pricey and not particularly memorable meal and the noise level is almost unbearable. Guess we will be trying the waterfront. Though further away from the theater, I look for better food and value. I don't mind paying a good price, but want good food.

Disappointing pre-theater meal at a place that is always packed with diners. French onion soup contained burned onions and the broth wasn't very tasty. My partner's Caesar salad was overdressed, mine could have used more dressing. We both had digestive upsets the next day - something quite rare for us. We agreed that the only good thing about the meal was the overpriced domestic wine. Next time we'll stop at the nearby burger joint.

I have been twice within 30 days and ordered different dishes each time. On one occasion, I had the "special" which was a grilled whole branzino (deboned table-side) with brown butter, fingerling potatoes and a mixed green salad. The fish was cooked nicely but was over salted and the amount of brown butter poured over it made it too greasy, basically ruining the taste of the fish. The mixed green salad it is served with was served in a metal dish with the fingerling potatoes. The greens weren't "mixed" and were very wilted. I'd expected a crisp side salad. The waiter should specify that the salad will be warm/wilted if that is the intent. I'm not sure it was though. On the second occasion, I had the salmon which was cooked nicely but was not seasoned at all. My dinner companions had fish tacos (fish was over cooked) and seafood salad (very good).

The restaurant has a nice ambiance and is loud (lively). The bar is separate from the dining room and looks like a nice spot to get drinks and pizza (I saw people leaving with pizza boxes).

Station 4 offers a pre-theatre meal but you're limited to just 2 entrees and selected appetizer/soup. This limitation makes it seem a bit disingenuous given the wide selection on their menu.

Overall it's a nice restaurant, but I think they should tweak the preparation and presentation of their fish offerings. Next time I'm in the area I'll try some place else.

We chose Station 4 because it was close to Arena, but will go to Masala Art or the wharf next time. Food is mediocre and service lackluster. One person in our party was getting wet from a leak in the ceiling and mentioned it to the waiter. No one came to check on her or the leak. (We were able to bunch together - away from the drip.)
