Food was very good. Service was very disappointing. Our waiter was just going through the motions. Really seamed to almost be annoyed that he had to wait on us. Apparently having a bad day.
The physical restaurant could use some upkeep. Finishes and furniture pretty beat up. The restrooms were not all that clean and it was just the beginning of the evening.
I rarely order fish and chips but was in the mood for this dish. The batter was light and crisp, the fish perfectly done. The slender fries had just the right crunch and soft inside. Great service so we could arrive at 11 and make the noon matinee at Arena Stage.
We were very disappointed in this restaurant. I had requested a quiet table, but we were jammed into a noisy part of the restaurant. I asked for lemon to go with my fish, but it never came. We did get in and out in a timely manner for the pre-theater dinner.
Though two of our party arrived 15 minutes late, no one hassled us. Then the matter 'd reseated us in a quieter corner, the start to an excellent dining experience. Service is attentive, all four dishes excellent and two imaginative. Convenient to Arena Stage with a meal that matches the Arena's sparkle.
We wanted a light lunch and all ordered salads with some protein added. The food and service were both very good. Station 4 has a nice atmosphere and good location across from the Waterfront Metro station. Although the dinner menu tends to be somewhat limited, there are usually some good choices, with nice execution. I am occasionally very pleased to have an outstanding meal here, although the usual is pretty good. I have found the place reliable and a pleasant spot to take guests when we want to recharge and relax.
I am new to the area and wanted to take my lady friend to brunch. i MADE A RESERVATION FOR 1 pm. She has been to Station 4 before. She said the food has been sub par in the past, but the ambiance is always nice.
Joseph, our server, was disinterested in our patronage. He didn't follow up to check if we were satisfied with our meal or if we needed any additional items-drinks, condiments etc.
Maureen, another server, was very nice and accommodating. My lady friend asked for some steak sauce and she brought her a steak knife and hot sauce as well. Maureen was also very friendly. If I ever go back to Station 4 we will ensure we sit in her section.
We were going to be seated by the kitchen and we asked to not be seated there; there were other tables for4 people but the hostess insisted they were for larger parties; we were ultimately seated at a high top in the bar area; our server was awful; not very friendly, two of our orders came with out the main ingredients and he looked at us like we were crazy when asked for those items; not attentive at all. Will not be going back
The service was very slow. We would have ordered an appetizer or salad but we waited so long for service and drinks that we went straight to the entree. We would have ordered more alcohol but never saw our waiter till the end of the meal. We had to ask someone to clear our dishes. We were brought the wrong bill. Our waiter got angry when we calmly stated our concern but said we would leave a tip after he dismissively said not to. Then he wouldn't let it go about how they were busy and kept saying don't tip. So we didn't. We don't fill the need to return.
Very crowded. Staff worked hard. Manager particularly engaged, excellent. Waiter a bit inattentive.
Atrocious service—restaurant has a very lackluster attitude. Food OK but cold so hard to judge. I did like the grilled seafood salad. Never again!
The food was really great, but my date and I spent three hours here from start-to-finish. We didn't receive our food until 2.5 hours after placing our order, with no apology or explanation for why this happened.
The pesto seafood linguine and the seared tuna were just average.
The food is very over priced. They do not have a vast selection. We were a party of 5, one of our dinners didn’t come out. WE had to go get the server to tell him since he did not come to check us for a while. We order the crab cakes, steak, and tuna. All were good, but seemed over priced. The restaurant was empty...especially for a Friday night.
There is a saying amongst some people; "... you can tell how good a restaurant is when you can't get in. " I don't generally hold that to be true across the board but it is for Station4. I had the worst French Onion Soup ever. They would have done better to open a cap of Campbell's and serve it. The cheese was so burnt that you could smell the burnt cheese when it was served. Since we were visiting from from CO we thought we'd order seafood. I ordered the Blackened Sea Scallops Jambalaya and my wife ordered Crab Cakes. The good part of the jambalaya was they had a good portion of crawfish in it and the rice was cooked well. My wife wasn't greatly impressed with the crab cakes. The waiter came by to ask about dessert and I didn't risk it. We left there and went to Ben 'n Jerry's. By the way were looking for a place to eat at 7:30PM and the other places we tried were between 2 - 2 1/2 hour waits. Station4 took an 8PM reservation and had a 7:45PM available. Go to Wendy's or better yet go to the Wharf and get some of the fried seafood you can find down there.
This restaurant is only average. Steak was fatty, salads less than average, pizza ok , not great. Staff was pleasant but inside is dark and depressing. I will not return to this restaurant.
What a classy place. The service and food were exceptional. We had the pre-theater special and it was special. The pear appetizer was a perfect way to begin the meal. The entree portions were just right. The beef brisk was very tasty! Finally the sorbet was perfect for the finishing touch. Then it was off to the Arena Stage for a great performance. What a memorable evening!
It took a while to get our orders in, but after that, it was great.
Noise level elevated to very loud bar group during this "happy hour period. Waiter messed up my Fiancée order but she graciously accepted the Caesar with p chicken rather than the roast chicken order. On this night restaurant out of two desserts, already limited menu, tiramisu and porterfoils.
Mostly good experience, but tables are very close together, place was crowded and very noisy, and service slow for a Sunday 6 pm seating.
We dined here because it was one of the few restaurants near Arena Stage and was well-reviewed. Alas, the food was average, the service was subpar, and the atmosphere was decidedly uncomfortable. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. It went downhill from there. The tables for two are not on positively tiny but awkwardly close together. This is compounded by shared bench seating on one side. We had to ask one old lady to move her foot, which she had propped up on the bench, just to sit down and my girlfriend was basically hemmed in by giant stacks of purses and coats from the old ladies on the tables to the left and right. It was practically a family dining experience except these were strangers whose conversations we couldn't help but be in the middle of. The crowd was positively geriatric; aside from the waitstaff, we may well have been the only couple in the place under 70. Service was rather slow, maybe because they were so crowded, and that was compounded by not being able to see the waiter because of the seating arrangement. So, not only was it difficult to flag him down but, when he did appear, it was rather creepy since he was constantly reaching over me and out of nowhere. Needless to say, we won't be going back.
Enjoy my time there. The Calamari was quite greasy for my taste. I did not complain, just did not each much of it.
Met a friend for my birthday for brunch. The food was good and hot. Our waiter Alex was very friendly and attentive. The hostess Alexandra was very nice and pleasant. Overall, we had an enjoyable time. I would come back for brunch and would even try lunch or dinner. Very convenient for metro riders; restaurant is directly across from the Waterfront station.
We had an awesome time at Station 4 for Sunday’s bottomless brunch. It was pretty crowded but our waitress was awesome and kept our glasses full. Food was great!
Busy Sunday morning brunch and while the food was good, it was a bit slow coming out. That being said...we were also late to the reservation but were still seated quickly upon arrival. So, we break even on that one.
Large portions, super tasty. Staff was personable and helpful.
The waiter was extremely inattentive (despite only having us and a large table, neither of which he visited often). Once we got our food, he never checked on us until well after we were finished and then took well over five minutes to bring us our check.
The menu item I wanted for brunch wasn’t available and the side order of bacon I got with the entree I settled on was so burnt you needed a sip of water to mix with it to make it chewable.
Overall we like the restaurant and menu (when it’s available) but we’ve been here before and had the same waiter and he seems to get progressively worse with each visit to the point I doubt we will bother trying here again sadly. This was an extremely disappointing visit as it was our last full day with my mother and mother-in-law visiting my spouse and I for the weekend and was the only restaurant we took them to which was a negative experience.
Food was lukewarm, but tasted fine. The place was empty...still took a long time to receive our order.
Brunch was amazing!
On point, as always. Great food and service. Very enjoyable laid back atmosphere.
Loved the red snapper sandwich! First time there for lunch and it was every bit as good as my dinner time experience there.
This was an interesting space. They have a fairly small, eclectic menu with a number of unusual items. We have the seared scallops (very good, but a fairly small serving) and two of the pizzas, including the crab pizza. Portions on the pizzas were generous.
This is my 2nd time at Station 4. I enjoyed the ambience and meal
I wanted something I was allergic to left out of an omelet- but the chef refused. The waiter was rude and the manager didn’t care. No requests here - even in a made to order omelet.
We enjoyed our pre-theater meal at Station 4.
The wait staff is fantastic.
The food was tasty--had the short-ribs with polenta.
Great pre-theater dining.
The server was way too aggressive in pushing the type of water (tap or brand), the wine he pushed was a brand they "just go in today", and kept pushing a fish dish. He was really disappointed when we did not take his suggestions. It was so bad that his attitude took away from a generally good meal.
This restaurant has the friendliest, accomodating staff. It is a block from Arena Stage. We had the pre theatre dinner which included soup/salad, choice of one of three entrees, and dessert. We came back after the theatre to have dessert since we were too full after dinner.
The service and food were good but it awfully and unnecessarily noisy. The background music didn't need to be so high.
Nice stop before heading to The Anthem for a concert, excellent service and generous portions!
Station 4 never disappoints for brunch. I have had Mike or Tim ( I think one of those names are his) several times while there for brunch. He is an awesome waiter, very attentive, and nice. The ambiance is beautiful and in the summer sitting outside enjoying the weather with a nice view. I'll def be back!
The service was very bad. Waiter had no idea of the menu. He had to go ask someone else for every question we asked. The experience was very bad.
It was our first and more-than likely last time. The fact the space wasn't crowed the hostess sat us almost on top of each other in the middle section. It was obvious brunch wasn't a norm for them.
Excellent food and service. Crab cakes were the best. Noise levels are perfect and wait staff was awesome.
