Our server Dino was so nice and friendly. Really enjoyed the experience!
Waiter became smarmy when I asked for a clean glass of wine that was delivered in a finger and lip printed glass. Food was rushed to us without any awareness of our pace of eating, returning the food to the kitchen. Wait staff settled down afterwards and was more aware. Restrooms had not been cared for recently. Food was good but pricey even after our Arena Stage ticket discount. Not sure we’ll return.
Very nice place especially for a date night. All the staff was genuinely nice and helpful. They made sure we were comfortable and properly taken care or.
The food was fine, and I’ve dined here many times. The limited selection was oft putting.
Great service from Dino
Went for brunch and the Food and service was good! The mimosas was horrible!
Absolutely great local place with excellent food, fun ambiance and fantastic food! #goudamacwithbacon #kobeburger
My first time. Excellent food in nice setting. Across the street from Metro stop. Moderate prices.
Food and drinks were delicious. Service was great and quick.
Took my mom to Station 4 for her birthday and Dino provided great us with outstanding service and overall great experience here.
Their OpenTable page said, "Come celebrate your special day with us!" I made reservations for six persons for a "birthday celebration", noted this on the reservation, and requested the "best seat in the house, yet quiet."
The staff joyfully welcomed us upon arrival. We were seated at a corner table near the front of the restaurant by the window. Great start. The seating consisted of three dining chairs and a banquette that narrowly fit three persons. But, the diameter and height of the table didn't match the banquette. We moved the table closer but there was still a considerable gap between the table and the diners at both ends of the banquette. Also, the banquette seat height was lower than the chair seat height. Awkward.
There were a few other awkward things that happened. First, chicken and beef dishes that required the use of a fork and knife to eat were served in large bowls. There was nowhere to rest the utensils, they kept sliding down into the bowl. Then a very large party that was having a business meeting began to arrive and took up about 75% of the dining area.
That is when our service started to decline. Then a man arrived with what looked to be a PA system. Yes, it was a public address system. Yes, they set it up in the main dining area. Yes, they used it. Disrespectful to the other diners.
After those that ordered dessert were served, the waiter rushed over to put a birthday candle on one of the desserts, but the person we were celebrating did not order dessert. The waiter was apologetic and offered a glass of champagne to the guest of honor. Our guest of honor doesn't drink alcohol. Nothing else was offered. He could have taken that candle back to the kitchen, put it in a scoop of ice cream, lit it and sent it back out. It would have been better than just looking embarrassed and smiling.
As I write this review, I'm realizing how poorly this restaurant handled our birthday celebration and how our joy covered a multitude of poor service.
Visiting DC and found the menu intriguing so we ventured down from the hotel and loved the beverages, Mac and Cheese and the burgers and fries. Our waiter was great and helpful with our selections. Highly recommend.
Not the best meal I’ve ever had in my life, but not the worst either. The French onion soup was delicious so I had really high hopes, but when my steak came it was a pretty fatty cut of meat and a little over cooked from the medium I requested, however, the flavor was still good.
There was a really loud table near us and when we brought it to the waiter's attention, they brushed it off as if it was nothing. It went on for a whole hour, we couldn't hear ourselves think. It was a very unpleasant experience.
We really enjoyed every aspect of the restaurant. First visit and we will be back.
The food was good.. tasty brunch. The coffee cups were dirty and coffee wasn’t hot. The brunch ... heuvos rancheros was delicious along with the pancakes and French toast . The restaurant was smelly .. bad air flow.. the bathroom has a bar feeling where it was super sticky .. 😕.
My go to lunch spot with friends and colleagues. Love this place!
Whole experience was rather mediocre. The food was just okay. Ambience and staff were very nice though.
The food was good. The service ok. We were never asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. And since we were never asked we decided not to get it.
Thoroughly enjoyed brunch. The food and service were outstanding.
The service we received was fantastic
Service was slow. Food good.
Great food, staff was nice, food was made in a timely manner
The food was well prepared and good. The major complaint was that they did not have cream for my coffee. Hard to believe!!!
Loved loved loved!!!!
Although the food and service was good the bar was didn't know how to make a vodka gimlet. It took four tries to get it right. Your bartenders need training!
Loved the salmon but unfortunately was paired with lentils which did not work for me. Potato soup of the day was delicious. The side of collard greens great. pre-theater menu was good!
Said, the waiter, was great! I went for Sunday brunch and sat outside! It was very nice! My steak was over cooked but the flavor was really good so I didn’t need to send it back or anything!
I would definitely go back!
Still a good restaurant, but starting to look its age. The booths are torn and tattered and bathroom fixtures are broken. Not that busy for brunch yet still took a while to get our server engaged. I would still recommend this SW area mainstay, but with all the new restaurants down the street at the Wharf, they need to refresh!
The food is very nice. I wish there were more choices on the brunch menu; if you go at 11:30 because you are going to the theater, you might want lunch instead of breakfast.
Service was not good. The waiters were inattentive; they spent a lot of time chatting among themselves. And when our dessert came, the waitress forgot spoons and forks, and she left so quickly that we couldn’t catch her to tell her.
It’s a noisy place, especially if there’s a large group nearby because they have to speak loudly to reach the far end of the table.
I hope they can fix these things, because the food is good.
We had brunch here while visiting from out of town and loved it! Food was great, got a great deal with bottomless mimosas plus an entree for $35, and our waiter was fantastic. Even when he got slightly busy, the waiter for the next table was stopping by with mimosa refills. Would definitely return!
The food is wonderful, there are terrific small plates that make a great meal when paired with a salad. Great selection of beers on tap, too.
Their brunch is AMAZING!!!
Hostess was put out that they had to seat us. Waiter was nice but slow. Food was good and came out of kitchen fast. Refills on drinks were far and few between. Room was very warm on a hot day.
Loud, and only a third occupied. Banquette seating uncomfortable and sinks too low. Table too small. Food OK, duck fat fries tasty.
Great lunch spot
Great food and excellent service
This was my second visit to Station 4 in two weeks time. The food was excellent both times (with the exception that one diner ordered the crab benedict but received the salmon one and the food took so long to get to the table, we didn't really have time to send it back for what she had ordered). The service was fantastic the first time but quite subpar the second time. The biggest disappoint though was that I made a reservation for 4 initially but called to change it to 6. When we arrived they told us they couldn't accommodate 6 in the dining room but could seat us at a hightop table in the bar. I blame that change for the less than stellar service, and am not sure how the change in reservation wasn't noted.
Several dinner choices were not available and several beers were out. What we did order was fine. It got quite noisy however. Close to Arena is the best feature.
