I felt very safe with the COVID protocols they had in place. The food was hot and delicious. Even though we ordered steaks they came out fast. However I’m not a fan of 3 pancakes with no sides as an $18 entree.
The service was excellent and not just at my table, all the servers were friendly and giving each guest their attention.
Music way too loud; overpriced for what you get.
Food was great and waitress provided excellent service.
Waiter was rude/aggressive & rushed us to order. Didn’t feel welcome. I left!
We reserved a table for NYE about a week in advance. The day b4 NYE I received a call asking if we were ok to be moved to a hightop table because they needed to ensure the dining room was clear in time for the dj to start on time. So we we're seated in the mix of a general standing area, near the bar, just inches away from customers socializing, making out and dancing, not wearing masks, etc even though D.C is currently in a state of emergency and masks are mandatory. It was very uncomfortable! There was zero organization of the event night, no crowd control, luke warm food, extremely slow service, we were seated at 8:40, we were served at 10:45. We asked to see a manager but she never came to speak to us. By the end of the night our waitress was very snippy. She told us, we were seated in an area that doesn't usually have waiter service but she would be our waitress for the night.. there were no party favors.. it was pretty much my worse dining experience ever, the mandatory 20% gratuity was not deserved and definitely wasn't worth my spending NYE there..
It was closed
The place was closed, we had a reservation for 11:00 am, nobody was there. I waste my time
Great atmosphere, customer service and cleanliness... thoroughly satisfied
Poor service, I don’t recommend
It was okay, not as expected from the pictures. The wait staff was attentive, but the hostess was not very professional.
Great cozy sport with really great food.
Love the dining options and proximity to Arena Stage but would definitely recommend for delicious meal.
Family holiday lunch
Food is great! I ordered fried chicken salad. The fried chicken is crispy and the salad is mixed nicely. The waiter is not friendly.
The perfect place to dine before attending a show at Arena Stage. Everything we ate was excellent.
Reunion with friends and family.
It was a good choice for a Sunday Brunch, not fancy but servable... except for the noise level. We will not be back until Springtime with its outdoor seating.
Enjoyed my first time here. Delicious steaks, fun atmosphere. Would definitely come back!
Had a great time at station 4 as always. Our waiter was great (should have got his name) & the food was yummy. Some of my coworkers had never been so I'm glad everyone had a good time! Will be back for sure.
Our server was Larby he was very personable. This was our first visit. The menu was perfect for my date offering a fried whole fish, head and tail included. Convenient to Arena Stage and reservations are a must. We would go again
I go to Station 4 most times when I go to Arena Stage. It is uneven. This time, I was struck by how much more expensive the menu has become but was glad that the pre-theater dinner was available (on request and with ticket). The soup was excellent, the salmon slightly over-cooked but the veggies were good (more, please). Chocolate cake was fine.
Our server, who has been there for many years, seems like a friend and is excellent. They moved tables so that we had social distance and the bathrooms (not a strong point for this establishment) seemed better maintained than on my last visit.
When they are good, they are very very good. I only wish they could be consistently so.
Great brunch food and bottomless mimosas! Will definitely visit again.
It was my sister’s birthday so we had dinner at Station 4. Overall, it was a good experience. The food was delicious. We got the Mac& Cheese, calamari and crab dip for appetizers. For mains we had the the crab cakes, salmon stuffed with crab, Caesar salad, kale and quinoa salad and the lamb. All delicious. Also got the loaded potato soup which was the only thing we didn’t like. It was a super busy night but our hostess ( I believe her name was Elizabeth) was really kind and attentive. She made sure we got everything we needed and had a positive attitude. Ended with a free birthday dessert for my sister so all in all a good night.
Really good food!! The octopus appetizer was fantastic. And great ambiance.
Grilled branzino was amazing. Gorgonzola polenta...ooh la la. The spinach tasted like green wrapping paper...sooo bland.
All in all, pleased with the dining experience and will return.
Six of us were hungry after a 3 hour show at Arena Stage. With multiple culiary tastes and appetites, we were all totally satisfied by Station 4. Two of us come regularly to grab a burger after the arena shows but the other 4 were happy to be introduced to a more varied menu here (grilled octopus for example was given a rave review, who knew). Our server was lovely, attentive but didn't rush us so everyone was able to tell all their stories before we left. Portions were on the large size so unfortunately we didn't try the desserts. Will be back again.
It’s a very pleasant restaurant. The prices were a little high for me, although I realize prices may be going up all over. So I got the tuna sandwich, which was good but not great.
Loved it. Had a group from out of town. Reception and service were outstanding
We had an excellent pre-theater dinner at Station 4. The service was friendly and attentive, and the meal as excellent. The prices for entrees are a bit steep, but we were able to take advantage of a pre-theater special, which as excellent value for a 3-course meal. We arrived early, so the restaurant was not to crowded and was quiet. By the time we left, the restaurant had filled up a fair bit, but the noise level was still reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Station 4.
table was ready.
the crabs cakes
and were very pleased
Wine was served way too warm. I think they store it next to the heating system instead of a wine refrigerator. I was told new York strip was prime but there is ko way it was prime.
Respectable food. Excellent service. We arrived before our reservation time, and were seated immediately.
This was my first time here, and I enjoyed everything about the experience. The hostess was friendly and pleasant, and the server, Alissa, went over and above my expectations. The ambiance is perfect for any occasion, and the location is convenient — just across the street from the Waterfront Metro Station. I’ve already told others to consider Station 4 for their future dining needs. I ordered the Marinated Grilled Tofu w/ quinoa, avocado, sweet peppers, cilantro, vegan Demi, and for dessert the chocolate molten lava cake, sans the sorbet. It was all so good and flavorful. This is DC’s best kept secret. Many compliments to the chef, who gets an A+ from me. I’ll be back again very soon.
Only table in the restaurant and still had to get up twice to get drink refills. Food showed cold and very small portions considered plates were 25 bucks a pop. Manager apologized but made no effort to fix the issue. To aid to the frustration they slapped on a mandatory 20% tip when we only had 5 people even though their menus said 6+ ppl gets mandatory tip.
Food Wasn’t Cooked To Perfection
Per usual, brunch at Station 4 never disappoints! The food, the service, the vibes were everything a girl could ask for.
They advertise online and on their physical menu that bottomless brunch doesn’t end until 3 PM, but when I got there the waiter proceeded to tell me it ended at 2:30 PM. If I knew this I wouldn’t have booked the reservation or would’ve made it for an earlier time. The mimosas were mostly orange juice. The food was just okay. Definitely find a different place if you want to celebrate your birthday, there are better options for a bottomless.
My wife and I wanted to grab a bite before seeing a show at Arena Stage Theater so we found Station 4 located a block away. The pictures online made it look like a nicer establishment then it really was. Don’t be fooled by the tufted furniture and fireplace. This is a dive bar disguised as a restaurant.
Menus were stained and dirty. Our server knew nothing about any of the drinks or food and had to come back to me to ask again what I ordered. I only got the shrimp tacos which were just grilled, over-cooked shrimp with diced tomatoes on a small, soft tortilla that deteriorated as soon as I picked it up.
I wouldn’t care about the quality of the service or food if they didn’t charge SO MUCH. It’s insanely expensive for such a terrible experience. I felt ripped off. Avoid this place at all costs.
It was overall a great experience. The food and ambiance was great. It was a nice way to spend my birthday.
