Great food. Decent price. Very slow service. The service seemed a bit unorganized where one person didn't know what the other person was doing.
One of Sacramento's finest restaurants!
Food was decent but service lacking on the evening we went. Took over 15 mins for someone to get to our table for a drink order. Our server was great but it seemed she was in charge of too many tables. So, not her fault as I usually peg this on poor management. I'm not in any hurry to rush back...maybe for a happy hour if at all.
Went for a lunch with my family. Food was great, service was great. It was my family’s first time and my 2nd time. We’d all go back! :)
We celebrated my son 24th birthday with family. This was our first time there and we weren’t disappointed. I definitely recommend this place.
Our reservation was at 8.30pm but our table was not ready until 9pm and we had to push to get it. We were 14 people, food was very average, crab cakes were not tasty and very spicy for example.
Service was great that is the only real positive. Lastly, we were on time, yet our opentable reservation showed as canceled like we did not show up, weird!?
As our second visit to Station 16 , we continue to be very happy with the food at Station16
We were not acknowledged by server for quite a while. We were both eating crab and was not offered a bib, we made our own. They were also out of wet naps....but they serve crab and that is so needed. There were not alternative solutions offered so we had to go wash our hands in the bathroom. Prices are too high for this mediocre service.
Second time we have been here. Tried brunch it was very good. Our waiter was excellent. Loved the waffles
This restaurant is outstanding and my party of four were amazed that there was so little customers here. I had the chicken avocado BLT with fries and both were outstanding! The fries had a spiciness that I loved! Another in our party had the lobster roll, and he thought it was great. Another had the shrimp and rice and loved it. I just can't think of what the fourth person had. We felt very concerned that there wasn't a lot of customers.... Also, they have a discount for state employees! Yay! I will be coming back in the future and have already spoke with someone else, who had never heard of it, and we will be going back in April. Can't say enough good things about this place! Also, Marcus was our server, who was training Andrew. They both are great!
Everything we are tasted wonderfully. Our server/ bartender was incredibly busy yet still attentive and friendly. Really liked this place.
It was loud, but there was a big football game on. We might try to time or dinners in the future so they don't coincide with major sporting events. To be fair, the bar is perfect for such events. We had to wait a bit for one of our courses, but our servers were super friendly and helpful, and communicated what was happening, and made up for the wait. Thanks!
So happy to see that we have a great seafood restaurant in downtown. Fabulous choices from either land or sea to tempt any taste buds. Our waiter was never far away, responsive when we needed him to be and discreet when we didn't. This restaurant has definitely become one of my new favorites.
A wonderful meal. Portions are generous and while many items on the menus are spicy hot, they made an effort to reduce the heat. All of our plates were well prepared and very flavorful.
Our initial server was very good, helpful in ordering and attentive. Our dinner was a totally enjoyable
picture is what the CRAB SHOULD LOOK. This is not what we got.
We usually go here for crabs. Even last week the crabs were amazing! ( see picture) This time- there was almost no garlic on the crab. When we tried to get more garlic they told me that this was just how the batch came out?! So I asked for more hot cooked garlic and they game me clarified butter. Finally I spoke with a manager who fixed it. They took them back and recooked them with garlic. It still wasn’t the same as last week. Plus it was $180 just for two crabs with shrimp which was pretty expensive. The drinks were okay. The waiter was very nice but almost none existent, other waiter were the one who got me water and garlic. My bill ended up being $350. Honestly I which I just made the trip to the Crustacean in SF, it was so much better than this last visit. I might give it one more shot. It they don’t get it together we will have to look for another place.
My husband and I wanted seafood - this place was off the chart. Service was so amazing just like the food.
Calamari just ok but our meal was something I will crave! Cocktails were delish!
Great selection at the oyster bar. Cooked a steak perfectly. Lots of plans and the fettuccine, all the food was excellent well prepared. The staff was very friendly and efficient.
If I spend 42 dollars for an entree I do not expect to be nickled and dimed to death for extra bread and butter. For this alone we will not return. The food was above average and the staff were on top of things, I just hate being made to feel "cheapified" like a hobo with ketchip and hot tea water.
Oyster bar without the oysters?? Ran out of oysters at 5pm on NY day. We ordered half dozen Kumamoto oysters, the sweet chili wings, fried sampler, calamari, Galbi short ribs, Cajun garlic fries, and the crab cakes and let's just say it wasn't worth the trip downtown or going out in the cold for. Crab cake was like eating just a plain round piece of stove top stuff and the other food was nothing worth remembering. Needless to say we didn't order any entrees. Was also disappointed since I indicated we were there to celebrate a birthday and not once did anyone there mention the occasion. Why ask when you don't care.
The service was unbelievable and the food was absolutely amazing. We felt like the only customers there by how the whole staff took personal interest in us and our experience. We live 2 hours away but are looking for other things to do in the area just to visit here again
Five different types of oysters to choose from, lots of fabulous appetizers as well as small plates, share a platter of mussels clams and prawns to finish it off! Yum!
The service was excellent. The food was outstanding!!!
We were not a good match for this place and we didn't realize this when we made the reservation. It's a very large high-ceilinged room with lots of hard surfaces (has an industrial feel) and lots of TVs; it's almost more of a bar and oyster bar than a restaurant. They sat 3 of us at a table that could have fit 6 or7. On the food: My crab cakes were quite good. LB's steamed clams were served not hot enough, and while there was a generous supply of them, 5 were bad (that is, not opened up). Mark ordered Cajun Pasta, which was good and quite spicy. LB and I both got a side order of green beans - generous portions but very garlicky, not cooked quite enough for me, and overly salted. (I took the leftover beans home and added them to our garden arugula and cooked up a nice side dish for dinner at home the next night.) On a chilly night in late November, Station 16 did not feel warm in ambience nor warm in temperature (though I did warm up after a while). We will not be back. It might suit you better.
Had a fantastic time at the oyster bar with some work colleagues. Pedro and Urielle were super fun and super fast. They make great work look like a breeze. One of the best dining experiences I've ever had!!!
Excellent oysters! Skillet prawns...I want to eat them every day! Yummy! Super expensive but a total treat!
Meeting friends
We made last minute reservations for a party of 7. We were immediately seated. The waiter was patient and offered suggestions. Our food didn't take long to come out. I recommend the lobster roll or cajun pasta. It was a little loud in there but it was probably because the world series was on. I like their weekend brunch.
Really enjoyed our server JR, the fried oysters, and the lobster mac and cheese.
My boyfriend and I go to for brunch every Sunday a different location; however, we said we will definitely return. Food was delicious and seating was excellent.
We absolutely love our meals and experience at Station 16. The oyster bar is amazing, the staff is professional and very friendly. Every chance we can, we head up to Sac for a great meal there.
One of my all time favorite seafood restaurants. The skillet seafood + the works & the lobster Mac & cheese are delicious!
Very much satisfied! Couldn’t ask for a better experience!
Great seafood! I’ve been there several times and I have never been disappointed. The beef appetizer is the best and the prawns, crab and garlic noodles rival those of Crustacean!
Service was great and exceptional. We ordered oysters and cheese tater tots. Both were amazingly delicious. Recommend this for couples.
Apple pie ala mode with caramel sauce was excellent. Fresh oyster lovers will love the selection. Cioppino was a bit spicy for our tastes. The calamari is nicely fried, As is the fried fish appetizers.
Dinner with mom who came in from out town.
An exciting, bustling place- visually pleasing hors d’ouvres and main dishes; Excellent mixed drinks; good wine selection. Service good.
Clams & linguine average; ribs and crab legs dish amazing.
great food and service 10/10.
First time here and the place was pretty nice. The service was good, and the menu had some great selections. We opted for the awesome seafood plates. They were a bit pricey, but we did opt for the king crab, so that was to be expected. The lobster roll was a bit small, but had good flavor. I would also recommend the tots to start - those were great. Pretty good downtown spot!
I've been here over 20 times and it just gets better.
