Great location. Wonderful food.
The experience was nice and the place looked really cool. The food was just OK. My wife had the Tuna Poke (which is one of their best sellers) and the menu doesn’t mention it, and the waitress who suggested it failed t tell us how crazy spicy it was. I’m a whimp white spicy things so everything is hot to me. However my wife was sweating after eating it. I also had the tri tip sandwich and it was Ok nothing special.
TLDR: I’d go there for drinks and appetizers but for the money I wouldn’t eat there.
Great food and great service.
Went on a quiet Monday night. Been before on weekends when it’s packed. Not many tables seated. Server greeted us immediately. Ordered drinks but it took a good 25 minutes for them to be delivered. Food though was very good
Second time dining at this restaurant. A constrained but interesting menu with consistently good dishes. Appetizer portions are big enough to share or pair as small plates. Two of these and all but the heartiest appetites should be sated. Loved the hot crabmeat dip. Featured cocktail felt light on spirits, wine selection again constrained but offers choice across price, varieties if not within. The ribs are delicious with a magical mustard sauce. Bronzino arrived with crispy skin, and soft, sweet white meat. The smashed and fried potato accompaniment crispy exterior, creamy insides - warm and delicious. The food is all prepared and presented with care. Wait staff is efficient, not all equally personable. Table was serviced by five different staff over the course of the meal. Vibe is young, energetic, slightly hip., not pretentious.
Went for Happy Hour before a show at TPAC. It took longer than normal to get drinks from the bar and all the server could say was “it’s coming, I promise.” Some of the items we ordered were never put in and asked 20 minutes later if we were interested in getting them...hello we thought they had already ordered them. Service was so bad we had our last round of drinks canceled
It was our first night out after having our first baby. We greatly enjoyed our experience and our server Branson was awesome!! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.
We were visiting a friend and decided to have brunch at Stateside. The food was amazing and our waiter (Jody) was awesome. He was honest about his likes and dislikes and his recommendations were perfect.
My husband and I ate here for my birthday. The hotel and restaurant was stunning! The vibe was great. Great service and food was delicious. We would definitely return and the location is perfect for exploring other new bars/restaurants that downtown has to offer!
Amazing meal and even better staff and waiter.
Stateside has a wide menu, so many choices. The sushi rolls are great, so is crab dip. I’ve been there a few times and had the burger twice. It’s really good.
Not sure, the noise level is VERY difficult to have a conversation even with the person right next to you.
We were really impressed with Stateside Kitchen. The Crab Dip was the best we have had. Our visitors were from Maryland, so that is saying alot! Drinks, sushi, food...all amazing! Would recommend to locals and visitors alike.
Booked for an executive dinner and ended up having to relocate them due to excessive noise and dim lighting.
Booked a dinner here for my team and we had a lovely time. The food variety was excellent with something for everyone and everything we ordered we loved. The ambiance is really nice and the cocktails are delish!
Sweet little getaway for the Nashville residents and I am sure a great spot for the tourist. I have been here at least three times in the last three months and each experience was outstanding. My only complaint is the noise level can make having conversations with your companions a bit difficult. That said there are so many other aspects of this wildly beautiful space that are worth experiencing in spite of the noise. The aesthetics of this place alone make me happy every time I visit but the extra treat is the friendliness of every member of the staff we have encountered there. Most recently we took friends from California and France and they were wowed by the "southern hospitality" and I beamed as if I had anything to do with it. The menu has something for everyone and it is all tasty. The secret bar is fun with a private collection of art and downstairs there is a small bar accessed from the Printer's Alley side that is small but has great music and more friendly staff. I know there are so many good places to visit in Nashville but every time I go downtown I want to stop here now.
Love the atmosphere! It can be a little hard to hear, but overall a great experience.
Loved everything about this restaurant. I’m not a huge seafood fan but ordered the tuna tartare and shrimp bucatini and it was by far one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Waiter made great recommendations, loved the atmosphere. Great non-traditional Nashville meal!
Loved the decor, ambience, waiter was excellent, kept apologizing for late service. We assured him, we were good, had a drink, good company, we were fine. Food was okay, but not what I expected. We did not complain at all he was very nice, even gave us a free dessert.
Excellent meal, great drinks and a super cool vibe! Our server was friendly and attentive — making our experience exceptional all around. Would highly recommend!
Love the atmosphere. There sushi was excellent and one of us had the filet that was also great. Start the night in the lobby bar before dinner.’
The wait staff was very attentive and service was prompt. The drinks were amazing and the food was decadent.
Arrived for a 7 pm open table reservation that was mase at 4 pm or so to eat before a concert. Upon arrival they did not have our reservation and was Told that Open Table only updates reservations every couple of hours and they didn’t have our reservation and the hostess apologized and said we could wait 20+, or eat at bar I showed them my confirmation and asked to see the manager. The manager promptly seated us about 7:08. They continued to check on us and we made the concert on time. Whatever the issue is with communication between open table and restaurant they need to fix but appreciate the manager stepping in and saving the evening. The food was great !!
Our server was fantastic. She made great recommendations of places to go in the area, and was very attentive. We didn't much care for our appetizers. The cocktails were great! Also the hotel staff are super friendly and attentive - even the bathroom attendant was a standout. Just above and beyond.
I've been to Stateside for Happy Hour and was so excited to try brunch. However, I was kind of turned off when the waiter told us that the kitchen didn't have any eggs to make over easy and could only do scrambled from their pre-made mix. Dream Hotel/Stateside is too nice of a place to not have fresh eggs on hang, especially on a Sunday morning. The biscuit and gravy was ok, nothing to write home about. The monkey break and the cocktail I got were delicious, though, and I love the atmosphere. There are so many great restaurants in Nashville, so not having eggs is kind of ridiculous. But, I'll definitely go back for HH and try other items on the menu.
It needs some ambiance
we booked through OpenTable and were received very poorly by the host(s). We only stayed for a drink and left as we were placed at a bar table.
Get the crab dip!! So delicious! We also had the salmon mango sushi roll. Fresh and flavorful and beautiful! We were so full so we split the burger and fries. Even medium well it was hot and juicy.
We had the BlackBerry margarita.
Good music playing but not so loud that you can't talk to each other.
I will definitely come back !
Great food, wonderful ambiance.
Got the crab dip that was recommended by the waiter. It was fantastic. Very creamy and tasty. Warning that because you are supposed to dip sliced French bread that it’s a heavy appetizer. Wife and daughter got the sushi and while it was good and fresh, they weren’t blown away by it. I got the tri tip sandwich which was very tasty but very messy. A little too much aioli. Our waiter was great and very attentive p, giving good recommendations along the way.
NASHVILLE Location. Made opentable reservation for 3 on Father’s Day/birthday for an early dinner. Decor was really nice and cool but service was an absolute mess. Very kind server was uninformed and at the mercy of the kitchen that was not ready (and/or willing) to handle much of anything. Perhaps it was the 4pm changeover from brunch to dinner?? There was only one other couple in the restaurant and 2 people at the bar. C’mon, hip Nashville restaurants should be ready for anything, especially ones touting alumni from Hillstone. We had already ordered crab dip and two drinks, so we stayed for that, before heading somewhere else. This place needs a better plan. For what it’s worth, the crab dip was really good. :-)
Great service and table location. Food was very good, a little bit of a loud environment.
Very good food. Only negative was the music was very loud
This has easily become one of our favorite spots. Service is always great and food is excellent. We ended up getting there almost an hour before our reservation due to the event we attended getting over sooner than expected. Marie, the hostess which I believe is her name, as always said no problem I’ll take care of you and found a table for us within a few minutes. Our server, new to Nashville from Boston, was friendly and a delight to speak with about her new adventures. The restaurant was bustling and the bar was full but we received our food in a very reasonable time and it was prefect. We especially like the salmon and branzino. We ordered the crab dip appetizer this time and it was really too good, very rich and filling before the main meal. The restaurant has a high noise level but that’s too be expected with so many people.
Fun. Waiter was excellent. Food was good. Comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Staff were all wonderful and the food was cooked to perfection. Everything was top notch.
fun and beautiful location. Very "Nashville". Food was good - definitely Nashville prices. Music was really loud and sounded more like a dance club for a much later crowd. Good drink and wine menu. Would also be fun for drinks and appetizers.
Unfortunately, this restaurant felt like a “hotel restaurant”. It lacked ambience and had no “energy”. Its a beautiful venue that could have a more trendy, hip vibe. The food was good/ okay. Apps were the best part - pressed sushi and warm crab dip. Managers passed our table various times and none took the time to say hello or ask us if everything was going well or how our food was tasting etc. Sadly, we left with a “meh” feel about the whole experience.
This place is designed beautifully. The service was bit odd as our server was training a server and knew little about the actual menu himself. The food was nothing to write home about. Gassed tuna with a vibrant false pink color and fishy odor. The ribs were not quite “fall off the bone” more like steak knife off the bone and inedible. Desserts were really big and nothing special as well.
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the bar tender and waiters were excellent. The food was meh. Really bad sushi - which was SO disappointing. The kale & smoked chicken salad was just ok. Maybe time yo either get a new chef or improve the quality of the sushi. It was like supermarket sushi.
