Overall was a great experience.
Nice atmosphere and tasty food. Service was pretty slow on our visit, though.
Nice place and the food is still very good but the service is slipping.
Brought the wrong wine, the the wring appetizers..
not major, but it should not happen in a nice place like this
Everything was delicious. My only nitpick is that the cappuchinos came out lukewarm (3 people ordered them at our table and they were all like that). The bloody mary was the best I've ever had though, nice and spicy! And the food was the best meal of the weekend! We got lobster bennies, caesar salad, and lobster rolls.
Great food and service!
Great lunch in Boston! Loved the food and the atmosphere!
Busy so service was a little slow
The food was very unpleasant - all four at the table did not enjoy their meal. Definitely would not recommend
The food was great and the service was excellent.
Had a great recommendation from theGM for the calamari which was served ceviche style and was amazing! The winter sangria was also very delicious! I had the short rib, which I subbed some brussel sprouts instead of the potatoes and the dish was extremely tasty! Will come back!
We've been to State Street Provisions many times and always enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service.
My husband and I went for Valentines this year and unfortunately had a disappointing visit. The food was good - but the service was really terrible. The place was only 1/2 full so it was surprising. Our waitress barely came back to see us throughout dinner; resulting in our need to reach out to someone else even for our bill. We aren't the complaining types; but this visit definitely wasn't a good one. Will decide if we'll return; but likely won't allow one bad visit to change our minds for the future.
Good food and a neighborhood stalwart. The fish and chips were tasty; the fish was light and fluffy; the fries were flavorful.
It was just amazing as usual!
Went here for Sunday Brunch. Nice ambiance. Couples and people with children in a very open space. Food was good and good beer and drink selection.
Sat at a high top under the TV...wish it was not on as it was distracting to the person facing it.
My food was just like warm.
Amazing food. Amazing service. 1$ oysters 4-6 is a MUST!
Waiter was amazing and food was fantastic. Placed us in a quiet area which was great because of our personal business conversation. Second time there and definitely going again.
New Year’s Eve menu was great!
Ok food but the menu can be limited if you don’t eat pork.
Cozy environment with delicious breakfast. Definitely would eat here again
Our server was great and very accommodating for our group of 6...lots of variety and good choices on the menu which which awesome...we are fans of Russell House and was fun to learn that St Street is a member of the same restaurant group as RHP and Temple Bar...
Found this as I was driving into Boston. Was very convenient that it is located right by Faneuil Hall and the aquarium for easy parking and access to shops after dinner.
Been meaning to try this place and so happy I did. Food was excellent. Fresh and full of flavor. Loved the atmosphere.
Very enjoyable meal and service all around. AND, $1 oysters for an appetizer before dinner between 4:00-6:00!
Food was excellent, service was very good. What took away from our experience at the bar was that it was like a kiddie day care center. Why were a couple of children of one party being seated at the bar? Why was another party of 10 or so people with two very energetic little kids that were running around allowed to be in the bar area? Come on folks. Bars are for adults. Management should deal with this out of respect for the adults who are paying for premium drinks. We'll be back and hopefully this won't be an issue in the future.
Good food friendly service
Birthday brunch was delicious!
This was a great place to come with a group for brunch on a Saturday. The food was delicious and the brunch menu had something for everyone! I would definitely come back here or recommend it to others!
Very nice dinner, and although we didn’t realize it when we arrived early (5:30) $1 oysters until 6:00 every night. As a result, the bar was packed more than the dining room at first. But $1 oysters were available there for us as well. And, the main courses, grilled scallops and fish and chips, were very good also.
Great food - our server was rushing us the entire time. Made for a short dinner - which may have turned into more cocktails, coffee and dessert. As a person who travels a ton for business - recognizing the optics of a table and the potential spend would be something I would suggest.
Great food! And $1 oysters from 4-6 was a great touch
My sister and I came for brunch after a conference. They were able to seat us 30 minutes prior to actual reservation time, which was really great. Please wasn’t overly crowded, but from the beginning we realize how loud it was. We had to turn the table to sit closer so that we could have a conversation. My sister ordered the Mediterranean salad with salmon on top. The salad was fresh, but not very much of it. The salmon was very salty and very very fishy. I ordered the yogurt parfait, and the avocado toast. There’s probably less than 3 ounces of yogurt, with a little jam. The toast was a thin piece of bread, with max 2 tablespoons of smashed avocado on top. Some crunchy chickpeas, and a small pepper. Totally not worth what they were charging. All In all, I was less than impressed. Especially for the price!
I had the braised short rib and it was delicious. My girlfriend had the scallops which were delectable. Make sure to make reservations as it was packed for a Thursday night. Staff was attentive and gave us plenty of time to enjoy our meal. We had Island Creek Oysters (Duxbury) for our appetizer. Wine list was more than adequate and drink list was interesting. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was good as was the service. Fish and chips were plentiful and well done. Drinks were good. We would return.
Great quick and easy business lunch spot or dinner.
Everything was great, food is good and atmosphere is great!
It was a very nice atmosphere. I definitely loved loved loved the oysters.
Servers help us out of towners make some great good choices. We enjoyed our visit so much that we returned the following night for $1 oysters! Would definitely recommend going here!
Understaffed so we waited a long time for our drinks. Bartender seemed not to notice that we were waiting (although we were seated in bar area). Other wait staff, when signaled, shrugged and said they would let our waiter know. On top of everything, had a few oysters that just weren’t good. This is a major change since I visited this spot several times over the summer, when service was commensurate with the crowd and very attentive.
This was really a poor meal from a place I've come to expect more from. Fish tasted old, kids food was very late and french toast was raw and too dangerous to have kids eat, and no one seemed to actually be our server.
