Went there fir dinner and lunch. Dinner was great, lunch was alittle lackluster, foot not as hot or cold as you would want it, etc but service is great!
Fantastic service and food!
Beautiful ambiance and dog friendly. They got out dog a bowl of water. Friendly staff.
Food was outstanding. Service was so incredibly poor. Knowing that all places are understaffed, our drinks (wine, not crafted cocktails) took 15 minutes. We ordered our dinner before we received our drinks. Steak was served without a knife.
This is a great spot in an ideal location. It's right next to the aquarium alongside the water, with plenty of outdoor seating if you so choose. The menu has a good combination of healthy / unhealthy options and a variety of flavors. And the service there was excellent! Will definitely go again!
Ate at this restaurant a couple of years ago and was amazed at the food. This time, it was mediocre at best. We had to actually greet the host when we walked in, ordered an appetizer we never received, and were in and out in about 35 minutes for lunch. Felt very rushed and was just overall not a good experience. Also it happened to be our anniversary which was listed on the reservation, but was not acknowledged. Definitely not a place to go for a special occasion.
Great sitting outdoors after aquarium visit. Had yummy oysters and average lobster roll.
We arrived early for our reservation but were seated right away. We had prompt service. The wine list was short but the selections were great! And the food was wonderful. Lovely presentation, well cooked. Will return.
Great spot in the middle of the action
The food was GREAT! We got the soppressata pizza and wings and the pizza was phenomenal. The flavor was so unique and great! The wings were great as well- with a great crispy skin. My son ordered the kids pasta with butter and cheese and it was a HUGE portion. We also had $1 oysters. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because all the food too a long time. The waitress was great and very upfront about how slow it was and kept apologizing- but having an impatient 4 year old made it tough. Either way- we would definitely return because the food and ambiance was great !
Brunch was good as expected, nothing unusual or exciting, location great, service great
Stellar food. Exceptional service. Female bartender/serviceperson was incredibly welcoming. Someone told us she was new. She took amazing care of us and I even stayed for the $1 oyster special. Drinks were strong. This place was a great find.
Getting champagne toward the end was a very nice touch for our 29th anniversary with our 2 children. Food and Service was excellent.
the only very slightly annoying thing was the table next to us that brought 2 dogs. for the most part it was fine, but the dogs did wander over occassionally.
We LOVED our service and the food! Yaccoub was so friendly and attentive. We will be back when we're in Boston!
Slow service overall. Every time I’d leave to smoke I come back and the staff already cleaned my table. Even after I notified the server and the manager. Still came back and my food and drinks were gone.
Left with very unpleasant feeling….
This one was really disappointing. State Street had good reviews, and my wife and I were excited. The food did not live up to expectations. I ordered fish and chips, and the fish tasted bland (and possibly a little old). There was a little Old Bay seasoning on the fried part, but the inside was really not enjoyable. This felt like a hard dish to mess up (especially in Boston!), but alas. My wife’s Angry Queen pizza was pretty good- a little small, but better flavor. We then ordered a cold brew and a latte (which the waiter then said they didn’t make, so a cappuccino was substituted). The cappuccino then came out cold. The service was also not very friendly or accommodating- we felt ignored for large portions of the meal. There are several better lunch spots to pick out in this area- skip this one.
Delicious! Beautiful location too.
One of the best brunches I have had and good array of options
The food was fantastic and the staff were wonderful
Came for brunch on a Sunday with our dog, and they were able to seat us outside. A slightly touristy area but buzzing with activity even at 9am. Lobster tail and spicy chicken sandwich were great, and my SO enjoyed his breakfast sandwich. Surprisingly good lattes! Service was good, they even brought water for my dog and came over to pet him.
Excellent eggs Benedict and hash. Bloody Mary’s were ok but I prefer them without horseradish. Service was good. Outside seating was nice and plentiful
The lobster roll is AMAZING! One of the managers was also helping serve and was so kind and helpful. We will be back!
Great Saturday night
Food was awful. The server seemed annoyed when we asked for anything. No need to return.
Great outdoor dining. Server seemed unhappy and not very responsive.
Great food, Great drinks. Go to spot for later snacks or dinner.
Thank you -- we've been here now twice for lunch and really enjoy sitting outdoors. The service is very good and the appetizers are really great. We'll certainly be back for our office Friday lunch.
Went for brunch. Great food at reasonable prices. Our server was excellent! Love going here when we’re in town!
Food was good, service was slow.
Table was ready on time, waitress was patient and prompt when asked, and the spicy chicken sandwich was quite honestly the best I’ve ever tasted - Bursting with flavor, coupled with the salad - perfect. Filling, satisfying, and affordable. A must to go in Boston!
The brunch menu was amazing. Our group bought the crab dip, spicy chicken sandwich, and french toast to share. Each was spectacular. Highly recommend. The service was great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Great food, drinks and ambience
Went back for breakfast too. Staff is wonderful
Service wasn’t great; received our oysters/appetizer 30 mins after ordering and 2mins later our meals showed up. All 5 of us were not impressed with our meals. Although they were accommodating about kids’ gluten allergies.
Very good food and attentive service.
Good food, good service, a very tourist area so this is a stand out
Great food, chowder was the best! Cold lobster appetizer amazing. The gnocchi over the top great roasted flavor in the ssuce
Great food and service. Had to change our reservation last minute and SSP staff was super accommodating. Server was friendly and knowledgeable. Potato gnocchi-yum!!
Had a lovely time at State Street Provisions. Very nice atmosphere down by the harbor. At first we were seated outside but the sun was a little hot, so they were happy to move us to a very comfortable table inside. Tasty food, good drinks, and attentive service.
Waitress was so confused and told us oysters were $1, then had the times wrong and our receipt was triple. No water was brought, we didn’t have salt or pepper, one part of our order took way longer than the rest. Overall just bad service. Disappointing because I’ve dined many times before with no issue
