It was ok. Not really sure what the frito pie chili was all about. Looked like a bag of chips with chili dotted on it. Hard to eat. The jalapeno hushpuppies were really good. Not impressed with food overall.
Always great food and service at State Fare. We chose outdoor dining and it was perfect. State Fare always has several wait staff to check with you to see if anything is needed. The wait staff always seems happy and that’s a real plus!
Highly recommend the appetizer Tuna tartare!
My food was cold had no flavor and I just didn’t like it.
Great as always! My favorite spot in the Town Center.
The food just wasn’t that great. The apps-fried green tomatoes and queso were good but my avo toast with corn was mainly corn and -i did not forsee that. And one guest ordered the crab benedict and ate one bite. The crab was all filling-total mush. The pecan pancakes w/carmel and chicken was good but nothing to write home about.
Good Food, nice atmosphere, please make reservations if you plan to go on the weekend.
Great atmosphere, great service from Mario! Thank you
We arrived on time and were seated right away. Our waitress, Sonia, was pleasant. The food and drinks were good. My husband loved the Huevos Racheros and I would definitely have the Ocean Water drink again.
WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!! Fallon was superb!!
Food and drinks were great. Our service was good. Our waiter went long periods of time before stopping by, but he had a lot of tables and I was with my two other girlfriends so I think he was trying to be polite. It is a bit pricey for some of the food sizes, however they were very accommodating to weird food restrictions that I had. I would recommend if you are just looking for a casual, non rushed meal.
Excellent guacamole and tortilla strips. Nice selection of beers, on tap.
First time here, expected a lot so I was disappointed. The food looked good but was somewhat tasteless, hot fries but NO salt. Fried catfish but NO salt. We asked for the hush puppies to have crab added to it and you could smell more of the crab then actually being able to taste. All in all I was disappointed because the food did not hit the spot
Great food and service. Make sure to make reservations.
It was really nice and pretty and our waiter was really nice
One of my favorite brunch places! We had a table of 10 people and our waitress was on it! The brunch boards are perfect for 2 people to share
It was a family get together dinner. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience at State Fare Kitchen & Bar. Food was good and pleasant evening. Just one thing I felted the way of the booth situated and the table arrangement, it is not comfortable to look up and facing the other couple in front of our face directly.
Food was amazing but our server seemed very dis-interested in helping us
It was a good idea to dine here on Easter Sunday. The food was good like always, busy and still using the CDC guidelines re: covid-19; which made us very happy.
No complaints related to food or drinks; however our waitress was not so great. She was extremely forgetful, never returned with the item requested or ordered-until we asked her more than once or flag down a different staff member.
Nonetheless, we did let her lack-of-customer service spoil our dining experience or Happy Easter Sunday.
Easter brunch after church with a party of 13.
Annie, the manager was amazing accommodating our party. I called Saturday and added 2 to an already large party.
She was great and everything was ready when we arrived. No waiting at all!
Easter Sunday Brunch. Cade was a great server. Very attentive. The manager also was very impressive. She greeted us at the door with a friendly attitude & also stopped by our table. When one meal was delivered incorrectly she personally went to check on it even though Cade was taking care of it. Food and drinks were delicious and above expectations!! Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!!
I love the food and drinks! It was just a little too loud for Easter Brunch!
This is one of my favorite brunch places ! The brunch board is amazing and the mimosas and frozen flights are super delicious
The food was amazing as usual. One of our favorite places.
I love this place. Try the BBQ chips and Dill pickle dip. It’s delicious.
Everything was good except for the Bloody Mary flight. I had to send it back and even the 2nd time the drinks were not very tasty.
The staff and chef are the best. My daughter is mentally challenged to a person they were so nice to her. My thanks to all.
This was our 1st time here. It's a really cool spot! The food was pretty good but the service & ambience was great. Will definitely make this one of our favorite spots going forward!
Awesome experience and great tasting food as usual!
This was a wonderful meal very attentive service great food. It is fancier than we expected which was fine. But that also meant we spent a bit more than expected but all in all a lovely meal.

Dinner was good. Our appetizer and main course came out at the same time. The restaurant took care of the appetizer. I am glad that they did because the fried green tomatoes were just so-so. The main dishes were excellent! We had the pork chops, short rib and shrimp, burger, and andouille etoufeè with fried catfish and crawfish. I definitely want to go back and try more of the main courses. My kids loved the fried Oreos for dessert. I am very glad that we had dinner at State Fare to celebrate my teenage son’s birthday.
Great server, great food and liquor selection, visited with GM who was extremely pleasant. We’ll be back.
Service was great, portions sizes were huge, overall great value for what we paid.
Service was acceptable but could have been better. Food was mixed. I really enjoyed mine but my boyfriend was not impressed.
Great, good service and delicious food
We had a great experience as usual, however the margarita flight was watery and it was without the garnishings until I said something. I was just in the restaurant on Saturday, where everything was perfect, so I could definitely tell a difference in the bartender from Saturday brunch to Monday lunch.
Front reception very good. Pretty place. Wrong drink order. Wrong plate brought out, had to go to front greeter to get service. Manager was very attentive. Was looking forward to first outing , loved the State Fare on Gessner. Will try this one again, still hopeful.
It was a great experience and Katie and her team are great!
So good! Wonderful service and food.
