Friend’s Birthday. Food was fabulous and Birthday treat was unbelievably good!!!

Great food and service! The wait was not long, and the drinks were delicious, too.

We went about 6 months ago and had a great time. This time we made a reservation. When we got there 5 minutes early, they sat us in the "music room". TERRIBLE! The room was very cold (noticed another family that got seated in there also kept there coats on), asked the waitress about it, she never said or did anything. Catfish I ordered was terrible, way too much breading. My wife's meal was not good either. My son did love the spaghetti and meatballs. Our food came out so fast, made us wonder how fresh it was. The music room was so quiet and cold, just was a terrible ambiance.

Last minute decision to eat here and so happy we did. Fantastic energy, loved the decor and background music. Inventive cocktails and creative menu. Sounds simple but don't miss out on the grilled cheese sandwich, it was perfect! Looking forward to eating here again.

Food was absolutely great. Service was speedy. Drinks were good as well. Would most definitely return!

Birthday best waiter ever.

Ambience & Service was great ! Food was decent at best I’m actually kind of disappointed flavor wise. Got the drink flight and every last drink was amazing. The server was very attentive and the restaurant did very well with the 6ft protocol. I’m not sure if I’ll be returning though, for the price of the food I expected better plating and more flavor.

Have not been here in a while. Menu has changed slightly, but good food none the less.
Had the smoked rib-eye which was excellent. Will definitely return.

The food, Burger, Onion Rings, Fried Shrimp and Shrimp and Grits were excellent! The 4 frozen drink tasters was also good!! I will definitely be going back to enjoy other items on the menu!👍🏽

Love this place. First time eating there. Such a fun place to have a small dinner or special event. Food was delicious and service was spectacular. I had three mangers come over and check on us!! Will definitely go back. Thanks State Fare...until next time.

Our first time to State Fare and we were blown away! Everything was so delicious! Farm board, drink flights, Mac, double chop, salad, and s’mores!

The west side of Houston definitely needed a restaurant like State Fare! It was a nice dining experience. We were there late afternoon between Christmas and New Year's Eve, and the restaurant was not crowded at all. Our waiter, Cameron, was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. We both had hamburgers, but they were big enough to split. I had the "Flight" of 4 frozen drinks for $15 at Cameron's suggestion. It was a great way to explore their drink menu. Their food menu has a little bit of everything, so it's a good choice for finicky appetites. We will definitely go back!

The fried catfish tasted as if it was fried in old grease. The coleslaw was swimming in mayonnaise. The hushpuppies tasted over cooked. Will I go back? No.

The food was great! The frozen flight is always a go to. Service was superb! Complimentary valet parking always makes it better! I highly recommend.

The place is not what it used to be. I have given them 3 chances over the last month, both food and service have slipped considerably. I’ve reached out and received zero response. Sad what has happened to a once fun lunch spot.

I've gone to State Fair previously and always had a good time. This time was completely different. Our waitress was not attentive. We had to ask 3 different workers including a manager to find her. The restaurant was not packed but she was never around. Her mask was too big for her face which means she kept having to pull it up and touch her nose. This made us very uncomfortable. This was not a good experience this time.

It was very nice except the music was way too loud to even hear the person next to me. Our fabulous water Yancy had it turned down so it was much better. Food was good. Burger was great

The food was good but it was 6 of us, all of our hashbrowns were so salty they weren't edible. And I love salt. I ordered the crabcakes, so I asked the waitress for a fruit side to compensate the side. I was allergic to the melon bowl so I had to send it back. So the manager came and he suggested the asparagus which is fine, but he charged my ticket. It was alot of back and forth. The waitress was annoyed, it was just too much and my food was cold by then. My guest wasnt happy with the drinks. But were happy with the food taste besides the hashbrowns... so overall the experience was just ok.

It’s a nice restaurant, would probably be nice for a girls brunch, but if you’re just wanting to grab a bite to eat I wouldn’t recommend it. Service was slow, and while the food was good it was overpriced.

Staff is courtesy and welcoming. Waiter was very understanding and patient of the other half our couples date night that arrived a little later. Amidst the wait he suggested the margarita flight and appetizers which were all good. FYI, the Lavender Lemonade margarita is a pure delight for the taste buds. We tried got appetizers: the wings and the queso w/ brisket, etc. All so, so good. Entrees were various around the table: from the crab cakes, purest Mac ‘n cheese with a secret menu addition of a quite tender sliced roast, salmon w/ asparagus, bun-less burger and more. The ambiance was nice and the music in rotation was definitely on point. Even the Octoberfest that was ordered with the bun-less was a nice top-off to the meal.
Overall it was our first visit among us all and a great couples date night out ☺️ We look forward to another visit!

Great for the kiddo and friends for a birthday celebration. They felt so "adult-ish"!

The food and staff was absolutely incredible

The girls at the front were a little flaky. At 12:10, I called and asked if I could come before my 1:15 reservation. I was told they had nothing earlier. 12:20, My husband walked to see about the wait. He was told about 20 minutes. After 30 minutes we walk in to ask about our table. The girl that took our information, looked at us and said, “Oh yeah”. We were immediately sat. When we sat down, we received 3 texts. I think they forgot about us. I told the girl at sat us we also had an online reservation at 1:15. Then I received an email stating that I missed my reservation. Again, I think the girls forgot.

However, the food was great!
