State & Main Kitchen + Bar - Windermere

Compared to my last visit: this was great. The service was so much better: right from reception to check out. GREAT improvement!!

Went for boyfriends 30th boyfriend. Food was delicious, but our server was horrible. She only came around a couple times and we sat for 20 minutes for her to show back up just so we could get our bill. Went on a Monday night, wasn’t busy.

Love coming to this location as the food quality is always consistently good and the staff are always so friendly!

When I was at this location a couple of weeks ago - the service was terrible- even non-exsitent. But given that the server was just recently on the job for a couple of days, I thought I would cut them some slack and not post a negative review. I went back again today. And they could not even honour my reservation (I needed a table with a plug in). Yet, I could see at least two tables with plug ins (I have been to this location many times). This hostess had no clue since "she had only worked there 2 months). I asked for the Manager - he was a total idiot. I pointed out the empty tables with plug ins. He didn't care. He was more concerned about defending the "New Hire". DO NOT go here if y ou want good service.

Went there for the oilers game and some food and atmosphere was lack luster so we left and went to Boston Pizza. If they want to survive the COVID season they will need to adjust their atmosphere.

The menu options were great and the meals that we ordered were fantastic! It will be our new neighbourhood restaurant, our go to so speak. We do like to eat out quite regularly so I’m really happy to have found such a great neighbourhood restaurant!

I'm a fan of state and main. This location has amazing staff, i'm never disappointed. It was a busy evening in the restaurant but food and drinks all came out timely. Their specials are fantastic.

Dined here for the first time. Happy Hour was in progress -- no huge deals, but nice to get a bit of a break on the prices. Food was pleasantly competent. Service was extremely friendly and efficient. Atmosphere suffers with COVID measures in effect, but felt safe. Big television screens galore -- once sports starts again, will be a good place to watch!

The server was excellent the food was excellent but it was really loud

Great wait staff but food was really below average. Chicken enchiladas were lacking taste and cheese. Husband’s beef dip was fine but fries were slightly soggy. Great patio and it was a pleasure to eat out but unfortunately not a great meal.

The food at this location is always fantastic. Service is awesome.

Excellent service from a very congenial smiling server. Asked to have a large salad split into two ... no issues and dressing on the side for halves. Love the pretzel bits and the fries with best dill dip ever! Fish tacos and Tuma poke bowls both excellent. Finished off with Dirt Pie ... yum!

We thought Morgan did an excellent job, and he sang happy birthday, beautifully.
Our server was also excellent.

Our first time at SM but probably not our last. Food was good and service excellent. We were pleasantly surprised to find it was Happy Hour (started at PM) and took advantage of some food and drink offers. Very pleased overall.

Always love coming to S&M but sad to see some of the changes for Happy Hour. But as always Brittney was a pleasure to have as our server.

Plus was very impress d with their cleanliness. I had a birds eye view of the kitchen and saw them washing their hands over and over. Drop a fork and pick it up - they washed their hands. Flicked some hair off their face and they washed their hands. Chef came out and talked with people and before he went back in he washed his hands. Things like this are so important.

On top of great food and great service you know you are getting clean food. This is our go to place now. Loved it before. Even more now.

Service was excellent. Food was very good. Music could be a little lower in the morning.

The food was good. Unfortunately service was slow. The server brought us our drinks but wasn't able to take our order until 45 min after arriving because their machines were malfunctioning (trying to get other patrons to pay) so wasn't able to attend our table.

Our waitress Michelle totally rocked! She showed Superior customer service skills and exceptionally fast and efficient service. Give that girl a raise in pay

Sunday lunch with elderly father and other family members: we had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our server was not very good, and seemed to be afraid to walk around the table. He actually tossed the paper napkins at people on the far side. Drinks arrived in average time, but it took over an hour to get our food and it was not that warm. The haddock in our “haddock and chips” was not haddock, but some other fish. We have had very good meals at State and Main at Southgate so were disappointed. Not going back.

Sat by the window which was very cold! Food and service were fine, no complaints. Weren’t checked in on OpenTable so didn’t get the points, which is the only reason we use the app!

Wonderful Family Day luncheon. Great food and service. Handicap parking was right in front of the door and sidewalk as cleaned of all snow and ice. Thank-you :)

It was a quiet Sunday evening. The food was excellent and outstanding service.

Good deal for appies/drinks until 6. Service was slow...had to ask for cutleries twice.
