Stars was not available so they moved us to an outdoor restaurant. It was too cold so they moved us into the bar. Our kids bought us a bottle of wine for my birthday but the manager took credit for giving it to us.
Absolutely amazing place. Never been treated so respectfully at any other restaurant like this before. It's pricey but was absolutely worth every penny.
We were not offered a wine list, just the one pager which felt very odd to me as I watched other tables receive their lists. The menu had very limited options, and the food itself was less than average and not cohesive, except for the scallops appetizer. I do wish I checked it prior but our prior experience was incredible. The service was also not attentive and felt abrupt and unwelcoming. We also had the sirloin, burrata and tomato, duck and ordered multiple desserts. The kids menu was the same menu from the resort and not at all special. We were trying to recreate an amazing experience from 5 years ago and unfortunately were not able to.
I’ll like better when it becomes “Fine Dinning”, men in jackets and NO young children‼️
Hard to dine in an excellent restaurant in Chatham without the souls of children Too bad to spend $250 with one glass of wine and have to listen to small children
Need more ADULT ONLY restaurants in Chatham
Really mediocre. Crudo appetizer was so heavily sauced that the fish was completely overpowered, the clam chowder was served lukewarm, and the sazerac cocktail was so laden with ice and Absinthe or Herbsaint that it tasted like watered-down sambuca.
Service throughout was really distracting. Repeatedly asked for drink orders before we were given a drinks menu, and started setting cutlery for the main courses before we had finished our starters.
Some highlights with the duck main and mango cheesecake, but overall the experience was far below expectations.
Incredible dining experience and wonderful staff! The food and dessert were delicious. Five stars - we’ll be back!
Been going here for 25 years. Exceptional service and food providing a lovely dining experience. The ambience and view are unparrelled
Absolutely fantastic dinner. Service was attentive and the food was amazing.
Went for my husband’s birthday, and had a lovely meal -
So many fresh, inventive options on the menu. Cocktail menu was a bit sparse but the wine list more than made up for that. Incredible oysters, local cheeses, garden-fresh salads to start. The charcuterie plate was hit and miss… the prosciutto was the best we’ve ever had, but the njuda was in oddly hand-formed patties that looked like raw chorizo…. they may want to rethink that plating. We had the gnocchi and “striploin” for dinner - the gnocchi were handmade which was lovely, but they were a bit too dense and chewy; the steak was overdone and we had to send it back, but the replacement was fine and the waitress offered us a glass of cab while we waited which was nice. The view can’t be beat, the ambiance is upscale without being stuffy, and the food was yummy. We’ll be back for sure.
Outstanding food, service, and view in the Stars dining room.
The ambiance was exceptional. The waitstaff efficiency and very pleasant. The selection of food options was limited. The food was good but for the first time did not really excite me. Still one of the “go to” places on the cape.
Delicious dinner from start to finish! Impeccable service and a beautiful setting. We will be back!
This was our first visit to Stars in a few years. The menu was rather limited but the food was good. The service was rather slow and our server was a bit inattentive.
Amazing service, food and views.
The view was amazing, and the food was spectacular. The staff was attentive.
Stars is worth the money and it is the only place at CBI where you can make a reservation. Highly recommend it!
Food is not great and overpriced (like $36 for chicken and lettuce). Also, my advice is to skip the truffles. I suggest do drinks on the patio and go to town for dinner.
Excellent food and outstanding service. View is unbeatable.
awesome experience. Food, service, and atmosphere was great. Definitely be going back.
Not at the level for the CBI. Declining every year
Wine list good
Great location, dining room is impressive , food was average, service was excellent.
Got the ribeye for two. Severely overcooked, not seasoned , it seems like the ribeye was not left at room temp before cooking. It was grey when it arrived at our table.
We came here for dinner while on vacation nearby. My husband had been here 40 years ago with his family and wanted to experience it again! Our server was lovely but much of what happened was out of her control. Everything was very slow including getting our waters and drinks. It took us 2 hours to get our main course and they made a mistake by including bread on an order for someone with Celiac. They also promised gluten free bread while we were waiting for the food but then apparently burned it in the oven, so we never got it. The food was very tasty when we eventually ate but it was so late that it wasn’t enjoyable at that point.
Celebrating our friends anniversary. Gus our waiter was great. Knowledgeable and helpful. Lovely meal - expensive but it was a special occasion.
While the Stars restaurant has an excellent location and oozes excellence, I have to admit to being somewhat disappointed. This was a "special" occasion for my wife's birthday, and for me, it fell short of my expectations with the Main Dish. I started with the French Onion Soup, and that was excellent. I was surprised and excited to see Grilled Wild Boar, and being a big fan of game dishes , which are hard to come by on the Cape, that was my selection. It was a delightful presentation, but the boar could have used some sauce (mushroom maybe, and the pieces of popcorn definitely detracted from my enjoyment. It will be a while before I return to Stars for dinner.
Great food - extensive wine list - great service excellent desserts
Lovely evening. Dinner and service was outstanding. The mussels were prepared perfectly. The lobster risotto was very good.
We were here for my wife’s birthday. I would say the food is excellent but over priced. Our waiter was a bit effected and talk down to us at times. He also could’ve been more attentive. We have been here twice and the food is certainly excellent. However, for the price, the overall experience does not live up and we will probably not return.
While everything we had was very good, we were disappointed in the menu choices. We wanted sea food, being at the ocean, but most of the seafood was served in a very rich preparation. The dining room was beautiful and the view even better. The service was spotty. For example, no plates or forks accompanied our platter of oysters.
I’ll give them a pass as it’s still very early in the season and there’s a labor shortage.
Overall a very good experience. Beautiful setting and courteous staff.
Leo, our, server was fantastic. The food was prepared using extremely fresh ingredients. The service was impeccable, as was the ambiance. Can’t wait to visit again.
Great room! However, aside from the cocktails and artisan cheese platter (the smoked blue cheese was outstanding), the remainder of dinner was unremarkable. Chicory Caesar salad was just OK, lobster risotto was very salty and pan-seared halibut (one of 2 specials) was quite dry, only luke warm and served with mixed greens, 3 asparagus spears and no starch. Had high expectations, but extremely disappointed. Won’t be in any hurry to go back.
The outstanding: the service, our waiter was very good and the wine was delicious. We had a beautiful table at the window and were excited to try it. The food though was subpar. We started with mussels which were too big and lacked flavor. We then had the burrata salad which was actually quite good. For entrees, I had the lobster risotto and my husband had the sirloin. Both were like bad wedding food. I barely touched mine. For dessert we tried the chocolate torte which helped redeem them a little. Overall it was way too expensive for the quality. Would not go back.
Wonderful and service. Really enjoyed dinner and breakfast.
Excellent overall. Also very strong covid protection precautions. Open Table should include covid protection/prevention measures as an evaluation criterion.
We knew ahead of time that dinner at Stars would be a memorable experience, and we were not disappointed. The menu was a bit more interesting than we had imagined, and yet we were perhaps still a bit surprised when the plates were presented. It's hard to beat this place for a very special occasion.
The food was good, service and view were excellent, champagne was not chilled.
Beautiful setting and wonderful meal!
