Fantastic all around. Some of the best seafood I have ever tried. Would like to see an updated menu online in order to reference everything we ordered
You cannot find a nicer place to dine in Chatham - wonderful service, great food, beautiful views. Just the best.
The wait staff was attentive and friendly. the food was delicious and was plated beautifully.
Food was very fresh - they clearly utilize their local farm as well as the abundant fishing industry. Tuna crudo was straight from the boat. Service was top notch.
It was a lovely and soecial night! The service was great, the food amazing!
Very professional staff, great food and drinks, attentive service
Food and service was outstanding. The staff were very attentive. The view was beautiful.
Our server Angel exceeded every expectation. And we really enjoyed the complimentary bites at the beginning and end of our meal.
We had a horrific experience. It took almost two hours to receive our food, and we had to send the rare steak back to the kitchen. Drinks were wrong, music too loud, repeated requests for service. The worse part was the GM who was defensive and unapologetic! This was our last meal at CBI.
Our server was great. But food was not enjoyable. Completely underwhelming given the surroundings
We were there for Christmas Eve as we have been for the past three and we were totally ignored by everyone after we were seated until another server heard us speaking about the fact that no one had acknowledged us and we were 10 minutes in. She quickly realized and started to take care of us when another waiter jumped in and sort of apologized for being late. He hastily tried to take care of us and was not on point. We never got bread till after the appetizer, which might I add is way to late but because the butter is that good, we still enjoyed! I also paid 22.00 for a dessert wine that was practically a sip. I spend a lot of money there all seasons and this was my first real disappointment, honestly! So very disappointed, might have to pick some where else next Christmas Eve.
We enjoyed a delicious meal with excellent friendly service at a very quiet Stars on a December Saturday evening. The menu is somewhat limited, and our initial request of the ribeye for two was no longer available, but the grilled Wagyu strip loin was wonderful with a lovely combination of flavors. The prices are very high, especially when selecting from the wine list, but it is a great place for a special occasion. And the Chatham bars inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas, with even a train encircling a gingerbread Inn and fish pier.
Outstanding service, great reception, truly fine dining.
Stars is always an elegant treat - we love the style and ambience of the restaurant and the care that the staff take to make you welcome and special. The pace is unhurried but efficient, the setting overlooking the sea is unforgettable. We were entertaining an elderly relative - we appreciated the consideration shown to him - he is a long time guest of Chatham Bars nd the restaurant. We all four were delighted with our choices of food, beautifully presented as well as delicious.
Had a lovely evening with my wife around your tasting menu with wine pairings.
We had an outstanding experience
Our server was so attentive, ambience delightful
Outstanding, creative, prefix dinner. The Chef and staff were amazing.
A perfect evening
The food was very well prepared. The vegetables and greens are grown at their farm, so they are super fresh and tasty.
The only issue I can find is that the menu is limited. Other than that, Stars is a very good Cape Cod option.
The service and attention to detail and the view is amazing. Unfortunately, this is where it ends. The food is grossly overpriced and is not prepared well. $51 for two very fatty lamb chops. My wife sent her Sea Bass back as the fillet was under cooked, over salted and broken apart. She then got the risotto which was also under cooked with an almost raw runny egg. We also got the sea scallops app. Which was almost inedible as it was so salty and there was only two scallops for $25. They did provide a small desert as it was my wife's birthday but somehow that was also over salted. I would not recommend this place. At over $200 for two people you expect perfection but sadly that is not what you get. Go have a drink at the outside bar (if you wait in line long enough) but go someplace else to eat.
Let me begin by saying that I never write negative reviews and maybe this was an off day. We had high expectations for Stars and were so so disappointed. First of all, don’t book via Open Table Bc they will not give you the good seats with the nice views. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty and we asked to be moved to one of several open window tables and were told that it wouldn’t work. It was confusing and at first, we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps it was booked months prior or reserved for a proposal or anniversary. No. After speaking to the people eventually seated there, we discovered that the prime window seats remained open for people they thought were more worthy. We each got three courses and the meals were small, overpriced and disappointing. Raw bar, starter and entree. We had truly enjoyed Twenty-Eight Atlantic at Wequasett the night prior and everything about that experience was better. I am not sure if this Stars is under new management but with the poor service and not great food..I wouldn’t go again.
We have celebrated our wedding anniversary here at CBI/Stars for over two decades.
It is the highlight of our Chatham vacation.
If you are looking for that special night out to create beautiful memories, this is your destination.
What an incredible experience! Chef Jenkins and the wait staff went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable occasion. The food was perfect with just the right portions. This should be on everyone's bucket list to experience.
Not at the level of the hotel or a resort that type.
Asking to pay for bread!!!!!!!!!!! Where are we?
Not at the level of the Leading Hotel of the World. Food average, expensive and the bread needs to be bought! A shame for such hotel level and price.
Wonderful anniversary dinner—service was amazing and attentive in just the right way!
Service and ambience was fine but food was not the quality I would have expected for the price. I often dine at restaurants in this category and usually the food is amazing but the food here was just ok. The portion size was tiny. My husbands dessert was two bites worth of food. They also charge $7 for bread for the table which is absurd. I would not ever come back to this restaurant again.
Service and food were excellent. Staff went above and beyond to make us feel special on our wedding anniversary. One of my favorite places to dine on the Cape!
While the quality of the food was very good the portion sizes do not warrant the extremely high cost. We knew the prices would be high when we made our reservations but 3 scallops for over $30 is excessive. The service was excellent and we were fortunate to have a window table to enjoy the view.
The room overlooking the water creates a nice ambiance. There is a great wine selection. The presentation of the dishes is just beautiful. Everything was delicious. Yes, somewhat expensive but that's to be expected. The service was incredible and they all made our birthday/Anniversary celebration very special.
Beautiful venue and the service was good...but the food definitely did not live up to the price. Although we'll most likely be back for a drink on the veranda overlooking the harbor, we'll most likely end up eating dinner elsewhere in the future.
Stars was awesome. The Chatham Bars is amazing. The view, food, service was incredible. Can’t wait to go again.
Very limited menu and food just ok. Portions were skimpy and had to pay for bread. Nice view but food not worth the expense. Would not return.
Simply splendid!!! Had the ribeye for two , best steak I’ve had in a long time !!!
The restaurant is beautiful with amazing views but it must be under new management. The food was excellent except the portions were so small that my husband actually went to the outside bar and ordered a taco after eating his dinner. My husband ordered the quail and I ordered the seabass. The food was excellent but the portions were more in line with a tapas restaurant. In addition, they now charge you $8.00 if you want rolls with your dinner. I ordered a glass of wine and the waiter poured approximately 3 ounces into my glass. I actually thought he got distracted and forgot to pour in the rest. It was our anniversary and at the end of the meal the waiter delivered a plate with the words Happy Anniversary written in chocolate with two small gingered sugar squares. It was almost insulting and even the waiter looked embarrassed to be delivering it. They used to give you a piece of chocolate cake to split for your anniversary. If you want excellent views, a romantic setting and delicious food and appropriate portion sizes, I suggest you go up the street to the Wequassett inn.
The staff was excellent and the entire dinner experience was lovely. The cocktails, amuse bouche, and main courses were outstanding. An expensive night out, but worth it.
Chatham Bars Inn alone is a trademark of cape cod. It’s an institution that manages to constantly evolve and redefine itself - the Stars restaurant is a prime example. Excellent menu selection and variety, thoughtful and carefully crafted dishes that are built upon local roots and designed around the produce grown on their own farm.
Great service and a very good wine program add to create a memorable experience every time I have been there.
I am not affiliated in any way with property but I have been part of the upscale/luxury restaurant scene for a long time (and consequently know what I am talking about....)
You will find a remarkable service culture throughout the resort, working like a well oiled machine without being mechanical. The staff makes everything look easy and comfortable for their guests. Worth the money and highly recommendable!
Weekend with my daughter.
Amazing. It’s our favorite spot to go out on a date while on the Cape. Go early and get a drink in the Adirondack chairs on the lawn. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and just a delight to be with. Highly recommend this place. It’s worth it. Every penny.
Schlechtes Preisleistungsverhältnis, die Qualität der Speisen wird dem Ambiente nicht gerecht, eher kleinere Portionen und überteuerte Preise; kann in Chatham zweifelsohne besser essen als im Stars
