Stark�s Steakhouse in Santa Rosa, California, is an upscale eatery that takes a modern approach to sustainable seafood and steak. We had a great dinner with steak, butterfish, and great sides. We got wine recommendations that were delicious. Really enjoyed our dinner.

It's been on my Bucket List almost since it opened. The meal was so pleasurable, and everything I thought it would be, that now I have to add all the rest of the Stark's restaurants to my List.

We had early reservations so it was not yet busy and was very quiet. By the time we left it had gotten quite busy but, conversation was still easy, no raised voices needed.

The food and service was as usual, outstanding.

Everything was amazing. From the bread...to the blue point Oysters and Escargot to the bone in Rib Eye, filet and shrimp. All incredible flavors

Great food! Highlights were the aged rib eye steak, the loaded baked potato, creamed spinach (surprisingly light!) and the butterscotch creme brûlée and the lemon “cake”.
One member of our party had the Butterfish entree and loved it.

Next time we would take a pass on the bone marrow (a steak add on) and the steak tartar (a strange spicy chopped presentation that was over seasoned with a seemingly innapropriate blend of flavors it just wasn’t elegant at all)

And the potato leek soup was very good, but over salted and served at too cool of a temperature.

The $20 corkage is worth bringing your own favorite wines. They do lovely crafted cocktails here.

It’s a lovely old school room, the service was very good and we noticed that all of the staff that we encountered everywhere were polished, professional, approachable and friendly. Our server’s in-depth knowledge of the menu was impressive, on every dish, including the ingredients and flavors. She did not hesitate to make recommendations that proved to be on point. The professional (but unobtrusive) service from every staff member was a real delight. Obviously Starks hires and trains great people for their service.

If you are hankering for some red meat. This is certainly your go to place in Santa Rosa.
We had various cuts of beef and had them bacon wrapped and ordered Bernaise and green peppercorn sauces. Also had the sweet potatoes, broccolini, and brussels sprouts.
They have a very nice wine list featuring some regional wines which is fun.
Good bar. Interior is dark, and somewhat western feel.
The wait staff was very helpful, friendly and attentive.
Highly recommend if you are a meat eater.
A vegetarian could do just fine here also.

Our server Kelsey was great, however the burger I ordered was not well done (I preferred medium but being pregnant and sharing with my toddler medium was a no go). My husband ordered the steak and it was perfectly cooked and outstanding!

I like this place for lunch because it is not noisy and crowded. Service is very good and there is a good variety of selections from the menu that most should be able to find something they like.

Too dark to read the menu or the bill. Nice prime rib, but flavor overshadowed by hickory smoke. Baked potato mushed up with butter. I’d prefer to do that myself. Nice venue, many date night couples. Attentive service.will go again sometime, and try a steak.

Our waitress was fantastic. The food was impeccable. We tried some dishes that were not our favorite, but they were still cooked fantastically. We were not rushed therefore were able to enjoy each course. And of course the steak was to die for.

Been there before and, as expected, food and service were excellent. Congratulations! Price, a bit steep for the meal but primarily for the wine listed wines. Very good wine list and an intelligent offering of wines by the glass. I was once a partner in a Napa Valley restaurant and we moved a ton of wine, even top collectors wines, at 1.5-2x retail. I also felt the corkage was a bit high. $15 would have been acceptable. Your 2 bottle corkage limit is fair however. We'll likely be back but primarily for the seared bovine flesh. The sides were very good but, along with your killer bread we couldn't finish the main course. And we'll likely bring our own vino. By the way, I am a major partner in a Napa Valley winery.

It is too noisy in there! Better acoustics, perhaps are needed.The Caesar salad is just ridiculous....as in no!
I also do not understand why there are paintings on the wall of cows while people are eating steaks! Because of those paintings, I simply cannot even order meat while in that place. Thankfully I love the wedge salad and the potatoes!
Other than that, a delicious, rarely disappointing dinner out!

The staff were very friendly and service was good but they may have been a little short handed it seemed at times. The noise level was higher than we like which did make it hard to talk.
The food was very good and I would indeed go there again.

We were Celebrating a 75th Birthday. The meal was out of this world!!! The meat was the best I have ever had. The ambience was beautiful. We can’t wait to come again.

Very tough to get a reservation because the food and atmosphere is always so good. If you happen to get there early the bar is excellent to hangout while you’re waiting.

Excellent service! Our waiter was very attentive but not overly hovering. Amazing food! We each had the Starks Standard burger and each was cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed the potato fondue. We've been to Starks many times and we've never been disappointed.
