The ambiance is very nice and we enjoyed our visit. The food was good as well. We liked what we ordered and would likely return.
Amazing 5-course fixed menu (choice between 4-5 different dishes per course) for Valentines Day. Waitress was incredible as were the bartenders and other staff we interacted with. Thanks for making the night very special!
Excellent food and service. Valentines Day perfected!
We chose Stanz for Valentine’s Day because they’ve never let us down. This visit exceeded our expectations with their five course fixed priced menu. The only complaint is that there was too much food offered. One course featured a stuffed sausage in a flavorful sauce. While every dish was great, this one was exceptionally seasoned. I wanted to lick the plate and end the meal with that dish, it was so good. The service is always great and their manager is always a great host.
Great menu usually but do NOT ever come here on valentines day or any time they have a different menu from the regular one. The food was terrible. I was expecting the same high quality food I have had before but it was the opposite. It should have been better food than normal for such a special day. The food was all cold & didn't even taste good! It tasted like it was pre-made & heated up. Not worth it at all for the price of $65 per head. Waste of money & time. I wont be coming here again.
Great location for our group of 6 on Valentine’s Day. The service was on point and food was incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed the venue and we will be back.
Terrible service, the food was okay, but not worth the price... wine not good. Overall a disappointment.👎🏻 Will not be returning...
The duck breast was delicious, especially the blackberry reduction. I would have liked to see a few more wine options but the wine was very good that I ordered. I sat at the bar and when it got busy the server couldn't really keep up with the restaurant drink orders and also his bar customers but it wasn't awful. All of the staff was very kind and polite. The interior design and lighting is another reason why I keep returning.
We have never had a waitress ask us what time we needed to be out to make it to our special event. That was so courteous. The timing of service was just right, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the food was delicious and seasonal. Great, memorable experience.
We tried many different dishes amongst our table on Saturday night, and everything was absolutely delicious! Service was fantastic, and the dishes are original and flavorful - everything from the appetizers through to desserts.
Everything was great. Only change I would make is the seating is very close together. But 5 out of 5 overall
Service is always great! Food is delicious. Servers are more than willing to make modifications to meals to keep customers happy.
Great place and experience would come here again!
Had a great experience at Stanza and was promptly seated by the host Michael who stepped up to help with the service as well since they were inundated with conventioneers. I would definitely recommend Stanza to my friends.
All the food we had was delicious and the service was excellent. Our server Brent was courteous, prompt, and had a good sense of humor. The soups were amazing, and I am not usually a a big soup person. The entrees were also delicious and had quite large portions. I made the mistake of adding additional meat to my rigatoni which definitely was not necessary!
Food was delicious! Atmosphere was pleasant, although the music didn't seem to fit. I would go back, seeing as how my biggest complaint was about the music.
Food and service were excellent, the noise level was a bit high and you had to speak loudly for the those at your table to hear, escalating the noise level. But even with the noise level, this is truly a great place to eat. I am looking forward to nice weather and sitting out on their patio.
Even after a reservation we had to wait more than 30 min and when we got the food the meatballs were cold in the center
There was no parking. The back lot was full and I wound up parking 3 blocks away and I only got that spot because my car is super tiny. The food was ok, but not as good as we expected. The lasagna had way too much cheese. We had to send one dish back because the pasta was very undercooked. We did not like the meatballs very much. The salmon was great.
DO NOT waste your money or time on this restaurant! Stanza claims to be an Italian restaurant but the chef needs to go back to culinary school. Basic pasta dish of Spaghetti Carbonara was made with Udon noodles and the sauce was AWFUL. Salt Lake has some wonderful restaurants so please do not waste an evening on Stanza!
Given the prices, I thought the food would be better. Nice dining room and service, though. The wine was also only fair. I probably will not go back.
This new remodeled restaurant was very quiet for our Monday dinner. Both the waitstaff and restaurant manager were very attentive the entire evening and even showed us the remodeled upstairs as a site for future parties.
The menu was varied, prices appropriate and our pasta dishes very tasty. The wine selection is predominantly Italian, and appropriately priced. In summary a most enjoyable evening on a snowy night in Salt Lake City.
Wow wow. First time here (came for the duck) - and will definitely be back! The flavors together were well thought out - perfect balance. I'll return again soon just for that dang duck! Hubs got the lobster shrimp/cream pasta dish and I kept taking bites from his plate too. Yum.
Great atmosphere, but heavily priced for very average food. The gnocchi was quite salty and the lasagna had far too much garlic
Overall the food was good and the place is beautiful. I like that they had Arancini which is a traditional Sicilian appetizer!
Great restaurant. Delicious food. Very beautiful decor. And the service was perfect. One of my favorites.
four of us ate at Stanza prior to attending the Pioneer Theater. Service was excellent although our wait-person did screw the cap of our wine bottle back on after serving. A little training on the niceties of serving wine might be in order. The food was excellent. I had the rigatoni with shrimp in the spicy tomato sauce with heirloom tomatoes and it was outstanding. Others had the eggplant parmesan and the lasagna. Everybody was happy. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that the restaurant could step up its' game a bit on the bread. I love getting the wonderful crusty Italian bread served warm. The bread we got was cold and seemed almost like it was day-old. Not impressive at all. They did serve it with olive oil and balsamic vinegar however The prices are in the moderate range. I would conclude that Stanza is a good value as the quality of the food is generally excellent.
Thorough and excellent service. A bit loud but there was a private party upstairs. Food was tasty and GREAT wine.
Friendly staff and enjoyable, relaxing environment. They specialize in Italian cuisine and do a very good job with food preparation-very well presented.
Clean, impeccable decor. Food is amazing. Server knew the menu and the wine list.
A friend and I were not able to get together during the holiday season. I read reviews and had wanted to try Stanza. Food was great and the atmosphere was amazing. There was a loud party up on the second level but it was not obnoxious. The wine list was average and should be expanded with possibly more California based wines. Overall GREAT EXPERIENCE... Shanna
Good food variety, great service. Ambiance generally great but interrupted occasionally by a large group upstairs cheering and clapping.
This was probably my 5th time to Stanza in the last 6 months or so. I've been for lunch and dinner. I've never been anything but happy with the meal and service. The quality is excellence. While I may not agree with the preparation that's just an opinion, because they implement their vision extremely well. They are certainly at the top end of price for what you get, but you will never be disappointed.
We wanted our last meal for 2018 to be a memorable one and Stanza did not disappoint. The service, as always, is spot on. I asked for a wine recommendation for dinner and our waiter suggested a wonderful white. It was so good, I had another glass. The menu was fixed for New Years Eve, it was difficult to pick. Our amuse buche of halibut pate was artfully plated. In fact, each plate was a new delight to the eyes. I had the diver scallops which were perfectly seared. My husband had the dry aged NY strip. It came bone in and was quite a battle to eat. The meat, medium rare, was quite dense, but he found it delicious. I was not a fan. I’d prefer a steak that was not dry aged. Overall, we enjoyed our night out and look forward to coming back.
We eat here often and typically love the food. That being said, the steak that they served for their prix-fixe New Year's menu was one of the worst pieces of meat that I have had in a while. I was disappointed, as I often tell my friends about this place. I felt that I had wasted my money and should have gone elsewhere.
We went for a special New year's Eve menu and it was delicious.
The staff and food was amazing! Would definitely recommend to a friend!
Stanza is outstanding. Great food, drinks and wine. We will be back.
The waiter, Brent, was really outstanding. The food was fresh and the taste was excellent.
