Such a professional staff starting with the host and hostess. Great wait staff supporting each other so customers well attended to. Delicious cocktails and dinners. Main server, Alex, was top notch. Perfectly attentive and giving us space to catch up with dear friends. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Great restaurant!

This was our second and unfortunately our last time visiting Stanford Grill. Service was terrible and we felt rush as our dinner came out right after our appetizers. Asked about a to go order and the waitress never followed up with our questions. We were never asked if we would like another drink…. Disappointing because our first time there was excellent…. We would rather spend our money elsewhere 😞

Great experience and the service is always fantastic. I highly recommend the ribs which are a true full slab! And if you are a key lime pie fan theirs will not dissappoint. Many other good choices on the menu but going with the most recent. Definitley worth a stop. Oh and some nice live music in the lounge.

I ordered the fish of the day, and it was very thin with not much fish. I had several bones. The asparagus was overly buttered. My wife ordered the chicken, which is their specialty. The chicken had a good flavor but not worth the price of $23. The sides were cold and they did bring out another set of sides when she complained. When I made the reservation I did indicated that we’re celebrating our anniversary. They didn’t do anything for us. I’m not sure what was the purpose of saying that it was for a special occasion. We’ve been spoiled by other places.

The staff assisted me in having a wonderful evening with my date, there was no need to ask for anything. If there was a low water, it was filled, the wine glasses were refilled without us even noticing. The food was excellent, and the seating had us looking out onto a wonderful patio. I will be back again and am not worried about my evening.

My mother and I enjoyed our meal. Olivia was an attentive and helpful waitress. The mood was festive because it was Mother’s Day. Though the restaurant was full, it was orderly and everyone appeared to get served quickly. We did yet we weren’t rushed. We chose to return to the restaurant after dining their on other recent special occasions.

We have been here many times, but this time the food was less than exceptional. My filet oscar was not the cut of meat I expected and the crab cake had fallen apart before it got to the table. The spinach omelet one of our party had was described as bland. The bread pudding was just ordinary, usually it is excellent. The service as always was exceptional. Overall the experience was just mediocre, where it usually is special.

They weren’t accommodating when asked for different seats. I had a reservation and there were multiple booths open without anyone else in the waiting area. I was told I’d have to wait an additional 45 minutes. Since I had a reservation, they could have sat whoever came in next in the seats we would have left open. Seemed to be completely biased.

Our first time at Stanford Grill Columbia. First the server Tish was very personable and very efficient. Kristin (mgmnt?) was overseeing everything and was very friendly and informative. We loved the ambience and the gentle sounds of a live jazz trio provided a nice backdrop. Then came the best: Awesome food. Their speciality Ribs were massive number, meaty and delicious. Same with my Trout fillet! Topped off with a gigantic brownie-ice cream desert.

Four of us had lunch on the Saturday before Mother’s Day at noon when SG opened. The restaurant was about 30% full. One of the group ordered Steak Medium. The filet came blue and bloody rare, not medium, not even rare. The diner intensely dislikes rare meat so his expensive meal was a bust. The waiter uttered a mild “oh, sorry”. I have been in diners and chains where that sort of complaint prompted at least a manager visit and apology. By this time as we were leaving. the restaurant was about 50-60% full so “too busy” for good service was not an excuse. I paid nearly $200 including tip for four lunches. Not happy with my otherwise favorite Columbia restaurant.

This restaurant has a core number of go to dishes and all of them are very good. My wife ventured off the menu and selected the Halibut special and she was not disappointed. My prime rib was a bit too rare and yes, I understand prime rib should be rare, but a quick seer and it was perfect. The live jazz trio add something other restaurants do not offer in the area.
