Perfect for a romantic and traditional Thanksgiving Dinner without too much fuss.
Thanksgiving dinner was delicious prix fixe. The ambience was very nice !
With many restaurants closed on Thanksgiving Day and us staying at an inn, we scrambled to find someplace interesting and special for our holiday dinner. The Stagecoach Tavern was definitely that. What a memorable experience! Ambiance and history abound. Attentive service and excellent dinner.
What a warm welcome on a brisk Thanksgiving Day!
Our private spot even had comfy chairs by the fireplace!
Food was superb, and we’ve never had pumpkin THAT good. Thanks to all at the Race Brook Lodge - you made our holiday memorable.
Service was excellent. Amazing private dining experience and beautiful, cozy ambiance. In terms of the food, we were most impressed with the eggs benedict and rum pumpkin soup for brunch and the seafood paella for dinner. Cocktails were disappointing but the wine list was great.
Fine dining with a rustic ambiance. Incredible experience would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys quality food and a lovely dining experience.
Amazing atmosphere and wonderful options from a short but thoughtful menu. This was our first visit but we're already looking forward to the next time.
The menu is seasonal and limited. However, each of the choices seemed awesome. We had the halibut and beef rib entrees. Both were outstanding.
Excellent. We had the 6-course tasting menu with wine pairings. Highly recommend it.
Cool vibe. Very historic. Wonderful brunch and wonderful service!
We had the tasting menu experience. Romantic atmosphere, w/ great service and food was amazing.
While the food was very good it was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. It took almost two hours for our entrees to arrive. Nobody came to explain the delay. Waiters avoided us during the wait. We will never return.
Absolutely a home run
A+ across the board. Excellent food, great service from interesting people, comfortable atmosphere, beautiful location.
We’ve been here several times but this was our best experience- the food was delicious and the service was excellent. We were there with friends from NYC and they also loved it. A lovely evening.
Beautiful, magical spot for a romantic dinner with an exceptional and artistic menu.
Love this place & hadn’t been in a long time. Love the covid updates! Curtains in most areas to create your own private room. Really cozy, homey, relaxing, & excellent food & service, as always! Prices are high, but worth it. Wonderful place to celebrate my birthday. We even hiked the nearby trails after to enjoy the surroundings. We may have started a birthday tradition.
The host was warm and very helpful. He enabled us to sit outside on a beautiful day, even moving the table into the shade to accommodate us. The food was excellent, and so was the service, which was concerned, accomodating and unobtrusive.
We are not only planning to recommend this restaurant to friends, but have already scheduled a return visit, this time for dinner.
Excellent as usual, but with a new menu that is outstanding.
The salad and the salmon were outstanding 😀
Great food, wonderful ambiance - and they’ve created charming private dining spaces due to the pandemic which makes it feel even more special - we love dining here!
Lovely date night with a dining room to ourselves. Slightly disappointed with the limited menu. I’m vegetarian and tired of mushrooms and pasta even though they were very nice. It’s summer with tons of amazing locally grown vegetables available and wish I had more options.
Post pandemic "new normal" done right. Every element and detail needs to be experienced as words would fail to adequately express what you will find. A true delight of the scenes.
Cool setting and delicious Berkshire food.
As you sit in an 18th Century Stagecoach Inn, you enjoy food that hasn't traveled far to get to your plate, and beautifully prepared too.
This is our second time dinning here for one of there Tasting Menu's. They have delivered another wonderful experience
So great to be back at the place my great great's horse and buggied to :)
great people, great vibe
A very memorable brunch for all of us for a special birthday. It was just so beautifully presented and scrumptious. Thank-you !
Great food, amazing atmosphere, and excellent service!
Stagecoach Tavern is an undiscovered gem and we always enjoy dining here when we are in the Berkshires in August. It has become a great family dinner ritual for us! We just love the quirky vibe, the sincere and soulful service and the entire experience. Really appreciating them staying open during hard times!
The waiter was a very nice guy--very helpful. Yet it took him a very long time to take our order and it seemed to take a long time for each item to arrive. Do not expect bread or anything on the table to nibble on with you wine or other while you await the first course. I kept hoping to be offered something...hope was not met. The Salad Verana was very good but the portion size was quite small. Same for the Paella Americana. It was a dish I split with my companion and, based on past experience ordering Paella, thought there would be enough. Not this time. It was a very small portion, actually not even quite enough for one person, let alone two and while it was really very good, there just wasn't very much of it offered on the plate. We ordered both desserts and the Panna Cotta was nice, creamy, and of a good consistency. The Lavender Creme Bruleé looked delicious, had some blueberries and a split fig on top (very nice) but was runny. It was not the best CB I have had. The price for two of us (each with one glass of wine) was $99 and that was splitting the salad and the main course! Price should have been closer to $60-70 for the portion sizes. Kids were playing in the hallway outside where our table was and it was noisy. Ambiance was "rustic" to put it diplomatically but that is a hallmark of this Inn and restaurant so I can't fault them for that. Would I return for another dinner? No. It just was not worth the money even though the food, itself, was quite good.
Lots of rustic charm, plus a great
enclosed patio. Plenty of ambiance.
Menu has unusual selections compared to other restaurants but it’s very good.
We returned a second time during our stay.
Always a wonderful dining experience
We experienced the preset menu and were absolutely pleased with each and every course! The chef, the manager, the server were attentive and extraordinary. Highly recommend the wine pairing as each selection married with the course enhanced the flavors.
Will be back, will recommend and will have a wonderful memory!
Food gets 5 stars for Flavor, presentation and creativity. However, portion size is very small, and you could find yourself wishing they portions were much larger. A little heavy on the salt shaker for our taste, but overall a winner. The ambiance and the quaint country inn feeling is all there, so definitely worthy of a try.
Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food and drinks. The food portion was a little underwhelming in the serving size, so half of the group shared and left somewhat hungry.
We brought out of town friends.
The 4 of us really enjoyed our dinner from
a nice selection of menu options.
The Gazpacho was VERY good.
disappointing !! - restaurant needs good scrub - furniture run down - old - sticky , bldg needs repairs / update
First of all the place is adorable. You are seated in your own living room/dining room. It is beautifully appointed and the music is great background music.Every person at our table loved their meal but the ceviche and the fish and chips were exceptional. We didn’t have dessert only because we didn’t leave a Morsel on our plate. Highly recommend and wish we went there sooner. Chef please give us the ceviche recipe!
The best ambiance in the Berkshires. You feel like you stepped back in time. Wonderful food! We had the zucchini and radish salad, the chicken milanese and the tavern burger. All were wonderful, as was our server. Delicious cocktails too!
