Part wine bar, part restaurant, a city centre venue with a city centre buzz. St. Vincent is an after-work drinks spot, supper-with-friends place and general 'snack-with-a-glass-or-two' hang out with a big-hearted 'everybody welcome' attitude.

Inspired by the neighbourhood bars we've found on our travels through France and Italy, we offer interesting wines, charcuterie and crowd pleasing plates full of punchy flavours. We're a place where an hour spins into several without anyone noticing.

Open evenings Tuesday to Friday, all day Saturday and close late.

We had a mind blowingly good meal last night. Everything tasted amazing. The service was brilliant and the wine list superb.

The food and service is always first class. It’s a great place to visit as the ambience is fantastic with a great selection of dishes to meet anyone’s taste. We will definitely be back.

Average, overpriced. Staff couldn’t find my reservation. Lack of attention to detail from the kitchen. Focaccia slightly burnt. Gristle in the bombola. Alcohol not sufficiently cooked off from white port in scallops. Crispy courgettes heavily over seasoned. Monk fish almost on the turn and becoming pongy. Nothing to truly complain about but not brilliant in any way. Staff were confused and detached. Some very good ideas, but inexpertly executed for the price — £155. A restaurant punching above its weight. Too many mistakes. Would not recommend or return.

St Vincent’s is a fabulous restaurant. Matt, Emma and the team make you feel so welcome and the food is outstanding- the chefs really go the extra mile to accommodate any requests- they were even able to cook half a T bone well done and the other half rare! I am never disappointed there and absolutely love everything about it. Thank you again for another fantastic meal.

The restaurant has a lovely relaxed feel to it, busy but not too noisy you can have a conversation. No music playing in the background was a big plus. The food was excellent, particularly the Shetland Scallops and the Roast Cod Head; the sauce with the cod was superb. The wine we had with the meal was recommended by our waitress (Eve) who was friendly, attentive and helpful all evening. I couldn't fault the service from all the staff. We look forward to our next visit to Newcastle so we visit St Vincent again.

My favourite restaurant in Newcastle - I’ve been a loyal customer for many years. St Vincent’s has the full package. The food is exceptional, and the restaurant is welcoming. More than this the staff are considerate, knowledgable and go out of their way to make the dining experience as good as it can be. The scallops and T-bone steak were cooked perfectly - can’t wait to go back soon :)

We had fabulous pre theatre meal. We had the vegan set menu and it was delicious. The standout courses for us were the olive, pasta and meringue with strawberries. Service was excellent.

Excellent meal and outstanding service. Pre-theatre but equally good on non-fixed price menu. Great wine selection. Still the best fish restaurant in town.
