St. Tropez Wine Bar
Food is always amazing, quick and excellent service, great wine selection.
One of my favorite restaurant in the city. The service is very personal and attentive. The food is always spot on. And I heard they will have a hard liquor license very soon. The best way to start a meal at st Tropez is pastis first.
Perfect! Great food as usual and great service!
It was perfect for a first date
Great as usual!
The service was amazing, one of the best, very attentive without being intrusive and the food came out very quickly. The food was very delicious and on point. It’s a crowded space like all things Village wise but regardless we were comfortable and had a great time
My date told the hostess that he was there and I was running late so they gave out table away. We got seated at the window bar area but it took a waiter a very long time to us. Once we got his attention it went ok from there and the food was excellent.
St Tropez is a go-to for us. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars overall is because they ran out of a few items on the menu the evening we dined.
Consistent excellent quality food. Great service - Lucie! And great atmosphere. West Village gem.
Food was good, service was excellent. However, at 7 pm on a Wednesday the noise level was uncomfortably loud. If things weren't so cramped and loud, we'd probably put St. Tropez among the neighborhood restaurants we regularly visit.
Great food and service. Only downside is that the tables are pretty close together and it’s a tight fit once all the tables are full.
This is now my favorite restaurant in the West village. By now, I've had practically every dish on the menu, and each is more delicious than the next. Our server, Angel, was very knowledgeable and friendly and helpful. I try to go at least once a week.
I went to St. Tropez for the first time, and had an amazing meal. The kale salad was excellent, and the scallops with mashed sweet potatoes were outstanding. The brioche dessert was the perfect way to end the dinner. The service was absolutely wonderful. The spice is a little tight, but worth it for the quality of the food and the value. (Much less expensive than most West Village restaurants.
My absolute favorite restaurant in the West Village. I've had practically everything on the menu, and it is all delicious.
Fantastic as always. Food exceptional value. Just one thing on service. I hate as most of us do when entree’s are brought out before your done with appetizer. This is exactly what happened. Will be back anyway.
Very loud, food mediocre
Absolutely wonderful! Delicious food, great service and lovely ambiance. Will be back!
Food and service are always wonderful here. One of the best places in the West Village.
Great second time dining here
Cozy, delish, great wines... perfect low key neighborhood spot for anytime
i love to go to St Tropez and bring my own wine - the fee is reasonable and the service is always amazing!
Noise level a bit loud but food was outstanding as was the wine
St. Tropez was very accommodating of our large party. The prix fixe menu is a great deal and I would definitely recommend.
Great octopus and shrimp dishes. Will not return because the noise made conversation impossible.
Our booking was not ready by the time we arrived. We were told there were no seating available. The restaurant was far too loud. This was a special occasion for my partner and I and it was embarrassing that the experience was not what we expected.
It was our anniversary. The staff was amazing great food and wine
Great wait staff!!
Fantastic service, super friendly and kind. Loved the grilled shrimps and the salmon. I will be back very soon.
Four of us had dinner here - everything was delicious. Especially outstanding were the scallops and salmon. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Will be back soon.
The staff was very friendly and made our time there very enjoyable. Extra thanks for modifying our reservation time due to a guest driving in from the suburbs who was running late. The food was amazing and I look forward to coming back soon!
Great west village neighborhood spot. You won’t beat the value anywhere else in the area. Excellent service and great wine selection. The food was very good, but I wouldn’t classify it as exceptional. We had the chicken, branzino and hummus
The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. My reason for the lower rating stems from the food quality and noise factor. It is a very close knit space so the volume is energetic but a little too loud for my liking. It is not a place to go if you want to carry a conversation, but the decor is very nice and romantic. The food is a miss for me though. While the branzino, pork belly appetizer and shrimp appetizer sauce was very yummy, the rest of the dishes (beef stew, truffle mac and cheese, and hanger steak) were not good. Either too bland or too salty. The wine was good though, so I think this is a place for people to come for a drink and some appetizers.
Great spot for 2 people, not too loud especially on a weeknight and great wine and good sharing plates.
Always great food, service and atmosphere! Good date night spot or for a group of friends.
Nice restaurant with a great selection of wine and knowledgeable service to combine the right wine to the occasion and food selection.
We arrived on time for our 06:30 reservation and promptly ordered a bottle of champagne. 25 minutes later we still had not recevied our drinks and the maitre'd came to tell us we had to finish by 08:00 as there was a large party arriving...... we had been waiting for drinks for 30 minutes and are now being told that we had to leave in an hour. The server still had not even come to take our meal order...... we placed our order and the server brought the appetizers and main dishes all at the sames time as he was also under pressure to get us out as sooon as possible. We drank our bottle, and finished our food quickly so that we could vacate the table by 08:00 without any sort of word of thanks from the maitre'd.
If we were a walk-in and were told that we had to leave by 08:00Ii can understand, but for them to accept a reservation and while waiting for the drinks to tell us we had an hour left...... this is not acceptable.
Don't go to St Tropez if you want to relax over a glass of wine and have a liesurely meal as the maitre'd might decide she wants to give the table away before you get your drinks.
Ate here tonight with another couple and had such a wonderful experience. I knew it was going to be a good night when I asked out server her name and in return she asked us ours and then called us by name all night. Lucy was truly an outstanding server; drinks came out almost instantaneously, she recommended perfect wines for both me and my husband, she was so attentive all night, and just an adorable human!! Oh.. the food? Just delicious. The mussels were tender and floating in an almost creamy sauce. My husband’s lamb shank melted in your mouth. And my scallops over sweet potatoes will be what I order on my next visit! Such a great first visit.. can’t wait to come back!
A neighborhood gem with really good food and excellent service, all in a fantastic atmosphere. We really enjoyed our experience and went back again the night after for another drink and the fantastic chocolate mousse dessert. We’ll be back many times again...
Great food at reasonable prices
