St. Tropez - SOHO
They literally brought all 4 tapas/starters out at the same time, which is absurd. There wasn’t enough room on the table and we felt completely rushed! And even though they close at 1am, at 12:15 they walked over to us and told us they were closing at 12:30 so we’d need to go. There was NO need to do that at 12:15! Horrible customer service and zero smarts or common sense- we can get good food elsewhere so we will not be back!
First off, the staff was wonderful. From the hostess to our wait person, they were very attentive. We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely street scene. Our wait person made some great food recommendations. The food was all outstanding and beautifully presented. We were not rushed and as we were celebrating my friend's birthday, they brought out a sparkler to go with the delicious chocolate mousse and a complimentary glass of champagne for each of us. The salmon and cheese & meat plate were so delicious! We would definitely come back again.
We was celebrating my friend Birthday and had outside seating. Everything was fantastic , great cocktails , nice food, great service. We all had a great time:)
This is a modest place with a cheerful atmosphere, excellent food, reasonable prices (for wine, too), and overall goo value. I recommend it highly.
Fabulous and delicious!
One of my favorite wine bars. Nice menu and wine list. Relaxing and welcoming place.
Great food and service! Highly recommended!
Attentive and friendly service. Food was excellent. Highly recommend!
Food was incredible and ambiance was quite casual/refreshing while still having charm. Will return!
My family and I had a wonderful time at St. Tropez Soho. The service was excellent and everything we ordered was outstanding. I will definitely be returning.
Louder than any other NY restaurant That I experienced.
The bistro seats were not stable and not very comfortable. We would have stayed longer and ordered other food items but did not like the chairs. Food was great though.
Great food and service
Cute. Non pretentious. Great location. Good food. Fresh. Not out of this world-just good. Accommodated group of nine-no problem. Even though we went with kids- it can also be a cute date place. Will go back
Nice place, good food
Easy to make weekday lunch reservations. Kevin, our waiter was very gracious. Great food presentation and taste.
We found a new gem in the neighborhood. We love it so much, went last Sunday. and took our out of town friends there tonight a week later. We enjoyed every dish we ordered; and that included 4 appetizers and 3 entrees and dessert. We love to eat. Cauliflower creamy soup with a touch of truffle was a fabulous delight. Beef meatballs, Grilled octopus, and mushroom flatbread just to start. Portions were generous and great presentations. For entree, we had Grilled Brazino and Wild scallops. and Rich not so sweet dark chocalte mousse for dessert.
Went back tonight. and they did a surprise modification for Grilled Octopus and Wild Scallops for even better taste (it was delicious the first time we ordered it, after the change, we love it even more).
Definitely give it a try, you will not be disappointed!!! Service was very attentive!!
Great fun. Lovely, cute spot. Was a bit loud and frenetic, but it was a busy night. Would definitely go back.
It's still new so I can cut it some slack (but not too much as it's a second location.) The starters were all good, as was the very spice tartare. The mains were disappointing except for the lamb shank which is priced 50% higher than all of the others. Presentation needs some improvement as the eggplant, branzino and (flavorless) chicken are indistinguishable from one another by eye. Service, while sincere, is not the best organized. The restaurant called me while I was eating to see if I was going to keep my reservation!
First time and it was lovely. Had a delicious meal before show at SoHo Playhouse which is just a couple of blocks away. Nice ambience, staff efficient and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back.
Great spot for great food and definitely a great hangout place. Food quality is exactly the same for both locations (SoHo & West Village). The wines are great (with a huge selection) and I absolutely love the wine flight concept! Haven’t seen it done for wines before. Food prices are not crazy expensive.
Here are the must have dishes for me for dinner...
- Hummus de Betterave (Beet Hummus),
- Crevettes à l’Aïoli (Grilled shrimp),
- Pieuvre Grillée (Grilled octopus)
- Daube Provençale (Beef stew),
- Truffle Mac N Cheese
- Flank steak
- Panna Cotta
Looking forward to going back again to try other dishes on the menu!
St. Tropez is a great place to have in the neighborhood. While wine bars are a bit trendy at the moment, neither the food nor the wine selections are wow! All good, all solid, but nothing particularly special.
One important tip for the owner -- if you are going to be a wine bar, please get better glassware. The cheap wine glasses truly detract from the experience.
Great atmosphere, amazing food and wines !
Perfect place to get an after work drink/dinner in soho
Get the pork belly and the shrimps
Perfect spot in soho.
Definitely a recommended spot! From the food to the wine list to the service! This place is a perfect addition to the village. Scallops are amazing ;)!
Amazing place, great French food and wine selection.
Great experience overall. We had a lovely brunch with good food and wine as well as an attentive service. Definitely a good place for brunch. I will be back.
Food was amazing and staff was very attentive and friendly. Will be back for sure.
