   Here is my review of Saint Patrick's Steakhouse in Dolton Illinois. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed this place and everyone in my party enjoyed themselves as well as their food and drinks! Let's start with the decor. The restaurant is decorated beautifully. They have lots of lounging areas with plush sofas and luxurious high back chairs. There are plenty of areas where you can sit in a living room type setting and enjoy a drink and a small bite. Their indoor rooftop dining area is perfect for lounging; having a drink and enjoying some small bites. The view was nice! Was it a lakefront view of yellow houses with white picket fences? No. But it was a view of my neighborhood. A neighborhood filled with my people. A neighborhood of hard-working people. A neighborhood of families. I saw businesses thriving. I saw traffic driving. I saw people walking down the street talking and laughing with each other. I saw peace and togetherness. And that's the type of view that I enjoy! I've heard a lot of complaints about the service here. We had no problems with our service. We were greeted immediately! And I mean as soon as we walked in the door off the street. As we took the elevator up to the floor where we were dining we were also immediately greeted. Our reservation was honored and we were sat on time. Our waitress was at our table within 10 minutes to greet us. It did take a little longer than usual for the appetizers to arrive. But we didn't mind because we were having good conversation and enjoying our drinks. And they let you know that certain items may take longer than expected. Much appreciated! Dinner arrived shortly after our appetizers. Drinks were good! Food was excellent! The presentation is on point! Everyone enjoyed their meal. No one had any complaints. The portions are huge! And the food came out at the perfect temperature. This next one is not so much a negative as it is a suggestion. You cannot call yourself a top class Steakhouse and you do no

Many of our Patrons don't drink Vodka so we carry a limited selection, we do have more selections on the rooftop level.

   It’s important to note that I read plenty reviews before booking my reservation. It is safe to say that the establishment must have read and addressed the concerns because I had an amazing experience at St. Patrick’s. My reservation was for 6:30pm, I arrived, my party and I were seated promptly, our server was amazing, the food arrived within a timely manner and was delicious. We had our leftovers boxed up and our check was at the table by 7:23pm. I would encourage all to go visit and see for yourself and if you’ve been during the soft opening I’d recommend going back! I will definitely patronize St. Patrick’s in the future.

   This is a new venue so this will be a very detailed review. I want to begin by thanking the GM Nicole, Mixologist Lyric, and my outstanding waitress Celeste. They made my experience memorable. To the owners of St. Patrick’s Steakhouse & Rooftop Bar: THANK YOU for bringing a truly remarkable dining experience to the Southlands. The venue is immaculate, warm, inviting and certainly spacious. Your staff, under your collective leadership, is welcoming, attentive, polite and exceedingly courteous without being intrusive and overbearing. Your chef is the star of this establishment because the food is breathtakingly delicious. I ordered an appetizer and entree, and the mixologist created a Blackberry Lemon-drop perfectly balanced cocktail. Appetizer—The Dean Martin Oyster Rockefeller. What an incredible dish comprised of Oysters baked to perfection with a rich blend of creamy spinach, garlic, parmesan, and herb infused butter. This is a show-stopping, indulgent masterpiece that pays tribute to classic decadence while raising the bar with a luxurious twist: bits of lobster and a large shrimp on top with a semi-sweet balsamic glaze drizzle. Each oyster arrives perfectly baked—tender, juicy, and delicate serving as the ideal vessel for the symphony of flavors that follows. Entree: The Frank Sinatra Lamb Chops hit all the right notes-classic, bold, and impeccably delivered. Despite the menu's insistence on medium-well or well-done, my order arrived as requested; a flawless medium-rare, showcasing a kitchen that knows when to bend the rules for excellence. Each of the five chops was char-grilled to perfection. Accompanying the lamb were mashed potatoes that deserve a standing ovation on their own. Velvety and luxurious, yet somehow light and silky, they offered a textural balance that's rarely achieved. Ignore the negative reviews of missteps during a soft opening!

   Wonderful ambiance. Wonderful staff. It's only been open for three weeks so my only complaint is, we had a 3:00 reservation and they didn't seat us until 4:00 because the kitchen was closed. FYI, brunch is from 11-3, kitchen is closed, from 3-4:00. How was I able to book a reservation for 3, if the kitchen was closed until 4:00?? Anyhow, I ordered the shrimp pasta and shrimp bisque soup and it was good! My friend ordered the 1/2 chicken and he said it was dry.

   We were there to celebrate a birthday. The birthday person wanted a steak medium well. To our surprise, our only choices were rare and well done. Well done steaks are usually dry. We were told by the cook and the manager that we could order the steak medium well. It came well done and dry. That was a disappointment. However, the salmon over potatoes were enjoyed and the braised shot ribs were delicious as well. The dessert menu had a nice selection, but only 2 items were available, we wanted red velvet cake that they didn't have, another disappointment. We loved the atmosphere and ambiance. The music was nice. And I like that we were able to watch the playoffs! Overall, St. Patrick's is a nice establishment with a great atmosphere. We were impressed with security and communications detailas well. We traveled all the way from Milwaukee and plan to visit again. Next time, St. Patrick's should have the food situation tweaked by then.

   Came from Kankakee, easy directions. The vibe was great, looks wonderful inside. Clean. We were seated promptly and greeted. Celeste (our waitress) was super cool. Seemed like she was happy to be at work 💪🏾. The food was a lil slow to come out, but it was cool and worth the wait. Drinks were cool, all around great experience.

   First time going here and I wanted to surprise my wife for her birthday with a new place we've never been. Had reservations for there on time, got seated and they let us sit there for over 30 min before anyone came to our table and it was only to bring water mond you the whole time we're there nobody ever came to our table and said one word not even the lady who gave us the water.we waited patiently for for another 20 min and no one still never came to the table or said anything so we left they watch red d us leave and still didn't say anything. Totally a waste of time and I will never go back ever! The worst experience dining out in my 40 years on earth 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾 also I watched other people get up and leave as well!

   Thank you for your feedback, and please accept our sincerest apologies for your recent experience. We understand how frustrating it must have been, especially on such an important occasion. St. Patrick’s Place has only been open for 18 days, and while our launch has had some challenges, we want to be transparent about who we are. We made a conscious decision to offer opportunities to young Black men and women — many of whom are entering the workforce for the first time and may not have prior experience in hospitality. While not many restaurants would take that chance, it’s something we are incredibly proud of. Our mission goes beyond great food and ambiance — it’s about building a pipeline of future chefs, servers, and managers from within our own community.
