St Marys Seafood & More
The bartenders were the best ever. Give those girls a raise! Really enjoyed our time there
Staff was friendly and professional. Food was good and seating was nice.
Nice atmosphere. Excellent appetizers. Friendly staff. A very nice place to gather with friends to meet up and enjoy. Would return.
We are from Ponte Vedra and were looking for a place to meet up with friends who were traveling north on I 95, and wanted someplace close to the freeway. Didn’t know anything about the restaurant but picked it for its location. We were so pleasantly surprised! Our hostess was so gracious and accommodating, and our server Emily was outstanding. The food was great and so were the drinks. The bartender came over to our table to make sure my drink was good. The staff embodies southern hospitality. We all agreed that this would be our meeting place from now on! And I hear that another location will open soon in Jacksonville. Hurray!
Parking was difficult as it was packed, but worth the wait and effort. I recommend the platter for two
Food and service were excellent!! Would highly recommend the salmon.
Even though we had a reservation we were asked to wait. The manager did get involved and straighten it out however. Post this didn’t seem to understand that we had a reservation
Place was busy on a Friday night. Used open table to secure a spot. Hostess acknowledged reservation but we still waited 15 minutes plus. Sat at bar to wait which was crowded. Bartender was new and it was a bit hectic. She was very patient with customers and stayed focused. Will our server was good. He was kind of quiet which was hard to hear in the noisy atmosphere but he did fine. Maybe some separation for booths to help with noise. Food hall experience not my first choice but food is usually good. Could have better ambiance.
This has been my go to place since it opened. Today was a disappointment. I always order the hot peel and eat shrimp and green beans and it has always been delicious, but today the shrimp were barely lukewarm and soggy and the green beans tasteless. I will give them another chance but another meal like this and I will be looking for another local restaurant.
Good food and service. We will go back.
The service was fabulous but I found it a little overpriced as the food seemed frozen and not fresh. I kinda expect a seafood restaurant in Florida to have fresher seafood and not tiny frozen shrimp and scallops.
Good food, good service and very affordable. Enjoyed my experience.
Very very good! Portions were huge !
Lightly battered and lightly fried oysters and shrimp, and peel and eat shrimp all excellent.
Absolutely LOVE going there! The food is great! Service impeccable!
Family Christmas get together. Always good food!!!
Good food and good value. Great service!! Half the price as pricy downtown places and food just as good. Recommend the Gator Bites!
We enjoyed St. Mary's Seafood on Saturday evening. The restaurant was crowded when we arrived but we were seated promptly at the time of our reservation. Our server greeted us promptly and took our order without delay. The food arrived quickly and was well prepared and correct to our order. The cuisine is as the name implies southern seafood - not fancy but tasty and filling. The ambiance was functional but not inviting or inspiring - lots of bustle and noise. Our dinner here was good but not memorable. Service was great and was definitely the best part of our experience.
We had our first meal at St. Mary's Seafood the other night. My husband had their catfish and I had the crab cakes. We each ordered a premium side of grid green tomatoes. Everything was excellent. Our server was very knowledgeable and efficient. We will definitely be going back to St. Mary's again!
This is a local seafood place offering fried and grilled seafood. I had the 2-combo seafood plate and for a small upcharge ($3), I was able to get grilled salmon and grilled scallops. There was enough fish for 2 people and I had 12 sea scallops. The meal was lightly seasoned and very delicious. I also had the stuffed potato and the the corn nugget appetizer, followed by a piece of creme brulee cheesecake that was shared by all three of us. There was so much food I couldn't finish anything. It was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was fast, friendly and efficient. I wish we had a place like this near my hometown.
Great place for a nice family dinner, food portions are large. Nice big menu with lots of choices. Very friendly staff, we will be back!
Very enjoyable. Loved the raw oysters and the fried shrimp
Very disappointed in this restaurant which had been recommended by resort where we were staying. My corn and shrimp chowder was good as was boom boom shrimp appetizer. Fried oyster dinner was ok, but sides were terrible - green beans were gray and over cooked, and a creamed corn and bacon side was inedible. Baked potatoes were under-cooked. Husband had blackened flounder which he said was good. Manager stopped at table to ask how dinner was and we expressed our dislike of sides. Even though our dinner plates had been cleared, he asked if he could bring us something else. Somehow new sides without a dinner doesn’t make sense! The offer of a dessert on the house would have been a better gesture.
Always good food (in abundance) and service. Hands on management.
Recommended by front desk at World Golf Resort. Located nearby. Very good overall.
Good variety of choices on menu. Not thrilled with having to pay up charges to get what I wanted. Food was good, service quick. No problems.
Dinners were good. This was second visit. big disappointment in calamari appetizer. Obviously frozen. Very scrawny looking. Should have sent it back.
Good food and service would go back next
Time we are in the area
This restaurant was recommended to me by an out of town friend and turned out to be almost an hour away from home. We (my husband and I and his brother and sister in law) made the drive to try it on a pleasant but hot Friday evening. We sat inside as it was too hot to sit outside on their very nice patio. The tables and chairs inside were comfortable and well spaced. The noise level was fine...you could hear your neighbors conversation but not easily. As for the food, the salad bar was small but very fresh and the appetizer section is extensive. The menu offers beef and chicken entrees but is, as expected, mostly seafood. The men both had broiled scallops, I had seafood pasta (fetticini alfredo with crab and shrimp) and my sister in law the coconut shrimp dinner. All four of the dinners were generously sized and very tasty and the prices were reasonable. Unfortunately none of us had enough room left to sample any of the luscious sounding desserts which included a creme brulee cheesecake (one of my favorites). We would gladly make the drive to visit St. Mary's Seafood a second time and highly recommend this restaurant with reservations recommended since, by the time we left at about 7:15 p.m., there appeared to be a formidable waiting line to get in.
Always good food and service with personal attention from the owners.
Always enjoy eating a St Mary’s! Service, food, and management is great!
The atmosphere was very nice. The food was OK at best. My daughter loved her hamburger. The catfish I had was not fried good. It was very wet. I asked for it to be fried hard. My husband had seafood pasta. He said it was good. But to me it was just shrimp Alfredo pasta. I am from Ms we fry squash every day. The fried squash was horrible!
It's a great place to eat for lunch or dinner. Also a good place to stop before the IMAX or after!
Sat outside on the deck overlooking the pond. So peaceful. Great food, reasonably priced.
I went with a group of 6, our waitress was very good and helpful with menu selections.
The food was good all of our dinners were prepared with great care. We enjoyed
the lite option for those of us that don't like a large plate of food. Everything was delicious.
We will definitely be back.
Our server, Alexa was great. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was very attentive. The food was good and there was lots of it. Great value for the price. The salad bar is an added bonus! Will definitely return.
They stumbled at first with our seating. We were 5 persons at 5 o'clock and there were plenty of tables available both when we arrived and when we departed that would accommodate that size group but the person who seated us tried to cram us onto a 4 person table. A second employee, with no prompting from us, saved the day by putting 2 x 4 person tables together and invited us to spread out. The food was fresh and well prepared and service was good after the initial seating.
Although, they did not have the table setup we requested and reserved. Are party of 10 enjoyed themselves.
