St. John's Restaurant
Great dinner for our anniversary. Food is always great as well as the service and wine.
Wonderful dinner! Even personalized our menus to wish me happy birthday!
Our time at St. John's was enjoyable. Everything was spot on; though, if I had one complaint it would be the hostess, she seemed bothered by our existence but she may have been having a rough day. I cannot sing enough praises about our waiter, I believe the check said his name was Joe?; he was superb and made the experience from great to wonderful. He went above and beyond to give us a fine dining experience. The food was cooked perfectly to temperature and the taste was divine.
St John’s was a fantastic date night spot. My husband and I were looking for some place romantic and this exceeded our expectations. The food was phenomenal and we look forward to coming back when we need a specialty date night.
Great soft shell crab. Excellent service.
I can’t remember the name of my server but he was remarkable!
Well worth the money. Most full-of-flavor, delicious meal I’ve ever had - all courses right down to the bread and butter. Fantastic across the board. Supreme service. Can’t wait to go back.
Everything was outstanding from start to finish!
Fantastic food and service, highly recommend
Phenomenal meal....St. John's was at the top of their game....will return soon for the soft shell crab
We came to visit from Atlanta and wanted the quality of food we were used to from high end restaurants, this DID NOT DISAPPOINT! From the apps to the dessert we were thoroughly pleased! Highly recommend the shrimp pimento crackers, odd but mind blowing, also our waiter was very helpful swapping out proteins to pair with the side dishes from another entree that I just had to try! They made our anniversary very special!
Great bar and restaurant - excellent service and nice meeting the owner to discuss restaurant's history and partners that related to Nashville (i.e. 5th and Taylor). Look forward to a return trip.
As always very good
service was great, food was excellent and the atmosphere was awesome.
Put this place on your don't miss list. It's my favorite restaurant in Chattanooga, it never disappoints. Everything from the librations to dessert is first class. I can't come to Chatt without having dinner here. Ideal venue for business dinner, special celebration or date night.
My daughter and husband who live in Nashville had read about Chef Barron's nomination for the James Beard award and wanted to try the St. John's. The food was outstanding with the exception of the rather blah vegetarian pasta option. The halibut and scallops were perfectly cooked. My husband wanted the scallop first course for his entree; the waiter recommended doubling the order and pairing it with sides from the halibut main. Good recommendation! Son-in-law had filet and was pleased. The first course options were all interesting and delicious - Brussels sprouts salad sans the Benton bacon, cauliflower and lobster soup, roasted beets salad and field salad were all polished off. Our waiter, Bryan, was informative, attentive without being intrusive, and very capable. The mouse dessert was a little surprising - too much fruit and jelly-like mixture on top of the chocolate mousse. Creme brulee also had this fruit concoction which did not add to the excellence of the creme brulee. Banana cream pudding was a hit. Bar was a little slow. All in all it was a lovely meal in very pleasant surroundings. Several years ago we had an unpleasant experience at the restaurant and hadn't been back since Ms. Barron took over so we are happy to add the St. John's back to our restaurant repertoire.
Great in every way!
Great food and great service. Greeted warmly right when we arrived. Had a 7:15 reservation, arrived at 7:10, and was seated immediately. Would definitely go here again. Joe did an amazing job with our service. Thanks for a great dinner!
The cauliflower soup and beet salad were incredible, both bursting with flavor.
Entrees were also very good, flavorful, and wel presented. Wife had the duck and I had the veal chop.
We were perfectly happy!
Great experience and the food was excellent!
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent!
As always great food. Service was very slooooooooooow. Like all restaurants now days they seem to think customers want it noisy. But overall a nice experience.
As usual everything was delicious. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
Such a great meal! Misty is wonderful as usual and Reed is one amazing chef!!! We love this place!
Everything was delicious and beautiful! The beet salad was extra special!
Great, creatively prepared food. Wonderful service.
Food and service was excellent. We were a party of 7 in the same room with a large party. It was so loud we had a difficult time talking to each other. The room had bad acoustics and sounds just echoed. We would’ve enjoyed it so much more had we been able to hear each other.
My wife & I were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and the staff made it a very memorable occasion because of all the special attention.
Great experience! The staff had our table prepared and waiting, even with a "Happy Birthday" menu for my wife! Everyone was very helpful and John was very knowledgeable as our server. And, as always the food was outstanding! Best food in Chattanooga!
Everything was wonderful. However I have personal issues with paying those prices. I had a $100 gift certificate. Which eased the pain
St John's restaurant is 5 star in every way. We were spending the weekend in Chattanooga and plan on revisiting St John's upon our return. This is a must "go to" restaurant for locals and visitors. The building is fantastic, the staff knowledgeable and solicitous and the food excellent and beautifully plated. All to be expected when the head chef is a James Beard recipient. Thank you all for a wonderful dining experience.
Best food experience in Chattanooga - wish my wallet allowed weekly visits!
Celebrated my mother’s birthday and had the best time. Great service! It was our first time there and will definitely return!
Lovely ambiance with excellent food. Great place for a celebration of old friends.
From hello when we entered to goodbyes on the way out, everything was top notch.
Our first time in Chattanooga, and this was a real delight. I had creamy cauliflower soup with tender lobster pieces, followed by a perfectly cooked trout. My husband started with Brussels sprouts and an antelope steak. Martini was precisely as I asked for it, and excellent wine selection. We hope to return!
Out favorite place to eat by far. The food is always amazing.
Outstanding!! From being greeted by the hostess through service of all three courses, along with superb food quality, cocktails and wine selection. Kudos!!
Overall the restaurant was very nice. The antelope was wonderful. The touted sea bass unfortunately was terrible.
Amazing food, amazing service!! I don’t ever do reviews but this place is worth it!
