About
Our reservation was for 6p on Tuesday evening. They were not at full capacity, but it was early and on a week night. I'm sure it is crowded on a weekend.
Our food was amazing. Our waiter was fantastic. It was so nice to have a valet.
I will be back again.
Great environment and exceptional food! Will visit again!
We have been to St. Johns many times and have never been disappointed.
In my opinion, St. John’s Restaurant is the best restaurant in the Chattanooga area. The service is always impeccable. The host/hostess always notices if I am wearing black and will give me a black napkin without my asking for one. Food preparation is imaginative and excellent. This food is of the highest quality and always delicious. I have never been disappointed in a meal there and would recommend it highly.
Overall a very good dining experience. Felt the menu could have included a few more light dishes. Very meat oriented, well prepared but really struggled with making a selection. Not their fault. Would definitely enjoy eating there again but would pull up the menu beforehand.
Great place
This was a delicious and well-priced high scale restaurant. My fiance and I had a incredible evening. We started off with the shrimp crackers, oyster shooters, and the pork belly. I ordered the duck and he ordered the pork entree. We had banana pudding and PB bombe for dessert. I cant say one bad thing about any we ordered. I would 100% recommend to others.
Wonderful experience. The bread alone is worth the trip in.
Impeccable service, amazing food- always a pleasure.
If I ever feel like having dinner for a special occasion and expecting nothing less than excellence from entry to exit, I go to St.Johns. Food is always amazing and the service is unmatched. Well worth the price .
Excellent food (thanks Chef Rebecca) - delicious, beautiful, interesting, lots of interesting flavors, ... - and excellent service (thanks Shannon) - always close and attentive but never obtrusive. A bit pricey but it was a real treat! We will certainly be back!
We came to Chattanooga for my husband’s birthday and celebrated at St Johns. The food was memorable as was our server. They also have a fully stocked bar with inventive cocktails. Will definitely go again when we are next in town.
Great food, service, and ambiance!
St. John’s is our go-to place for celebrating over dinner! Always superb service and an amazing menu.
Got a bit loud when a large group came into the bar. Once the went to a private room it settled down. Food and service top notch.
Best restaurant in town. And it is not even close.
Best restaurant in Chattanooga! Love St John's as well as Meeting Place ( great cocktails and appetizers).Everyone raved about the meal and experience. It's worth a drive from Nashville just to have dinner. Our server,Katelyn, was awesome! Super attentive and helpful, and fun.
As always, great food and great service. We look forward to dining here every time we visit Chattanooga.
One of the top 4 best meals of my life. Highly recommend!
The Staff and General Manager made the evening special for my father-in-law’s birthday. We always feel special when we dine at St. John’s.
St. John did not disappoint. Right downtown Chattanooga in the revitalization area of King Street. I was there with business associates and everyone enjoyed the outstanding food offerings as well as craft beer and a wonderful Bourbon and wine selection. This would be great for an anniversary with the white linen service and great attentiveness by the staff. Wonderful!
Perfect for celebrating 30 year anniversary with friends. Food and service was amazing. Loud table a couple of tables away, but no fault of St John's.
We have dined at St John on multiple occasions. For the first time in over 20 years we had the honor of having my mother in law with us on Mothers Day, so we took her to the nicest place in town. As typical the food was outstanding . The service was exactly what you would expect from a 4 Star Restaurant. That said we were sat in this tiny little room just to the left of the entrance. There was a table of 4 to our right who were VERY loud. After about a half hour another table of 4 was sat right next to them and they happened to know each other. After that the noise level in that tiny room became intolerable. Others who had been seated but had not ordered, actually requested to be moved out of the room. These people belonged in the BAR not in a tiny room where people were trying to enjoy their own conversations. We will go back as it is not the restaurants fault but they should have noticed the noise level and the patrons need to learn fine dining etiquette or go to CHILI's....
A wonderful anniversary dinner with excellent service, fabulous food and attention to detail. We loved the extras - the beet salad compliments of the chef and a celebratory glass of champagne with dessert.
Our meal was outstanding. We had the Dungeness Crab Salad and then The Halibut. Our waiter was perfect, present just when he needed to be.
Fantastic experience! From the maître d’ to the manager everyone was wonderful. And the food was exquisite. Best Old fashion I’ve had in years.
We were very pleased with all of the food and the service. The atmosphere was wonderful
My husband and I couldn’t remember the last time that every aspect of a dining experience was amazing, until St. John’s. From each food course, to the ambiance, to our server and his banter with us, it was a perfect anniversary celebration that we will remember for years to come. Thank you!
We were dining with one guest with strict dietary restrictions, and accommodations were made without any trouble. The service, food, and overall environment was incredible and perfect for the occasion.
We went to St. John’s before the prom. It was a great atmosphere and great food. They even had a special prom menu available. My date and I really enjoyed the experience.
Excellent food and service. I enjoyed the trout. Kitchen missed putting morel mushrooms on my entree & server was quick in resolving the issue & went over the top in making our experience a good one. We will return.
Food was excellent. Setting seemed like old hotel lobby. Not the best. Wine served into a glass that had some astringency causing the wine to taste bad. Demonstrated issue. Was offered no new wine or anything. Desert drink sucked.
A wonderful dining experience. Everything we ordered was wonderful and the service was top notch.
Everything was fine until a group of 6 arrived and thought they owned the place, they were very loud and it seemed that they wanted to let everyone know how important they were, really nice until then.
My favorite restaurant in Chattanooga!
Never have I had anything that would not make your eyes roll back in your head.
Venison, risotto and olive tapenade. Wonderful!
Duck , amazing.
In fact whatever you order, it will probably be the best you ever had!
Great wine selection, service top Notch.
A must experience!
Great dinner for our anniversary. Food is always great as well as the service and wine.
Wonderful dinner! Even personalized our menus to wish me happy birthday!
Our time at St. John's was enjoyable. Everything was spot on; though, if I had one complaint it would be the hostess, she seemed bothered by our existence but she may have been having a rough day. I cannot sing enough praises about our waiter, I believe the check said his name was Joe?; he was superb and made the experience from great to wonderful. He went above and beyond to give us a fine dining experience. The food was cooked perfectly to temperature and the taste was divine.
