Service was a slow, but it appeared almost intentional? I noticed we were not the only ones with slowish service. Food was delicious, one of the best, if not the best food in Chattanooga.

Food and service was great. I should have requested not to be sat in the bar area... the sun beaming through the windows and bright white everything felt very “bankish”. Next time I’ll be sure to request a table in another part of the restaurant. Overall a great experience though. We’ll be back.

My friend's daughter recommended St. Johns and it did not disappoint. Lovely vegetarian options in addition to a nice selection of creative organic/local sourced dishes. The dessert was to die for...I'm going to attempt to recreate the basil ice cream.

We celebrated our anniversary here and were not disappointed. We started with the crwfish fritters (excellent) then had scallops, then my husband had the wagyu beef and brisket (he cleaned his plate) and I had the filet cooked to perfection. All of this with a bottle of wine, there was no room fir dessert, so we ordered the passion fruit chocolate cake to go. It was fabulous. I highly reccomend this restaurant.

A true 5 star restaurant! Food is wonderful and service from Shannon was outstanding. He is a real pro! The deviled eggs are a can't miss appetizer. We split the Caprese salad and highly recommend it. My wife had the fresh trout which was caught the same day! I had the Wagyu Beef and it was perfectly cooked with great flavor.

Our waiter Joe was among the friendliest yet most professional I’ve ever encountered. The seasonal starters, a tomato/squash/buffalo mozzarella plate, and an agnolotti, were both absurdly fresh and delicious. Wagyu beef was spectacular. My girlfriend’s chicken was moist and flavorful. The doughnut desert had fresh basil ice cream and was light but immensely tasty. Excellent wine list; we had a lovely white burgundy called Rully.

I’d recommend this all day long.

We were seated in the small dining room to the left of the hostess stand. I found it to be unusually loud, to the point of affecting my enjoyment. Also, I did not like my Waygu beef. I think it was prepared well, I just didn't care for it. All that said, St. Johns is most certainly the finest of dinning in the Chattanooga area. It's great for special occasions. The prices keep me from dining there more often.

An incredible meal at an elegant restaurant. One of the best steaks I have ever eaten! The portion sizes were large. We did not leave hungry. Service was very good despite the crowd. Heartily recommended.

This will be our local go to spot for special evenings. There is nothing “typical “about the offerings, no matter of which course you speak and to include the cocktails. Great, great food, great service and while a bit on the expensive side, so very glad we tried St. John’s and no matter what, try the beet salad.

Without a doubt the finest meal we have ever had. Our server was knowledgeable, personable, and his recommendations were spot on for us. Perfect ambiance for a very romantic dinner. Would we recommend St. John's to our friends...that would be an emphatic Yes! Well done St. John's Place, well done indeed.

The food was outstanding. The only problem we had, since we had to dine early because of our reservation, was the fading sunset through the sky lights that was almost blinding. Next time we'll make a reservation for the balcony.

It's rather expensive and make sure you have a reservation, especially if you have a group. The food is excellent and they will accommodate special dietary needs.

20 year anniversary. We were dissatisfied compared to previous years. We have spent more than half our 20 years always at the same window except one year. The only good was the window seat was secured on short notice. We unfortunately will stop the tradition after the past two years. Last year was a foul mouth patron beside us, I actually had to remind that his dinner conversation was inappropriate for mixed company and dinner. This year a very loud woman in the bar changed the ambiance we were hoping for. Thank you for asking.

Happy Anniversary greeted us on our menu. What a nice touch. Jenny, our waitress, was a true pleasure to work with. The food was incredibly good, but we knew it would be!!

My only criticism would be the seating against the wall. It sat so deeply that It felt like the table was too high for me. I don’t think I was alone. The gentleman sitting off to my right looked the same. Just an aesthetic comment.
