St. John's Restaurant
The food was incredible, and our server was wonderful. Super quick and attentive. The winter menu ravioli was to die for. And I was in love with the dark chocolate creme brûlée. Perfect anniversary dinner!
A wonderful experience. The food was outstanding as was the service.
We were four seniors...I'm the baby at 68! One has an issue with stairs...and I have an issue with heights HA! We were immediately escorted up the stairs to a table on the edge of the upper floor, directly under the speaker broadcasting jazz, which we asked twice to be turned down. The restaurant was all but empty when we arrived at 5PM, so I had wondered why we were placed where we were. The music was too loud and certainly not the kind of music one would expect at a high end restaurant like St Johns! All the food was fine, our waiter was excellent!, and the price is really too high for the value.
Another great meal at a great place to eat. Thanks to the staff for making it great.
Amazing service, incredible food, remarkable ambience
I enjoyed dining at St. John's Restaurant again as had been several months since eating there with the same lady friend last summer. I might have eaten there once since that time. Anyway, the house breads are amazing with three choices of potato bread (house specialty well known), rosemary sourdough (also a favorite), and a new brown bread described as pumpernickel yet didn't taste like pumpernickel, just a hearty Irish soda type bread so a good night for that. They usually have three bread choices courtesy prior to ordering from the menu so quite a treat! The house salad generous serving for one person as could eat 1/2 portion, other 1/2 portion for fellow dining companion the next time if desired. Did eat most of the salad. Loved the homemade Semolina pasta (spaghetti) which was slightly different than last time. Both of us ended up ordering each a Devil's Food Chocolate Layer Cake (like a pie slice).. so rich, decadent and delicious! Another wonderful memorable meal at St. John's Restaurant. I requested extra bread and sorghum butter to take home which ate partially for breakfast, ate remaining slices as part of lunch at work (got 2 potato slices, 2 rosemary sourdough, 1 brown bread slice).
White table cloth supper service, beautiful ambiance and most definitely a lovely place to sit down and have courses. Tile floors make it a bit noisy but you honestly can’t ask for better wait staff. Ask for recommendations by the staff because they know.
Wonderful! The food was amazing and prepared perfectly. Staff was very thorough and helpful. You felt right at home.
Great dining! Perfect food! Wonderful server, Jim L! Perfect!
Excellent date night.
Probably the best place to eat in Chattanooga.
My only wish is a little darker print on the menu and maybe a little larger print as the restaurant is not dimly lit, but also not brightly lit. My eyes are beginning to get a little worn out and I am to vain to carry glasses everywhere.
Exceptional service and exceptional food.
Great service and the pan seared Salmon was incredible! Loved the banana pudding!
St. John's was recommended by a friend and I am SO glad I changed my reservations to go here. The food was AMAZING and the staff were so attentive. I went to the bar after my meal and that was also most enjoyable. HIGHLY Recommend you trying this restaurant!
we go this restaurant for every occasions possible ans its absolutely amazing, never disappoints ,
One of the best dinning experiences. Everything on the menu is special.
Terrific offerings on their winter menu including fresh Red snapper and antelope. Our server was spot on with recommendations for the evening that will have us coming back again and again.
Great food and great service
It’s been many years since we moved away from Chattanooga, but St. John’s was as good as we remembered. Enjoyed celebrating our anniversary with such great food and service.
Server was attentive and friendly. Food was delicious. I had the antelope and it was really tender and cooked perfectly ! Upscale pricing, but definitely recommend giving it a try.
Had the dry aged strip and it was tough and overcooked.
Dinner was excellent and our server was professional and attentive. We all enjoyed our evening
We were a bit disappointed upon arrival for our Nee Year’s Eve celebratory dinner. Although we had a reservation confirmed for 6:30, we were not seated until 6:55 without a reasonable explanation for the delay. It started the evening off on a less than positive experience but, otherwise, everything else was as good as anticipated.
We had reservations and forgot about the time difference from Nashville. They accommodated us perfectly, just 2 of us. We had just returned from New York, 3 days of dining, shopping and relaxing and St Johns was at the top of that week of fun. We will be back and bring friends. Outstanding in every way! Thanks!!
The New Year's Eve tasting menu was absolutely superb. St. John's holds its own with fine dining establishments anywhere.
Fantastic meals for both me and my date. Very professional service and a atmosphere of good taste. My new favorite restaurant in Chattanooga.
Underwhelmed. Food was great, but ambience and service below average.
Ate at St John’s Restaurant celebrating 20th Wedding Anniversary. When we arrived, the menus were emblazoned with Happy Anniversary, a really special touch. We have eaten there more than 20 times over the years, and there are things you can always count on from St John’s; excellent, attentive service from knowledgeable waiters, beautifully prepared food and nice ambiance. Its always special.
St. John's did not disappoint! We enjoy trying creative dishes (like their Brussels sprout salad with chocolate) so we (4 adults) each ordered firsts, entrees and desserts to share/taste. All of them were delicious and exceeded our expectations. I can't wait to go back!
It was a great experience. It was our first time there. We were celebrating our 51 anniversary. The food was excellent and our server was very courteous. Thanks for a wonderful anniversary celebration.
Great evening at St. John’s! The food was exceptionally delicious. The service was outstanding - undoubtably the best that I have experienced in Chattanooga. For an all around dining experience in Chattanooga, you will not find any better. I highly recommend St. John’s Restaurant.
Outstanding experience—our server was knowledgeable and friendly; food was fresh and presentation was artistic; our first time and we had a quiet table at the window. Wish we lived closer as this would be our go-to restaurant for all occasions.
Great atmosphere, delicious dinner, good time for me and my wife. We will be back soon. For us the best restaurant in Chattanooga.
This is a perfect dining experience. The food is excellent and creative, the setting is beautiful, and the service is impeccable.
Never disappoints.. great server! Donnie can do no wrong.
Great drinks, food and service. Priced appropriately for the market, not cheap but reasonable value.
First visit to the restaurant and we were very pleased
This experience was a real treasure. From our greeting at the door to the friendly banter we enjoyed throughout dinner with our server, Chase. Food was outstanding. No course, appetizer to dessert, disappointed. We'll be back.
I can't recommend St. John's enough. The food was phenomenal, the staff was friendly and attentive and the overall atmosphere is perfect. 5 stars all around!
