St George's Tavern
We were expecting a Wall St British pub. It is part Chinese & British pub. Limited menu, odd interior & looks disorganized. I would not go here again.
I took a few clients here for a quick lunch and it was good. The downstairs dining room is cozy.
Went after going to 911 Memorial.... walking distance. Lovely landmark building and very reasonable. Great martini too!
Excellent food. Great place for a relaxed meal in the WTC area. Also, great drinks.
Had a 7 o'clock reservation for dinner. Never having been there before we went about 4 o'clock to have a lite bite to check it out. Had the Mussels and a Caprese salad to share. Both were outstanding.
Told them we would be back at 7 for dinner and asked for the same table. When we arrived the table was waiting. We had wine and two entrees, a pasta dish and a steak. Everything about the place was great. Loved the energy, wait staff and food.
Great service, food, and value.
Service and food great
Burnt hamburger meat is a no no when serving a burger in NYC
Appetizers were great but entrees were all terrible. They were cold and poor quality. I can’t believe that they brought a bottle of water to the table in a used Simply Orange plastic bottle. That is about as cheap as you can get.
The web site looks great but the actual place is poor. Don’t waste your money.
As soon as we walked in we were given such a warm welcome! The server was kind and we'll informed, able to make genuine suggestions about menu items. The menu is diverse with lunch specials that are reasonable for the city. The space is charming. A great spot if you are heading to or from the 911 memorial.
We really enjoyed our time there and he food was delicious!
Great find for our out of town Thanksgiving Dinner!
