First time at St Eve’s. My wife and I enjoyed the experience. Food was a little pricey , but good. Liked the ambiance, but it did get a little noisy as the evening progressed. Thought it was equal or better than the other area BYOB establishments we frequent. Will definitely return

I have been to this restaurant several times but have never been rushed out before. It was clear when we went for dinner at 6 they wanted us out quickly as the waiter asked for our food selection within 3 minutes of being seated. When we asked for more time the waiter gave us another 5 minutes. The main course came out so quickly we didn’t have a chance to finish the appetizer. After they rushed out dessert they asked us to leave for the next seating. The person who asked us to leave wasn’t even apologetic. It was the Saturday of Valentines weekend but there was no special menu or disclosed seatings. There were also empty tables when we left and no one waiting so why the rush. If you have time limits you need to disclose that. The table next to us was so loud that they apologized but the restaurant could care less. Very disappointing so now we will need to find a new place to have a leisurely dinner.

Food is exotic and unique, don’t forget to bring your own wine/drinks. Place is small but quaint. Excellent service and good atmosphere for dates/special occasions.

There was a limited prix fixe menu for Valentine’s Day, so this may not be the experience every night. But I found the food slightly disappointing. I ordered a pasta ragout to begin, but it had a cocoa dusting on the meat which took away from the savory dish. My lamb shank was 50% fatty and the carrots in my dish weren’t just undercooked, they were uncooked. Completely raw, unseasoned carrots. Service was delightful, but I’d avoid the big prix fixe nights.

The food was amazing! We ordered a mussels appetizer, fig appetizer and burrata appetizer. All 3 were delicious. My friend and I had the filet mignon stuffed ravioli's with short ribs for dinner and my husband and our other friend had swordfish. All of our meals were excellent. The restaurant itself is beautiful. And the fact that it's a byob with a liquor store right next door makes this place a perfect gem!

It took our server almost a half hour after sat down to give us menus and we had to ask for them. We also had to ask for more water and bread a few times and he seemed annoyed. The hostess was very polite and asked us how our food was. The food was excellent!

The restaurant was very noisy. You could not hear your partner. They need panels to absorb sound. I would not return because you cannot be intimate in discussion.

While a favorite place - not this night. Private party closed off main room. Side room was so loud hard to hear ourselves and one meal was sent back twice. Will try again but make sure no private event is scheduled for same time.

Haven't been to St. Eves for some time. Mostly because we cannot get reservations at a time that suits us and mostly because I wait until the last minute to try,

Managed to make reservations for this past Saturday and the experience was awesome. Great food, great service, superb ambiance and I especially liked the woman manning (is that correct?) the coat check. She was super nice.

Our reservation was early. 6:30 and the noise level from the nearly full restaurant, was most acceptable. We were able to converse quietly and could actually hear each other without difficulty. Something my ears appreciate.

Over all, an excellent experience.

I Put a search for best BYOB in Bergen county and St Eves was 1 of the restaurants that came up. Seeing as we had never been we tried it and were extremely pleased with our experience. They have a polished staff that is there to make sure you have a pleasurable experience and let's not forget about the food. That was just flat out delicious. We will most definitely be going back.

I am so grateful that a restaurant of this caliber is open for holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas eve. The food is superb. The service is lovely. It is Byob, so you can spend what you want on your own wine. There is a nice liquor store right next door. But the food they serve is a work of culinary art.

Was not a great dining experience. Seating was very tight...they really pack them in...and it was very noisy. Being a Saturday night didn't help. I would have forgiven all of this but the food was only OK at best. The short rib special was quite bland and not quite fork-tender. It should have been braised for a few more hours and given some sort of flavor treatment (tomato, Asian, something). At $38 it was the most expensive item on the menu and, or course, the waiter didn't give any prices for the specials.

Food was abysmal - lunch of rubbery chicken paillard and tasteless overdone salmon. Salad dressing tasted strange. Lovely server - not her fault at all.
