My favorite place in hohokus! Great food and service!
Food was expensive but just ok. Only 1 server on duty and she was clearly overwhelmed. We don't blame the server because it was not her fault but made for a poor dining experience. Mentioned we we celebrating birthday(actually 2- the 11th and 9th) when I booked through open table and even mentioned our friends' birthday several times in front of our server and nothing was acknowledged. Better choices elsewhere. Regrettably we won't be back.
Excellent special options - Service outstanding - very pleasant
Spectacular restaurant. Our fourth or fifth visit - it just gets better every time. Two small issues, but everyone knows about these - noise just gets high when every seat is taken! Vigorous crazy atmosphere on Saturday nite!
Also, our server was efficient, and not as personable as the previous servers we have had here. But you can chalk it up to the really busy atmosphere. We always prefer a waitperson who takes a few minutes to chat. Just not possible when the place is full. Despite the craziness the service was perfectly timed and provided!
Delicious food and most everything could be made gluten free
What a cute little hot spot. Good food and service. I definitely
Loved!! Everything was just perfect! Went for a birthday lunch and it was not only delicious but the service was great!!
Best food in the area; creative menu that never disappoints. BYO, but excellent liquor store next door.
Service and food topnotch. Highly recommend it. Make reservation far in advance. They get booked up fast.
Consistently great place! Food and Service is excellent!
St. Eve’s does not disappoint. Lunch for two of outrageous steamed mussels in a fennel broths and a beet, Pistachio, rocket salad.
Cappuccino was our dessert but there were many really yummy desserts to choose from.
Not impressed. Food was okay but not for the price, needed flavor - no salt and pepper on the table. Noisy, tables too close together - I could hear the conversation better at my neighbors table than at my own. Disappointed.
Nice local venue with interesting menu choices. Good atmosphere and very good service.
My wife and I had been to St. Eve's a couple of times prior to Thursday evening and decided to host a family dinner at the restaurant on the occasion of our birthdays. We enjoyed appetizers, pasta, entrees and dessert all paired with a fine wine. From start to finish we all enjoyed an outstanding meal accompanied by Christine's excellent service. Our opinion was shared by our adult children and their partners. We highly recommend St. Eve's, bon appetit!
Excellent food. Service was great and we were not “rushed”. Lovely lunch experience.
Menu and specials never fail to please. Very creative chef. I would never have considered putting a Thai spin on mussels and they were sublime. As always, Anik welcomed us with her smile and warm approach. Our server Christine was knowledgeable on the ingredients and preparation procedure of each dish. The kitchen is always willing to omit something or tweak a dish to your needs or preference.
Sunday evening is a great time to go. The room is quiet. The server attentive. The food delicious.
A nice balance between inventive cuisine and high end comfort food. Lovely ambiance. Our first visit back since this spring and we don’t want to make our absence that long again! We had a great time.
Average tasting food. Ambiance and service was great.
The restaurant was friendly, great menu and delicious. Service was excellent. Just a little noisy, but doable.
A very pleasant experience. Food was amazing! Very accommodating wait staff.
Enjoyable restaurant...great food great atmosphere great service. A little pricy for a BYOB but would definitely go back!
Excellent dining experience, as usual! From the reception on St. Eve's has their act very well together. Highly recommended to bring your family, or in our case some good friends that enjoyed the whole experience as much as we did.
The food is creative, beautifully presented and delicious! The service is attentive and knowledgeable. All around great dining experience!!
The food is delicious, seasonal and very well prepared and presented. The staff is well trained and very friendly, polite and attentive.
We decided to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary here when we heard that Chef Greg Stott was in the kitchen. He later came out to say hello and made us feel welcome. Overall an excellent fine dining experience worthy of our special occasion!
Very good food & service
Noise level very high. Difficult to hold a conversation. Appetizers were the goat cheese fritter which was good and the shrimp remoulade which was not good. Shrimp were fishy and the remoulade was unlike any remoulade I’ve ever had. Definitely a dish to avoid. The swordfish was mediocre and the chicken just fair. The apple tart was good but the cinnamon ice cream did not have any taste of cinnamon. Given the prices, sound level, and mediocre food not a place I could recommend.
Our anniversary dinner was exceptional! The short ribs were amazing, and the venison was incredible. Always an out of this world meal!
Nice environment and decent food. The problems were a. way too loud environment (have to shout to be heard) and b. snooty chef: when my wife complained that her steak was not MR, instead of bringing a new one they insisted that it was cooked to her liking...not very accomodating and we were still charged $38 for the entree.
Appetizers & Mains were good. Desserts a bit of a disappointment.
On a recent Friday night, the food and service were both very good. The only problem is the noise level in the main room once it fills up. Wish management would install some carpeting or sound-absorbing panels to help with this!
Outstanding food and service. The only complaint would be that the tables are very close together.
Everything about the evening was wonderful except for the noise level. Would not go back solely based on this. It was very difficult to even hold a conversation. Great food and great service
Innovative foods prepared in a very "special" way. All staff very attentive and informative.
Excellent service and food. Will return!
Always a great meal at St. Eve’s. The food is always good as is the service. It’s one of my favorite BYOB restaurants in Northern NJ
Good service and nice ambiance. Having Type 1 diabetes, I ordered my dinner with sauce on the side. It arrived with sauce on the salmon. I didn’t want to delay my friends whose dinners had also. arrived, so I did not send it back to the kitchen. Everyone enjoyed the food.
