   Top quality ingredients beautifully prepared. We sat at the bench and observed first hand the care that goes into each dish. A highlight was the seafood - the freshness was allowed to shine through, particularly in the carpaccio which relied heavily on the quality of the ingredients to make each mouthful a triumph. An interesting wine list and great service topped off a delicious and memorable meal.

   Looks more like a cafe not a restaurant.Food was lovely.The service was not there.There was a cook,kitchen hand and the owner waiting and serving.Took forever to get a drink or to get the table cleaned.Hire some staff and I’m sure the place will run a lot better.

   Hi Fred, Appreciate the feedback! We’re not your typical in-and-out kind of place. At St Blaise, we embrace the Dalmatian way—taking it slow, enjoying good food, and making meals an experience rather than a transaction. That’s why we don’t rush guests or run on strict two-hour seatings. We also don’t operate like a typical restaurant with waitstaff constantly hovering. Our small team handles everything—cooking, serving, and making sure each guest gets a personal experience. Most of our guests love this relaxed approach, but we get that it’s not for everyone. If speed is what you’re after, Matraville has plenty of great fast-service spots that might be a better fit. Either way, thanks for visiting, and we’re glad you enjoyed the food! Best, Vedran

   St. Blaise is a hidden gem for anyone who loves authentic Croatian food. What makes it special isn’t just the incredible flavors—it’s the fact that one man does it all. The owner is the chef and the waiter making the experience feel personal and unique. The food is top quality, made fresh and full of flavor. Would highly recommend the burrata, pasta ragu and the chilli prawns. Despite running the entire place alone, the owner makes sure every dish is cooked to perfection and every guest feels welcome. If you love great food and a personal dining experience, St. Blaise is a must-visit.

   My absolute favourite restaurant in Sydney, I feel extremely lucky to live so close by. The food is fresh, delicious and the service is the best in the city. Vedran is an amazing host, I can't stop telling people about this dream of a neighbourhood bistro.

   Amazing food and service! We ate absolutely everything on our plates and we cannot wait to go back and try more dishes! Fresh home made bread was a great addition and so delicious!
