The food and service is amazing. The music/sound in the restaurant is a bit deafening.
Great new restaurant in North Hollywood, near the Academy of Television. We had some really fantastic dishes, starting with some out-of-this-world Cheesy Tater Tots, and then shared a delicious Brussel Sprout salad, Black Pepper Fettuccine, Soft Shell Crab Sliders and a bucket of nachos bigger than my head that I had to force myself to stop eating. Drinks were legit as well, and the service was outstanding, friendly but not aggressive - the dinner was perfect. Will definitely be coming back!
This is a gorgeous new spot that elevates the NOHO arts strip of restaurants. The ambiance, flavors and cocktails presented are a step above most establishments in the area. I highly recommend St. Anne's if you are looking for something hipper and more innovative.
Really liked the food, very fresh and creative. The noise level was quite high so hard to have a conversation if you are older.
Such a great find! The food was incredible and so was the service. I highly recommend the lettuce wraps and pork belly sushi :)
Great food, drinks, and vibe. Perfect upscale addition to North Hollywood’s casual dining options.
Yes, just don’t get the Mac and Cheese. It was surprising very bland. The service was great. Lettuce wraps I recommend.
A great little spot in NoHo serving modern California cuisine. Lots of delicious plates to share and individual entrees. We had the pork belly sushi, beet and burrata salad, crab cakes loaded with crab and a fabulous roasted chicken.
Every dish was full of flavor. We will be back.
Great food at an affordable price! The only drawback was the parking. Other than that, I higly tecommend this place!
Loved the nachos with filet mignon and pork. The Mac and cheese with truffles was a tad too truffley - if that's possible. Soft shell crab sliders were yummy. Crispy on a soft brioche bun. Cocktails were delicious. The music seemed a bit odd as it was pounding club music. When we asked the waiter about it, he said that was the owner's choice.
They seemed a bit understaffed for Mother's Day and service was slow, but extremely friendly.
Fabulous everything! From the first moment we walked into the restaurant until we said our goodbyes it was amazing!
Beautiful restaurant with great food! Just what noho needed! The black pepper fettuccini is to die for. I wish the beignets tasted like real beignets. Other than that 5 stars!
The service was rushed, they kept trying to take away dishes that still
had food in them. The food felt prepared. They missed out on a second round of drinks because of the pace. 4dishes served and we were out the door in 45min, I prefer a leisurely dinner. I might understand it if they had been crowded, but they were half full.
The fettuccine was way too salty - like shockingly so when eating with the other food we ordered. Mac & cheese was nice, nothing special. Pork sushi, fine but eating something that chewy with the word sushi attached felt like a disconnect. I’m sure customers find it cute or fun but I wasn’t into it. Cheesy tots were good. Flourless cake was ok, but nothing to be amazed about. Actually nothing was WOW enough to make me think about it until I got this email to review. I almost forgot what we ordered and it was only 36 hours ago. Allison our server was friendly, intuitive and knew the right levels of servicing our table. Her sidekick, a youngish blond male was a little annoying. Right away he tried cutting a joke that if my friend was late she had to pay the bill. I joke around with people all the time, and not only was that lame, it sounded canned like he’d heard his boss say something like that and thought he’d give it a try. I smiled and said “good one” but it’s her birthday. Then he doubled down and repeated the joke again. For the record she arrived at 6:01. Around 8pm after I had paid and we were finishing our conversation he came back around and said do you want a little more water before you leave? The emphasis on LEAVE was so passive aggressive that I wondered if he’d lost a bet and now it was his job to get us out of the restaurant at the 2 hour mark. It was Monday. They weren’t packed, honestly we were catching up and I would have been more receptive if Allison or the owner kindly approached us and offered us a seat at the bar so they could fill our table. My grandparents owned an Italian restaurant. I grew up around the service industry. There are polite ways of turning over a table. Asking if you want more water before you hit the road is not one of them. Overall I would be willing to try a few more items, but with so many restaurant choices in LA it won’t be top of mind.
Had the cheesy tater tots, grilled peach salad, lobster toast, bone in short rib, and both desserts (flourless chocolate cake and beignets). Tater tots were unique. Peach salad had a lot of citrus added to make for under-ripe peaches. All items were relatively small except the short rib -- which was a truly delicious stand out with an impressive presentation. Owners/manager needs to select different music though. "Soft rap" music just added to the cacophony and did not make the ambiance of the restaurant.
Great food! And service.
Food was fabulous, drinks were amazing, even the music was killer!
I would recommend this to people who want an upscale alternative to the casual eateries that populate the neighborhood.
In searching for a new (to us) restaurant in the NoHo arts district, we found St. Anne's and are very happy we did. Our party of five sampled quite a variety of items on the menu, including cocktails, and everything we had was outstanding and very creatively prepared and presented. A special nod to the flourless chocolate cake, which might be one of the best desserts I've had anywhere.
Service was exceptional, the atmosphere was lively but not oppressive, noise level was more than tolerable, and the open front afforded a view of the mild street craziness going on out on Magnolia (good for lapses in conversation) without having to be in it.
It was easy to make a reservation. There is minimal street parking on Magnolia and the surrounding streets. I know this part of town is becoming more trendy -- I hope they have more valet options like Ventura Blvd. soon. The service (Taylor) was amazing. She was so helpful in making order suggestions and recommendations. The drinks were good and the food was spectacular. We hope to be back with some friends soon!
We were nicely accommodated by the hostess who found us a lovely table at our reserved time though the restaurant was very full and the table planned for us was "taking their time". No problem, nobody should be rushed from their table at the end of a good meal.
Food was very tasty, though right in step with most contemporary LA eateries of quality. Service was very friendly and efficient. We were made to truly feel at home.
My single critique is about the noise level. Like too many places, the din made conversation difficult. I am not a fan of current fashion embracing high decibels to create a sense of popularity and energy. Some noise absorption would make Saint Anne's a go-to stop on my list.
Over all, a wonderful place.
The atmosphere was very lively and pretty noisy, which made conversation difficult. The food was fine and came quite quickly .The ' to share' items are really appetizer size dishes. We spent about $100 for 2 people inc.3 glasses of wine total .A nice new addition to the restaurant scene n North Hollywood.
Oh how I wish this was better. I have been a fan of EAT for a very long time and was so excited that they were taking over this space just down the street for dinner service. The restaurant itself is comfortable and appropriate for a neighborhood place. But the food falls flat. It is aspiring to be a give star place with prices to match but it isn’t and frankly should not even try to be. The portions are small, too expensive and not all that good. My favorite dish was the cheesy tater tots and that is a sorry state of affairs. Now the alcohol. $19 for a martini? If this was the Four Seasons, then yes I would expect that. But crazy crazy too high prices. I love you EAT and I hope you translate THAT into dinner service. I would go all the time.
Head chef took his first night off when we were there and a couple of the dishes suffered. But it was overall very promising
All staff absolutely delightful; the plates to share were unique, dynamic, flavorful, excellent; as the evening wore on the noise level was tough to handle (but then I often/always have that comment); we'll be back - charming restaurant with charming people with excellent food.
The food, atmosphere, service were all superb! Great new joint in NOHO. Will go again :)
Very enjoyable meal and will definitely come back.
