Ran out of chicken, in general. Lip stick marks on my glass. A piece of aluminum in my daughters drink.
For my wife’s birthday we went here. Got seated at 7:30pm, ordered by 7:45pm.
Our meal came at 9:30pm.
Brussels were burnt and gross.
Server was nice. It wasn’t even busy in there and it took forever. Don’t try it.
Our waiter Jim was amazing and attentive. His attentiveness and humor made the entire meal that much better.
We travel to Bozeman once a year and have tried Squier house each time and, hoping the service would get better. It took over an hour to get our food, part of our order was incorrect. Poor waitress kept telling us our food was just “30 seconds away“. When our food did arrive, not all of it came together, had to wait an additional 15 minutes for the proteins that went with the rest of our meal. Extra items added to our bill at the end that we noticed. Super disappointed.
The menu made this restaurant interesting and it has potential if they can sort out issues of service. The room is nice. But the service was extremely slow. There was 50 minutes between the time we ordered and the time our meal appeared. Some of it appeared to have been sitting for some time. The manager said they were struggling with staff, but we did not encounter anything like this during our week in Bozeman.
The food was cold and it didn’t come out together. The service was ok.
The owner and staff were very nice. We had set our reservation for 4:30 via OpenTable but they don't officially open until 5pm. We had a movie at 5:45 so we thought that a 4:30 dinner would be sufficient. This was a Tuesday so they were not busy at all but we didn't get our food until 5:30 or so and weren't able to make our movie. The food was really good, though portions seemed smaller than anticipated. The drinks were really good. Overall we were disappointed with the cost as it related to the experience. Food tasted really good but still seemed overpriced for what we got.
Super frustrated that we were able to make a reservation through open table, drove here, only to find a sign on the door that the cook is off and they are bit opening until later.
Food is average and it took an hour to arrive. Didn't even give us water until being asked. No offer for bread. Only reason we came here was Cooper Whiskey was closed and this restaurant was next to our hotel. Definitely will not be back.
There is obviously a problem getting help at the restaurant. Our server was very good but limited by the slow kitchen. We waited 2 hours for our food which was not anywhere as good as we would have expected by the cost.
Our server forgot to put in our order. So we were there for a very long time
Not good. Very bad service. Things on the menu were not avail after I ordered twice. The bar tender did not even know how to make a martini. Very strange place
Waited for hours to have our order taken and then to get meals. Never asked if we wanted second round of drinks or appetizers. Food wasn’t served for so long we finally asked and the manager said the ticket was lost. Apologized and offered a complimentary dessert which never came. Worst service ever . 3 hours to get a meal
I was visiting from Napa Valley. This restaurant ranked 5plus on par with our world renown restaurants. Creative dishes, presentation excellent, cooked to perfection. Highly recommend. Kudos to all the chefs and assistance.
Our bread was burned, but the waiter replaced it and took it off the bill. The other food was excellent.
great bartender looks like colin jost
These guys dont even check the open table app, so theres not much point in reserving a table. Food was fine
Great restaurant, food was amazing. We will go here again.
Squire House will be a new favorite for us in Bozeman!
Tasty salads, yummy elk burger and generous pours for wine and cocktails. Yay.
Everything was fantastic!
Management and staff were attentive, professional, and friendly. Sat outside and although it was a bit on unseasonably warm side, they sat us in shade and temp was perfect. Our waitress (can’t remember name but it rhymes with beer) was amazing. Super nice and on top of everything. I ordered 48hr braised short rib and it was superb. My wife was not as hungry so had a salad with grilled sirloin. She said it was also excellent. Overall dinner and experience was perfect. Highly recommended.
Our server finished her shift and told us she was leaving. We paid our bills but co to yes to sit and talk for a while. No one ever came to refill water glasses. Not a biggy but
We were slightly disappointed in the duck confit, it was really just a duck breast that wasn’t seared completely so it was not crispy. They also brought out the incorrect food the first time so the waitress was either very busy or confused. We had good service overall and they were really nice about hearing our concerns but we will not return due to how much we are paying for mediocre food and experience.
Mike the owner was a joy to speak with and Liberty was the best server. And $6 martinis come ON!!! Great great great
Our service was fine, not great; considering the place was half empty it could have been MUCH more attentive. The food, however, was terrific and very well-priced.
Always a must do when inBozeman food is great and service too. A hidden gem
We had a wonderful family Dinner and the food was Awesome and we loved our Hostess
Came for Restaurant Week....what can I say...? I ate everything on my plate! Michael was a darling and very personable. Look forward to dining there again.
Food was excellent but the service was poor. We sat in the bar area and our servers were also bartenders and they were swamped! Took forever to place our order and get continued service. A drink order and app order were never delivered. Dessert took forever to order and then to receive (we were there to celebrate two birthdays). We were told we would get 2 complimentary desserts for the 2 bdays but only got one (not a problem, just don’t tell us we get two and only give one!).
Wonderful! Would absolutely recommend & go back❤️
Add to your list of must dine at restaurants in Bozeman, Montana. We were visiting from out of state and really enjoyed our dinner here. The service is exceptional.
Both times I visited, the service was great. Very helpful with wine and food selections and fast as well. Mixed drinks were great. Love the Bozeman! The food was very good and well priced. Good portions and great flavor. French onion soup and beet salad is amazing. the ribeye and sides looked fantastic. The ceilings are high and it can get a bit noisy but seating is set up so that we could all hear each other even with a larger group. Outside seating looks good. I look forward to coming back and taking advantage of some of the fun drink and appetizer specials that they run weekly. I will eat here again!
Kitchen was very slow; over 90 minutes for entrees. We were packed in like sardines and no diners were wearing masks. 6 ft separation would have been appreciated. If I get covid, I know it will be from dining there.
I would normally give more stars for a restaurant of this caliber but the service was way below par. Our waitress forgot half of everything we ordered. First it was our appetizer then a drink and then another. I can typically forgive one thoughtlessness mishap on my order but from a place like this I wouldn’t forgive two or even three.
The only other negative aspects is that there were no draft beers, only cans and bottles. That in itself wasn’t bad but I got one glass for three beers and they were all three different beers.
The food we had was amazing but I’m not sure if I would return with subpar service.
Extremely noisy. Host had his face mask down under his chin while he talked over the food coming out of the kitchen. Salads good. Everything else very bland. Asked for bread. Server brought it to table as we were finishing dinner. Also: open concept kitchens only work if kitchen is immaculate. Our view of the kitchen was less so.
Refined menu with friendly staff
We walked in and were promptly seated at the bar. Bar tender was pleasant and attentive. We ordered the pork chop and short ribs. The pork chop was a little over cooked, but the green bean casserole was awesome as were the short ribs. We weren’t in a hurry so it didn’t matter, but the food took a while to come out of the kitchen. Overall good experience and would definitely return for the service a d atmosphere.
Great ambiance and food was fantastic! Service was excellent and this is a great spot near downtown just off Main Street. Highly recommend!
