   After all the authentic food, I was VERY disappointed. Expensive food, muted flavors, waiter didn’t come back often. It was torture as we waited for the bill and to pay for the bill. It took forever.

   We visited 3 restaurants for dinner during our short stay in HCMC. This was our best meal. In fact we had a bad experience at Chopsticks and were disappointed at Le Corto. The Fois Gras Terrine was absolutely delicious! The mango sauce played very well with the Fois Gras. We also had fried crab in pieces with some kind of seasoning that worked well. My husband could not stop eating the Seafood fried rice even after I had served all the seafood and left half the rice. The eggplant side dish was wonderfully cooked. The tofu with vegetables was just that. The deconstructed Profiterole were a nice finish.

   The restaurant was elegant, staff were friendly, quite a private place. We went on a Saturday so they only served the buffet menu. You paid a fixed price for a few entrees, one main and a few dessert. Extra money for water. The food was not special though. For the same price I’d rather go to other places.

   Very nice design, the team is very great. Portion is correct for the starter, main dishes but dessert too much. Better to adjust portion depending on the shape of the customer ! why the menu is in English, subtitle Vietnamese and sometimes in French ?

   Square one was a very pleasant surprise- Vietnam and French fusion out of 2 separate kitchens. The food- Vietnamese was our choice, was delicious and very well presented. The wine list contained some old classics, some very interesting wines to complement the dishes. The waiter was superb, making good food recommendations in a relaxed yet professional manner. We loved it.

   The restaurant is in a very nice location. Park Hyatt is very beautiful so it is the restaurant. We could choose between a French and a Vietnamese menu. We went for the Vietnamese and it was delicious.
