Spring Natural Kitchen - UWS
In that great American tradition we take favorites from cuisines from around the world and make them our own. All our preparations are bound by one unyielding philosophy - to serve healthy, carefully sourced and delicious food.
Reminiscent of our food, Spring Natural's space brings together the familiar and the time-honored with a fresh, new, modern sense.
My friend ordered a bowl of soup and I ordered a salad. The server brought my friend’s soup immediately and after 20 minutes I still had not been served my salad. I had to ask several times what happened to my order and by the time my salad came my friend was almost finished with her soup. We essentially watched each other eat! The staff were all very nice but completely inadequate and the place was nearly empty so there was really no excuse for such awful service. They did comp us a dessert and a coffee but it did not make up for the fact that the overall dining experience was stressful.
Some noisy kids, obviously not the fault of the restaurant, but the tables are very close together, so it’s difficult if you get caught next to you me. Service was pleasant and attentive despite the close quarters. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Biggest annoyance besides the noisy child next to us was the refusal to seat me because my companion wasn’t there yet, despite having a reservation. This is a policy guaranteed to annoy customers. What is the point of reserving if you can’t be seated when you arrive?
Spring is my go to favorite place on the upper west especially now that I am on a gluten and dairy free diet. They stall knowledgeable and cognizant of the diet and go out of their way to make sure I don’t violate it. And the food is fantastic!
We were 3 different menu options: vegan, gluten-free and carnivore. There were good choices for each.
The G-F carrot cake was shared by all, and highly rated!
Decent choice for mixing vegetarian and meat eaters in one place.
Everything was just okay. Nothing memorable or special.
Delicious all natural food prepared without any fuss
I LOVE this place. I eat a restricted diet (no oil added plant-based whole foods) and they have THE healthiest options on the UWS. I usually have one of the salad or hot bowls without the dressing. They are very flexible with special requests. The food is fresh, the space is open and bright, the staff pleasant. Great spot!
As a long-time devotee of Spring Street Natural, it was fun to dine in this updated incarnation. The space is warm and inviting, and there is something for everyone on the menu, from vegans to carnivores. The space is warm, but uncluttered, and has seating at booths, tables, and banquettes for every size group or occasion.
My daughter is GF, Vegan. The options were and quality of food for us were exceptional.
Meeting a friend for brunch he suggested to go here. Drinks where great food was amazing
I am strictly Organic daily, so I am usually nervous about restaurants that claim partially organic, or "natrual". Thebfood here was great though, great quality. So this will be a new regular for me!
This place was amazing. The service was excellent from start to finish. The food was delicious. My son has several food allergies and they were able to accommodate us without making us feel like it was an inconvenience. The menu has so many options. My husband was able able to get his steak and I had a vegan curry dish while the kids had burgers. Highly recommend.
A simple but inspired menu, delicious cocktails and friendly service. They let you linger. Love this place and will certainly be back!
I took my wife to Spring Natural Kitchen before a show. We chose Spring Natural Kitchen based on a recommendation that they accommodate for allergies which my wife has a severe dairy and soy allergy. Upon seating we told our waiter of the allergy and he insured us that the meal choice would meet our needs. We double checked twice while it was being prepped and even after food came out we check once more. The waiter continued to say it was dairy and soy free; until my wife took a bite then he came over and removed the plate from in front of her. Turns out it’s neither soy or dairy free; which ruined our night as we had to go back home to get medication to avoid an allergic reaction. Subsequently we missed the show. Tremendous disappointment, I would give this a 0.0 review if I could.
Its just okay. Nothing bad, but nothing to remember this place by.
Spring Natural Kitchen was truly disappointing. I was not made aware prior to making my reservation that the dinner menu is ONLY available after 5:30pm. This is autrociously inconvenient for pre-theater dining. Also, the bread was cold, my salad under dressed, the gaucumole appetizer extremely small, the lentil burger so oily, that the texture was terribly gummy, and the quinoa veggie bowl was something panera bread could have thrown together. For the cost, it was totally terrible. Sadly, with their shift changing over at 4:30pm, there was no one was at the door to greet or seat us properly. Visit again, I won't.
Brunch with. 2yr old! Staff was great, very supportive. Really noisy and boisterous, with music played on top- a little too much for Sunday brunch, but the food was fantastic
The restaurant was full when we were seated. It didn’t impact the level of service. Love the choices of organic wines. The tuna tataki was outstanding as was the Trout. Excellent meal. Unpretentious atmosphere.
Outstanding. Super fresh and yummy. Great service
This was my first trip to Spring Natural Kitchen. Though the service was a bit slow, I and my friend very much enjoyed the food and the restaurant itself. I will certainly return here and recommend it to my friends.
Half off wine bottles on Tuesdays! Let’s start there! Score! Food was interesting and delicious. We had a great time - even saw Marilou Henner (Taxi) at the next table
the veg burrito was basically a pound of brown rice wrapped in a tortilla...how do they expect people to eat that? really terrible meal.
Ingredients were obviously fresh and prime, and servers were ultra courteous!
We had a wonderful meal. Everything was fresh and creatively prepared. As tourists for the week in NYC, this was the quintessential NYC spot with great people watching and neighborhood atmosphere.
Delicious food and excellent service!
This is one of my favorite healthy minded restaurants and my first thought for entertaining an out of town guest for the holiday!
Had to wait for AGES to be served - they got our order wrong - didn’t bring us bread even though they went to the trouble of asking us if we wanted bread. Burger was overcooked, banana pancakes were hardly edible. Really disappointing as I’ve been here before and had an ok experience. But definitely not good for brunch!! Too many people, too many tables packed too tightly, and not nearly enough waitstaff to be able to handle it.
Wasnt impressed with brunch. They open late, were very slow, and the food was meh.
As in so many restaurants nowadays, the noise level is impossible, unless you intend to scream across the table, and risk losing your voice. Food is consistently quite good for the money. Efficient bar service as well, drinks are great. Nice local establishment.
We had a party of 8, 4 kids included. All our dinners were fantastic! Special accommodations for our gluten free/dairy free son as well. We would definitely return.
Spring Natural Kitchen is consistently great. Excellent grass fed burger. They always have really good seasonal specials, too.
Mediocre food. Poor service. AND the bill for two persons was $90.00 including tip. Not worth the visit. Much better restaurants with better food for the price.
Great options for families, diners with various diet restrictions (gf, vegan, etc). Service a little slow on a busy Saturday night but overall good experience.
Food was really good but noise level made it really hard to hear. And we weren't a huge group!
Wonderful spot, delicious food. Amazing cocktails. Try the Hummingbird.
Amazing food! Delicious , Healthy , not very expensive
I just wasn’t happy that we waited a long time when others after us were served - bathrooms were also quite messy -little attention to the lack of cleanliness
Spring Natural Kitchen offers delicious food, attentive service, and a wide variety of creative dishes. I only wish they would turn down the volume of the music, so that you could hear the folks with whom you’re dining.
I was so excited to try this place since it had a little bit of both - regular and vegan menu but I was disappointed as a result. The vegan banan pancakes was just average, nothing to rave about and the French fries were just sad, very thin and dry. I mean, how can you screw up a French fry?! And to top it of, the service was just very laid back and careless. We sat down at 10:30am on a Sunday and the restaurant was just picking up speed and yet the staff looked so relaxed and casual hanging out near our table in a circle and making jokes that it felt very unprofessional. We had to ask for a server twice to get something we needed, they didn’t seem bothered that their customers might need attention. Very unprofessional service. Not going back or recommend this place to anyone.
I was sad when Spring Street Natural closed in Soho and so glad to find Spring Kitchen. We had a wonderful, delicious time. The food was fabulous, healthy, and well-portioned. Our waiter was just WONDERFUL wish I could remember his name. Highly recommend this place.
Service was slow- seemed under staffed for Columbus Day holiday
