Spring Mill Cafe
Sunday lunch al fresco on the porch at SMC is one of life's great pleasures. The kale salad with pumpkin squash was so good we each had one, followed by grilled trout for my wife and steak & eggs for me. The ingredients are absolutely top notch - the grass fed beef they use is as fine as any we've had in the US, and the trout was as tasty as it was gorgeous. Espresso and ice cream for dessert made this a perfect main meal for the day. As always, the staff are engaging and interesting people as well as highly skilled at their jobs. We love SMC!!!
Great food as always! Great staff as well...will keep visiting again for weekend meals or special occasions (this meal was for our anniversary)!
Lisa was an excellent hostess and server.
She gave us a tour of the buildings.
The food is outstanding.
We were not rushed through our meal and ended up having a four hour business lunch, dessert and all.
Exquisite meals and superior service for an anniversary celebration.
Always a great meal with great service. Love that the food is authentic French and love the BYOB part. Great for a couple or a party in the small detached house.
It's a great BYOB restaurant. The food is unique and the menu changes seasonally. Everything is fresh and they have quite a few gluten free options.
We like the food, atmosphere and service. Lisa was our server and I owe her a gratuity ($40.00). The next time we're with you, I'll give it to her. My mistake.
Always a treat! Love the rustic setting and the wonderful food. We enjoyed the duck rillettes, a cheese board, locally sourced filet mignon and the most amazing Moroccan bastilla. Everything was wonderful. I’ll be dreaming of that bastilla until the next time we eat at Spring Mill. Merci beaucoup!
Can’t say enough good about this wonderful restaurant! Delicious food, wonderful service and inviting ambiance.
Had a lovely meal on the porch, food was very good as was the service. Looking forward to a return soon.
Spring Mill Cafe is one of the best restaurants in the Philadelphia area. The buildings are reminiscent of a French farmhouse, the food reflects some of the best French cuisine, and the staff is helpful and friendly. Highly recommend the Sunday brunch—everything is delicious on the menu—where many of the dishes feature a country roasted ham, and the eggs Benedict have the definition of a perfect hollandaise. The desserts are a must—Orange Cake à la Mode, Montmorency, and Daffodil Cake. Other highlights: Salade de Bettraves (beet salad) and the Pot au Feu (boneless short rib). This place is a MUST.
Saturday during restaurant week so a little delayed at each service point but friendly and food was incredible. Normally they hit on all cylinders so maybe I’m spoiled
My date was beautiful as always!!
Lovely meal during restaurant week. Entree choices were well presented. The assorted pate' plate an optional choice was most enjoyable.
Impeccable service despite a very busy evening. Excellent food, a little bit bland but overall enjoyed and will go back
Restaurant was full and cozy. Easy parking
Fresh ingredients and well prepared food even during restaurant week
I just had dinner here for the first time for Conshy Restaurant Week and it was terrific! I had the pear salad, short ribs entree and chocolate mousse for dessert. I love French food and was not disappointed. Everything was delicious and I can't wait to go back to try more. It's BYOB too so don't forget the wine! :)
Great atmosphere and service. Nathan our server was superb. By and large the food is good. I ordered the rabbit with pasta which was actually not very good at all. Tasteless and not well plated. Disappointing. The other meals ordered were great.
Always lovely. Excellent food. BYOB makes it an affordable, elegant event.
A gem. Staff is wonderful and food is both traditional and exotic. Always a great meal and erperience.
Spent a lovely evening at the Spring Mill Cafe. It was a quite night so noise level was not an issue. I have recommended the restaurant in the past and will continue to do so.
Great unpretentious French food. If you love French food but don’t want to pay through the nose, this is your place.
Had not been to Spring Mill Cafe in years, but was glad to see the place is still going strong. Met an old friend here for lunch and the ambiance gives you the feeling that you are on vacation—all on the outskirts of Conshohocken. The cafe has a wonderful, relaxing, funky country inn atmosphere and a nice menu of French classics with a some creative options as well. I had a ratatouille and goat cheese tart in puff pastry, with a side garden salad, which was excellent. The fact that the place is a BYOB makes it a good value. (I brought a good bottle of wine, and it made our lunch feel very special—without the big ticket price.) Service from our delightful waitress, Kim, was friendly and attentive. All in all, a great time.
This place is top notch. We had the scallops, the pork chop, the tuna appetizer, the cheese plate, and the chocolate mousse...we overindulged. I love that it is BYO as well. Our server was a pro. Everything was excellent. It took us nearly 8 years of living in Conshohocken to finally dine here—I’m just glad we finally did.
We love it there it’s our home away from home. 😍😍
Charming spot with friendly service that offers casual dining for French cuisine that is more rustic. All dishes were well prepared, cooked and tasted good. The pork chop was perfectly cooked, but the sauce was a sour base and did not make sense. The chicken dish wrapped in light pastry and almond was a good blend of sweet, salt and optional hot. Nice flavors overall, but the chicken was drier than ideal. Much preferred over the pork chop. Appetizer of day was a yellowfin tartar marinated. It was quality yellowfin. Gazpacho soup of day was fresh and flavorful. Homemade deserts (orange cake and dandelion cake) were solid hits and tasted homemade, which sound like an odd compliment. Overall, for the price, you will have a good dining experience. Nothing stands out exceptionally, but for the price, you will have a well prepared and cared for meal with quality ingredients from start to finish served by friendly, attentive staff. Spring Mill does have je ne sais quoi, but I would venture to an untasted restaurant or two before I would go back. Rating: would enjoy returning.
Always a perfect time at Spring Mill. Favorite place. Outstanding food and service.
Beautiful setting, delicious food.
Everything was fabulous!
A charming and relaxing place for a summer Sunday outing...brunch is delightful...or a winter evening repast...the beouf bourguignon is a hardy meal straight out of the farmers kitchen. Service is always comfortable and the wine list is great (you get to bring your own!!!)
Rosanne was amazing. Everyone there was fabulous.
Sat outside on a beautiful end-of-summer evening....ate all the things and loved everything!
charming place, mostly traditional French dishes on menu with some variations, which makes it more interesting. I'm a food snob, so I'd say the food is very good for the Philadelphia suburbs, slightly above average compared to a good Brooklyn eatery these days.
Spring Mill Cafe and its staff continue to provide a wonderful dining experience.
We love going to Spring Mill! We love everything about it especially when it is quiet and we have our 98 yr old dad with us. The people are amazingly gracious, knowledgeable, and kind. The food is adventurous, always perfectly presented and fabulously tasty.
Summer tradition -outside dining on a beautiful night -special place
Wonderful meal. Great service. Beautiful restaurant.

Service and ambiance great as always. The food was slightly less then usual but still very food.
